In August 1926, a promise was made to the people of Bowling Green and Warren County, a promise rooted in compassion, access and community. When the Bowling Green City Hospital first opened its doors as a citysponsored, non-profit hospital, its mission was clear: to provide the best possible medical and surgical care at reasonable rates to all who were sick or injured, without regard to race, creed or financial status. That founding commitment became the cornerstone of a legacy that has endured for nearly a century.
As the region grew, so did the organization – expanding facilities, forming new partnerships, and evolving to meet changing healthcare needs. From the opening of The Medical Center at Bowling Green in 1980 to the creation of Med Center Health in 2016, the mission has remained unchanged.
Today, Med Center Health proudly celebrates 100 years of caring for people and improving quality of life –honoring the past while building a healthier future for generations to come.
