ment will feature 20 teams from across Manitoba, promising a memorable experience for athletes, coaches, and spectators alike.
Since being awarded the Provincial Tournament in May, Minnedosa has diligently prepared for this significant event.
“We have three of the best soccer fields in Manitoba, and with our experienced volunteer group,
the only challenge we anticipate is the unpredictable weather in midOctober,” says Tanis Barrett, one of the key organizers.
The soccer fields themselves are in top condition thanks to the efforts of the Town of Minnedosa staff, who have been maintaining the fields since spring.
Upgrades such as the addition of a gravel road to the upper field

have also improved accessibility. Volunteers have worked hard to trim overgrowth and ensure the fields look polished and ready for the big event. An event of this scale requires significant volunteer efforts.
“We have about 15 volunteers, including school staff and community members, who are all pitching in to ensure everything runs
smoothly,” Barrett explains. There’s no formal training involved, but clear communication and assigning roles have been vital in organizing the event.
The local business community has also stepped up to support the event, with several businesses offering sponsorships.
