Taking advantage of the cooler morning temperature of Friday, June 13, this painter put the finishing touches on a building housing the Gold Leaf Boutique on Minnedosa’s Main Street. A drive through town will showcase a number of summer improvements on many fronts, all adding to the enrichment enjoyed day by day by citizens and visitors.

Canada Day has always been a cornerstone event in Minnedosa, drawing families and visitors together for a day of celebration, community, and fun.

Florence

The 2025 festivities promise to be among the most memorable yet, thanks to months of planning and dedication by the Town of Minnedosa Parks & Recreation team.

This year’s celebration is made even more special by the grand opening of the Florence Bold Memorial Spray Park. The ribboncutting ceremony, led by Mayor Ken Cameron, will take place at 12:00 p.m., with free cookies for attendees. Family members from

across Canada will be gathering to honour the memory of Florence Bold through this lasting tribute, a space that will bring joy to generations of Minnedosa families.

The day will be packed with activities for all ages, including a pancake breakfast at the United Church; Free Zumba on the Beach and Sandcastle Building Contest; a Kidz Zone near the spray park, featuring inflatables, a petting zoo, face painting and crafts, a kids train, and of course, the brandnew spray park in full operation.

Expressive Dance with Crystal and TNT Family, a cornhole tournament, and food trucks on site all day.

The day will also feature the Valley Cruisers Car Show, Lions Club Canteen, Dari Isle serving ice cream from their new downstairs location, performances by
