You can discover great food, friendly hospitality, live entertainment and community spirit at Deniliquin RSL Club. Located in End St, Deniliquin, it boasts a diverse range of facilities, including a The Brasserie restaurant, a cafe, gaming area, Keno, TAB and outdoor spaces, catering to all tastes and preferences. Taking the time to eat at the local club will not disappoint, with highly experienced chefs, an inviting and accommodating service staff and amenities that other spaces don’t offer. The Brasserie offers a great range of menu options - including a South Asian night on Tuesdays and a ribs night on Wednesdays - or you can get a lighter meal or sweet treat at the cafe. As the weather warms up, the club is the ideal spot to escape the heat for a cool drink at the bar. Inside in the air-conditioning is comfortable, but if you prefer the outdoors the misters in each of the beer gardens will do the trick too. At the front of the club is the gaming lounge, which also provides plenty of space to sit and catch up, and there’s even a dance floor so you can make the most of the live music. Throughout spring there’s live music three nights every week. Among the performers are local artists like Shane & Sophie and Chris Bodey 4 Acts,
and popular visiting musicians like Anthony Tenace, Ray Macartney, Flow Trio and Michael Hogan. There’s also an open mic arvo on the third Sunday of each month. In addition, the club hosts monthly special ticketed music events in the Dunlop Room. This includes the Better Be Good To Me Australian Tina Turner Spectacular on Saturday, September 5 and INXSIVE - The INXS Tribute Show on Saturday, October 24. Unleash creat ivity at Art Sports You can flex your creative muscles at the now monthly Art Sports events in Deniliquin - think Taskmaster meets Art Attack. Competitors are grouped and challenged individually and as a team, with set tasks to test their creativity. The creative challenges are different each month. The new competition kicked off with collage in August this year, and other mediums that might be explored are print making, photography, charcoal and paint - the options are endless. No art skill is required. You can simply come along and sign up, or just watch the fun as it unfolds. Spectators do more than watch, they help their favourite players and meddle with others and choose the winning team.
Hosted by Harry Pepper Coffee and Deniliquin artist Mel Anderson, the community art-based competitions are supported by the NSW Government and South West Arts through the Country Arts Support Program. Mel is the ‘taskmaster’ while Adam sets the scene and Erika Heffer is the ‘cat herder’. Reviews from the pilot event in August included comments such as “I loved how unhinged the activities were” and “the community engagement and collective energy of the attendees was the best part”.

Scheduled for Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Deniliquin RSL Club, the annual event will honour individuals whose dedication and commitment have made a lasting contribution to the transport industry across Deniliquin and the surrounding districts.
Over the years, the honour roll has grown to include dozens of respected industry figures from communities including Deniliquin, Moama, Barham, Hay, Finley, Jerilderie, Tocumwal and Berrigan. More than an awards ceremony, the 2026 Deniliquin and District Transport Industry Wall of Fame Dinner will celebrate the spirit of Australia’s transport industry and highlight the strong sense of community that continues to drive it forward.
While the Deniliquin Truck Show and Industry Expo that usually follows this evening will be on hiatus in 2026, organisers will continue one of the event’s most cherished traditions, ensuring local transport legends receive the recognition they deserve.
It will be an evening dedicated to honouring the past, recognising the present and inspiring future generations of transport professionals.
The Wall of Fame Dinner will provide an opportunity to acknowledge industry identities who have devoted decades of service to transport and have played a significant role in supporting their communities.
The commemorations will continue on Sunday, September 20, with the annual memorial service at the Legends Rest Area in North Deniliquin.
Guests will gather in the Dunlop Room for an evening of celebration, reflection and storytelling.
Family members, friends and industry colleagues will gather to remember and pay tribute to those who have passed away, ensuring their contributions to the transport industry are never forgotten.

A collectors' paradise awaits Collectors, motoring enthusiasts and families are preparing for one of the Riverina’s most popular annual events, with the Deniliquin Collectors Club Spring Rally returning to Deniliquin Memorial Park on September 19 and 20. The much-loved two-day gathering will once again showcase an impressive array of vintage vehicles, machinery, memorabilia and collectables, attracting exhibitors and visitors from across the region and beyond. Held beside the picturesque Edward River, the rally offers something for enthusiasts of all ages. Visitors can expect to see a diverse display of tractors, hot rods, classic and custom cars, motorcycles, stationary engines and vintage caravans, all lovingly restored and maintained by passionate owners. Inside the pavilion, a fascinating collection of memorabilia and private collections will provide plenty of opportunities to step back in time and
explore Australia’s rich motoring and agricultural heritage. This year’s rally will place a special focus on Ferguson and British Motor Corporation (BMC) vehicles and machinery. Ferguson tractors and BMC cars - including popular brands such as Morris, Austin and Mini - played a significant role in rural and urban Australia throughout the 20th century, and many examples are expected to be on display throughout the weekend. One of the highlights of the event will be the annual Tractor Trek on Saturday morning, when participants take their vintage machines on a scenic tour of the district before returning to Memorial Park.

Get into t he Muster Spirit The sights, sounds and community spirit of the Deniliquin Ute Muster will roll into town ahead of the main event, with the popular Spirit of the Muster returning to Deniliquin on Wednesday, September 30. Now in its third year, the free community celebration has established itself as a much-anticipated lead-up to Australia’s iconic Deniliquin Ute Muster, offering both locals and visitors a taste of the festival atmosphere in the heart of town. From 10am to 2pm, Cressy St and the picturesque Waring Gardens precinct of the Deniliquin CBD will come alive with an impressive display of utes, live entertainment, family-friendly activities and community experiences. The event promises something for all ages, creating a vibrant showcase of the unique culture that has made Deniliquin a favourite destination for ute enthusiasts from across the country. Proudly delivered by Edward River Council in partnership with the Deniliquin Ute Muster and the Deniliquin Business Chamber, the event highlights the strong community connections that underpin one of Australia’s most recognised regional festivals.

All set for Deni Gold Cup
Preparations are well underway for the 2026 Deniliquin Gold Cup, with the popular country race day set to return to the Deniliquin Racecourse on Saturday, October 17. The track is in excellent condition and large fields are expected for the six-race card, which will offer total prizemoney of $76,000. The feature event will be the 2026 Deniliquin Gold Cup, a 1400-metre handicap, supported by a strong program of races. The meeting coincides with two of Australia’s biggest metropolitan race days – The Everest at Randwick in Sydney and the time-honoured Caulfield Cup at Caulfield in Melbourne – but Deniliquin promises its own unique country racing atmosphere. As one of just two race meetings held at the local track each year, along with the Anzac Day meeting, the Gold Cup is a popular fixture on the regional calendar. Pleasant spring weather at this time of year also helps attract a bumper crowd, with plenty of entertainment and a relaxed social atmosphere on offer.

What 's brewing for Pop & Pour 2026? Pop & Pour Festival will mark its 10th anniversary on Saturday, November 28, with a day of live music, local produce, and roving entertainment across venues in Echuca and Moama. Pop & Pour Festival director Jacqui Wegener said the milestone event would celebrate what festivalgoers have come to love about Pop & Pour while delivering fresh surprises. “Looking back and reflecting on the 10 years since our very first festival, we are incredibly proud of what Pop & Pour has grown into and the opportunity it gives us to highlight the amazing producers, musicians, venues and businesses of Echuca Moama,” Ms Wegener said. “It has become an annual weekend away for so many people who return to our region to celebrate everything we have to offer.” A new addition to this year’s festival trail is Two Lads Tap House in Moama, which will host Knot Entertainment and T-Sax + Decks.
“Two Lads has brought something fresh and exciting to Moama, and we’re thrilled to welcome them to the Pop & Pour trail,” Ms Wegener said. “That variety is what Pop & Pour is all about, being able to move between venues, discover something new at every stop and create your day, your way.” The music line-up on the trail includes AC2ZZ, Shannon and The Flipside, Stumbling North, Lokki Acoustic, Knot Entertainment and T-Sax + Decks. A historic gem in Moulamein
Rev up for Rochy's Show N Shine The Rochester Motoring Club Inc. is gearing up for its annual Show N’ Shine event at the Rochester Racecourse Recreation Reserve on Saturday, October 24.
A bright red 1926 Master Tourer Buick is the newest addition to the display inside Jeraly Woolshed at Moulamein Heritage Village. The inline 65 cylinder was the beginning of the Chevrolet 6 cylinder line, eventually becoming the Holden 6 cylinder. It was once owned by FS Falkiner and Sons, famed merino sheep breeders, who owned large properties in the Western Riverina. They owned two Buicks - one in the paddock and the other for onroad - as they were known for their reliability. The display car was located under a tree in a paddock at ‘Wanganella Station’ and was salvaged and restored. It is now owned by Andrew Sutton of Moulamein, who generously has made it available to

Rochester Motoring Club Inc. vice-president Alan Matterson-Harrison said the event had grown significantly since its early days. “At the 2025 Rochester Show N’ Shine, I think we got about 250 cars or somewhere in that region,” he said. “The club seems to have new members flocking to each meeting, with currently 218 registered vehicles on the books and about 30 motorbikes.” Mr Matterson-Harrison said membership was open to any vehicle over 25 years old. The Lions Club will manage food and market stalls on the day, with the town market running alongside the event. The motoring club donates proceeds of the day to local charities. “The money goes to running the club, as we are a non-profit organisation, but we look after a few other charities around town as well,” Mr Matterson-Harrison said. Showt ime in Berrigan The Berrigan Agricultural & Horticultural Society is preparing to welcome visitors to its 126th Annual Berrigan Show on Sunday, October 4, continuing a long-standing tradition that celebrates agriculture, community spirit and family entertainment. The show will be held at the Berrigan Sportsground, with gates opening from 6am. Recognised as one of the district’s major community events, the annual show offers a diverse program that combines agricultural competition with familyfriendly attractions. Visitors can enjoy Sideshow Alley, a scarecrow display, and exhibitions of vintage and classic cars, machinery, motorcycles and trucks.
