The first step to joining our District is registering The registration process is designed to be simple and efficient.

Online registration is available on our website Visit www.mcpasd.k12.wi.us and click the Registration button on the main page.

You can registeronline, but ifyou would liketoregisterinperson, schedulea meeting withthe RegistrationTeambyselecting the RegistrationCalendar link.

Before starting the registration process, be sure tohave proof of residencyand your child’s birth certificate and immunization records on hand.

Toensurea smoothprocess, pleasefollowthese steps:

1. Pleasecomplete the Student EnrollmentPacket. Itisavailable electronically through our onlineenrollmentsystemonour website, oryou can pickupa physicalcopyatthe DistrictServicesCenter, located at 7106South Avenue, Middleton, WI. Ifyou completethe packetonline, wereceive itautomatically. Paper packets mustbesubmitted eitherbyemail at reg@mcpasd.k12.wi.us orinpersonatthe DistrictServicesCenter

2. Ifneeded, pleaseschedulea registrationappointment. Visit our website to accessthe RegistrationCalendar and booka 30-minute appointment. Slots are typically available from7:30a.m. to4:00p.m. onweekdays. Hours may belimited duringthe summer.

2. Completethe Annual Student Verificationform: Thisformissentvia email each yearand mustbecompleted annually. Itincludesa “Health Concerns” section where you can provide important information about yourstudent’s health, such asallergies, chronic conditions, ormedications. Thisinformation helps our staff betterunderstandand accommodate yourstudent’s needs

Transportation plays a significant role in your student’s school experience, and we are committed to providing bus services toeligible students.

Todetermine yourstudent’s eligibility for transportationservicesand toaccessbus route information, pleasefollowthese steps:

1 Visit the District’swebsite and click onthe Transportation button Thiswilldirectyou tothe TransportationServicespage, where you can findeligibility criteriaand bus route details.

2. Click on “Attendance / WalkZoneLocator” (InfoFinder) tosee ifyourstudent iseligiblefor transportation

3 Ifyourstudent iseligible, pleasecompletethe “Transportation Access” section inthe Student EnrollmentPackettoapply for transportation services.

4 Once your transportation request is processed, you can view your student’s bus assignment by logging in to the Parent Portal. Click on the “Transportation” tab in the menu under “more.”

5 Pleasemonitor yourParentPortalaccount until yourstudent’s bus route information becomes available Ifyou donot see yourroute withinthree to fivebusinessdaysafter yourstudent isenrolled, pleasesubmit a request to the TransportationHelpDesk. Bus Pass / Z-Pass

The Parent Teacher Association uses this directory at the middle and high school levels. It is a shared resource for families to contact each other. If a family does not want their information included, it will not be available to others.

The MCPASD Student Services team includes psychologists, social workers, counselors, nurses, and health assistants.

Our school-based Student Services team works in partnership with teachers, administrators, families, and community agencies to support our students. The team supports student learning and ensures that allstudents develop the knowledge and skills needed to achieve their personal best Also, they work to increase student access to instruction and reducing barriers to learning. The Multilingual Services team collaborates withstudents, families, and colleagues to discover and build on the genius of every multilingual student so that they can achieve their academic and linguistic goals, graduate with sociocultural competency, and thrive throughout their years in our District and beyond.

The District provides excellent services for students withdisabilities in the following areas: emotional disturbance, learning disability, speech or language disorder, cognitive disability, visual impairment, hearing impairment, orthopedic impairment, other health impairment, autism, and traumatic brain injury. If you have concerns about your student’s development, contact the school principal and ask to have your student screened for possible special education needs

(SAFES)

We pride ourselves on our dedicated and hardworking staff, who ensure that our students and families feel supported One key group within our District is our team of Student and FamilyEngagementSpecialists (SAFES). Six SAFES are strategically placed across the District two at Middleton High School, two at Glacier Creek Middle School, and two at Kromrey MiddleSchool. To better assist our culturallydiverse community, each of our schools houses bilingual SAFES.

Our SAFES are tasked with many responsibilities, ranging from supporting students outside ofclass to running clubs and organizations, such as the Black Student Union and the Latinx Student Union

Additionally, the SAFES team keeps our families informed by communicating important information and forming trusting relationships with them toensure continuous dialogue.

MULTILINGUALSUPPORT

Solange “Soly” Rodriguez |

Beyond providing Spanish translation and interpretation services for our district and elementary schools, Soly also supports families who speak other languages. She ensures that everyone has access to the tools and resources they need to succeed.

Ari provides Spanish translation and interpretation services for our middle and high schools, as well as our District Services Center. She often helps facilitate communication between educators and district families and is also responsible for managing our Spanish-language district Facebook page.

The Parent Portal is the one-stop shop for families to review important informationregardingtheir students, including grades, bus route assignments, absence requests, emergencycontact information, and more

Once a student is registered, families willreceive a confirmation email to set up theirParent Portal account Please note that it can take two to three business days toreceive the emailwhen school is in session. During the summer, it can take until mid-August.

Select the date(s) of the absence and provide a brief description (e g., dentist appointment, family vacation). Once you have completed the form, click “Submit.”

As a reminder, our District uses Thrillshare to send out urgent communications to families. Phone calls willbe made from 608-829-9000, and text messages will be sent from 98900. Additionally, emails will be sent from the address noreply@mcpasd.org.

It is important to keep your phone numbers and emails updated on Parent Portal because Thrillshare syncs the data into the system every night

Add your student to your new account. If you do not know their ID number, you may skip this step and come back later.

Log in to your MyPaymentsPlus account. On the parent home page, you will see “Cafeteria Accounts” and your student’s name. Enter the payment amount, and then click “Add to Cart.”

Click the “Checkout” button. From here, review the shopping cart and click “Proceed to Checkout.”

Select a payment method or add a payment method by clicking “Pay with another method.” Next, click “Pay for Order.” After your payment is processed, you will be directed to a page with an option for an emailed receipt.

How toMakea CluborField TripPayment

Log in to your MyPaymentsPlus account. On the home page, select “Events & Activities.” You will see a list of available activities for your student.

Select the field trip or activity you would like to pay for, and then click “Add to Cart.”

On the checkout page, you will see your payment summary.

Select a payment method or add a payment method by clicking “Pay with another method.”

Then click “Pay For Order.”

Once your payment is processed, you will be directed to a page with an option for an emailed receipt

Select the “Checkout” button at the top of the page, and then click “Proceed to Checkout.”

STEP 2

If there is a closure, the District will promptly communicate with families before 6:30 a.m. through text, phone call, and email.

Reunification Process

If an emergency requires students and staff to evacuate the school, they will be brought to a secure site away from the school.

Families will then be notified as to where they can gather to begin the reunification process.

It is important to remember the three main steps for the reunification process:
