Travis Air Force Base paves the way for airpower excellence
FAIRFIELD — Travis Credit Union has been selected as the 2024 Air Force Distinguished Credit Union of the Year in the large asset category. The national honor was announced at the Defense Credit Union Council annual conference in Palm Desert. It’s the eighth time TCU has received this award. “We are incredibly honored to once again be recognized by the United States Air Force,” Kevin Miller, president and chief executive officer at Travis Credit Union, said in a statement. “This award reflects the longstanding trust and relationships we’ve built with our military members. For nearly 75 years, we’ve been committed to empowering our service members and their families through financial education, customized resources and community-based support,” Miller added. Founded in 1951 by military and civilian workers at Travis Air Force Base, Travis Credit Union has grown into a regional financial leader while maintaining its deep-rooted mission of serving the armed forces community. “The Air Force Distinguished Credit Union of the Year Award highlights the credit union’s See TCU, Page 4
