A parishioner’s major donation helped pay for a new roof for Episcopal Church of Our Saviour. Rev. Debra Sabino said the $130,000 price tag “cleaned out the church’s reserves,” and would be happy to receive help replenishing the funds. The California Department of Food and Agriculture has given El Dorado County $1 million to continue funding a glassy-winged sharpshooter surveillance program. The county contracts with Neighborly Pest Management Inc. for glassy-winged sharpshooter delimitation services. The additional money bumps the contract amount up to $5,522,000. The CDFA confirmed the presence of the glassy-winged sharpshooter in El Dorado Hills in fall 2024.
