Next year: I plan to go on a graduation trip with friends and commit to University of California, Santa Barbara to study Anthropology.

Career goals: I am interested in human sciences and social work.

Next year: I plan to attend Diablo Valley College to major in History. I also plan to work to save money and possibly participate in band-related activities. I want to try freelancing as well, potentially in editing or music composition. Career goals: I hope to eventually become an archivist or diplomat after college, working in archives or international affairs. I also want to maintain a side career in music, possibly as a music instructor or composer for film or personal projects. Highlights: I was part of my school’s band program for all four years. I participated in Marching Band as a freshman and was part of the award-winning Armijo Royal Regiment Mallet Ensemble from sophomore year through senior year. I also competed in solo Drum Major competitions and earned the role of Drum Major during my senior year. In 10 years: I see myself working in a museum preserving music or art archives, or in a field related to international affairs. I also hope to have a side career in music, since it is something I do not want to give up. Overall, I hope to feel content with my life wherever I end up.

Kyle Francis Durano

Next year: I plan to attend San Francisco State University to pursue a major in Nursing, while also participating in internships offered through the university to help me secure a position at Kaiser after graduation. I also may consider transferring to University of California, Davis in the future to further pursue my medical career through a master’s or PhD program.

Career goals: I plan to pursue a career in nursing and continue advancing in the medical field, with the long-term goal of working in a hospital setting such as Kaiser and eventually growing into leadership roles. Highlights: I participated in Cross Country and Track and Field for roughly three years and was part of the championship-winning Royal Regiment Mallet Ensemble for two years, where I built confidence and meaningful friendships. I took challenging courses, including Bio HL2 and Math SL, which have pushed me academically and personally.

Next year: I plan to attend University of California, Davis to study Mechanical Engineering.

Career goals: I am considering a career as a mechanical engineer with a focus on renewable energy.

Next year: I will intern at Kaiser Permanente through their KP Launch Summer Internship. This is part of my journey toward attending University of California, Davis in the fall as a Human Biology major. My current plan is to pursue medical school after completing my bachelor’s degree, with the goal of becoming either a physician or a physician assistant.

Career goals: My dream is to work in the medical field because I enjoy helping people. I hope to become a physician or physician assistant and build a meaningful career in healthcare.

Highlights: I was a member of National Honor Society for two years and served as club secretary for one year, participated in Key Club for three years, and was part of the Future Medical Professions Club for two years. Licensed Vocational Nurse certification, with the long-term goal of becoming a family practice doctor. Career goals: My goal is to become a family practice doctor. I am passionate about helping people, and I was inspired by my mom. If time allows, I would also like to pursue writing as a secondary passion.

Next year: I will be an instructor for the Armijo Mallet Ensemble, while also tutoring music at School of Rock as a side job. I am going to continue playing bass and vocals for my reggae band STONEFACE, and will be majoring in Music Performance and Education at Diablo Valley College. Career goals: I hope to continue pursuing music, whether that is performing as a bassist or teaching music as an educator. Brent Joshua Aficial

Next year: My plans include getting a job and figuring out what I want to major in at Solano Community College.

Career goals: In the past, I have shown interest in psychology, but after joining DMP last year, I have also begun considering a music-related career.

I am interested in writing and producing music, though I am still exploring what career paths that could lead to. For now, I plan to set that aside and focus on identifying a primary goal.

Highlights: My AP and Honors classes all had memorable highlights. Some of my favorite memories come from AP Language and AVID. AP Lang was especially enjoyable because of the large class size and our teacher, Ms. Burciaga, who was kind, supportive and funny. Our class formed a strong bond with her throughout the year.

In 10 years: I hope to be more confident and independent. I also hope to be working professionally in music production and playing some of my favorite instruments. I expect to have strengthened my friendships and personal relationships. And, if possible, I hope I can do a front flip – because that would be pretty amazing.

Next year: I plan to attend University of California, Davis majoring in Biology.

Career goals: I aim to become a general physician or another type of doctor.

Highlights: My favorite memory was making an AP Calculus video and playing rematch with Brent, Angelo and Arden.

Scholarships, awards: I received a lot of financial aid from UC Davis, making it practically a full ride.

In 10 years: I see myself having completed all of my schooling and residency in a hospital.

Elena Busby

Next year: I plan to attend Solano Community College for my general education before transferring to University of California, Santa Barbara to study Mechanical Engineering.

Career goals: I would like to study and experience the world with the intent to become an innovator who contributes to solutions for the many problems it holds, although I do not yet have a clearly defined path for what that will specifically look like.

Highlights: I was a member of the Scarlet Brigade all four years. During this time, I became an avid fan of jazz music and formed many longlasting relationships that gave me a wide range of experiences and fostered ambition and personal growth. In 10 years: I hope to have graduated from

UC Santa Barbara, obtained a stable career in mechanical engineering, and feel satisfied with my growth while continuing to work toward future success.

Charles Draper

Next year: I have summer plans to travel abroad for two weeks across Europe on an educational trip and then prepare for the transition to college.

I plan to attend California State University, Chico, majoring in Pre-Veterinary Science for my bachelor’s degree.

Career goals: My goal is to become a veterinarian, which has been a long-standing passion of mine that I hope to achieve.

Highlights: The AP classes I have taken in my continued effort to challenge myself and prove my abilities through strong academic performance on both coursework and AP exams. I was also part of my school’s math club during my junior year. One of my favorite memories was meeting my best friend while running laps around the blacktop.

In 10 years: I want to be more unapologetically myself, financially stable, and working as a registered veterinarian after completing graduate school.

Kevin Flores Ramirez

Next year: I am planning to attend a University of California school with the goal of minimizing student debt.

Career goals: I am planning to become an anesthesiologist.

Highlights: Making many friends through the Educational Talent Search program and Key Club, as well as participating in programs that helped shape and change my perspective on my future career path.

In 10 years: I hope to be on track toward my desired career while completing or continuing my medical residency.

Emma Garcia

Next year: I plan to attend a college to pursue a chemistry-related degree. During the summer, I also hope to secure a job to support myself while spending time with my loved ones.

Career goals: I hope to become a pharmacist or work in the medical field, possibly in a laboratory setting.

Highlights: Joining the Scarlet Brigade Marching Band was a major highlight, as it helped me broaden my horizons and create lasting connec-

tions with those around me.

Scholarships, awards: Salutatorian. In 10 years: I hope to be a kind and reliable person working in the medical field, able to support myself and live a balanced, lighthearted life with friends and family.

Daniel Gonzalez

Next year: I will be going abroad to Taiwan for a year to study at a high school and become fluent in Mandarin. I will also continue my internship with the Youth Tobacco-Advocacy Policy Project, working to help pass the Smoke Free Multi-unit Housing ordinance in Vacaville. While abroad, I plan to further pursue my passions and meet new people.

Career goals: I hope to become a culturally competent medical professional who can provide accessible and empathetic care to diverse communities. Growing up in a household where language and cultural barriers limited access to healthcare, I saw how difficult it could be to receive proper care. These experiences have inspired me to pursue a career in healthcare and help bridge those gaps.

Highlights: One of the most impactful experiences of my high school journey was the Fairfield-Nirasaki Sister City Exchange Program.

During the summer of 10th grade, I spent about two and a half weeks in Nirasaki, Japan, visiting schools, staying with a host family, learning about Japanese culture and myself. In addition, I had the opportunity to host a student from the same program in December.

Scholarships, awards: Two-time winner of the Solano Photo Contest, recipient of the Travis Credit Union Scholarship.

In 10 years: I see myself as a health professional with opportunities to travel the world and meet new people, continually growing and becoming a better version of myself through each experience and connection.

Next year: I plan to attend California State University, Monterey Bay and major in Marine Sciences. I also hope to find potential job opportunities while enjoying my time and spending time with friends.

Career goals: I want to pursue a career as a research diver or as a rehabilitator/caretaker for marine animals, whether in a lab setting or in their natural habitats.

Highlights: Joining my school’s marching band program was the biggest highlight of my high school experience because it gave me the opportunity to form many meaningful friendships and connections that I will always appreciate.

In 10 years: I hope to be working in the field with various marine animals, researching and caring for them to ensure their health, earning enough money to enjoy life, and being able to treat my friends and family.

Career goals: I want to become an elementary school teacher.

Highlights: I participated in marching band and was on the swim team for one season. I also took a couple of AP classes and made good friends, bonding over how difficult AP Physics was.

Career goals: I hope to become a nurse in Southern California and serve my community by providing quality healthcare.

Highlights: I participated in Asian-based clubs, made friends through the band program, and experienced success in competitions over multiple years.

Next year: My plan is to get a job over the summer to save money for college.

In the fall, I will most likely attend University of California, Santa Cruz, where I plan to major in Biomolecular Engineering and Bioinformatics. I currently have an internship writing for a climate magazine called Knee Deep Times, and after it ends, I hope to find a similar internship in the climate advocacy field. Career goals: My goal is to earn both a master’s degree and a Ph.D. I hope to explore universities across the country and around the world while completing my education because I love experiencing new places. I also hope to work on the industrial side of biomolecular engineering while conducting research.

Highlights: My AP classes because they challenged me and helped build my resilience. AP European History was my favorite because of the teacher and the friends I shared the class with. I also loved yearbook after-school meetings, where my friends and I would grab food, come back to design spreads together, and listen to music while we worked.

Next year: I will be attending Mount Saint Mary’s University in Los Angeles, where I will

Highlights: Some of my favorite memories come from my sports seasons. I played softball, volleyball and golf for four years and created countless memories through each sport. Although my senior season was cut short due to an ACL and meniscus tear, I would not change my experience. Scholarships, awards: Seal of Biliteracy, Student-Athlete Award (x4), Leadership Award (2024, Rodriguez JV Volleyball), Most Improved Award (2023, Rodriguez JV Volleyball), Resilient Honor (2025, Pacific Rim Volleyball), Student of the Year. In 10 years: I see myself graduating from law school and beginning my legal career while also starting a family.

Joanna Polk

Next year: In the summer, I plan to travel to Ecuador to visit my family. For college, I plan to complete my nursing prerequisites before transferring to a state university or Biola University. I currently work as a crew member at Trader Joe’s and plan to continue working there until I transfer. Career goals: I hope to become a nurse working in a hospital, with the possibility of also traveling as a nurse. Highlights: I participated in Key Club, Pre-Med Club, Christian Club, and National Honor Society. I also completed over 90 hours of volunteering at the Parkway Tutoring Center. Scholarships, awards: State Seal of Biliteracy. In 10 years: I hope to have completed a BSN nursing program and be working as a nurse. I also hope to be rooted in my church community and focused on family life.

Angel Prince

Next year: This summer I hope to travel to Italy and possibly get a job before starting college. I plan to attend either Grand Canyon University or San Jose State University, depending on my acceptance into SJSU’s BSN program, which I should hear back from later this month. Either way, I plan to pursue a career in nursing.

Career goals: I want to earn my BSN and gain clinical experience, ideally in areas such as the Intensive Care Unit or Labor & Delivery. After two to three years of experience, I hope to return to school to become a certified registered nurse anesthetist.

Highlights: I have held leadership positions in several clubs, including Historian of Key Club, Social Media Liaison of the Asian American Pacific Islander Club, and president of Leadership. Scholarships, awards: Seal of Biliteracy, Good Character Award. In 10 years: I hope to be working as a nurse anesthetist, having traveled extensively and beginning to settle down and start a family.

Brianna Ramirez

Next year: I will be attending University of California, Berkeley in the fall as an English major. I also plan to minor in Journalism. Career goals: My goal is to become a food or music journalist in the Bay Area. Highlights: Serving as the lead of the ECHS newspaper during my junior and senior years was my favorite experience. I also enjoyed being part of Leadership and participating in events and rallies. Taking college classes such as Journalism and Ethnic Studies was a highlight, and I would gladly do it again. Marley Rickabaugh

Next year: During the summer, I plan to travel to Australia for a couple of weeks. When I return, I will attend University of California, Davis, where I will major in Psychology. I also hope to participate in research lab opportunities while there.

Career goals: My career goal may evolve as I take new classes and gain experience, but I am currently on track to become a clinical psychologist.

Next year: This fall, I will attend Stanford University, majoring in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. This summer, I will intern with APAPA in a legislative office, attend a New York board retreat with EducateUS, lead at Girl Scouts’ 58th National Council Session, and serve as a civic engagement program guide at UPenn.

Career goals: I aim to serve as a congresswoman for District 8, focusing on reproductive health and public policy solutions in Solano County. I hope to address STI and HIV disparities by developing community-informed policies that improve long-term health outcomes and uplift marginalized communities.

Highlights: My high school experience centered on advocacy and leadership. I served as student trustee and president of ASSC, founded the Reproductive Health Club, and sponsored Assembly Bill 2229. Through Bloom 4 You, research, and multiple public service roles, I worked to expand health access, elevate youth voices, and create meaningful community impact.

Highlights: One highlight was taking the Fire 50/Fire 101 classes at PSA and participating in the program for eight years with my friends. I have also been in the Honor Guard all four years of high school, and it has been a joy to help my team grow and flourish during my time as Cadet-in-Charge. In 10 years: I hope to be settling down and starting a family, working in a stable career, and have minimal debt from college.

Next year: I plan to attend Solano Community College before transferring to a four-year UC, likely University of California, Davis or California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt, to study Fire Science. I’m hoping to get a job over the summer, likely at a fast-food restaurant or retail store.

Career goals: I’m looking to become a firefighter or fire investigator – anything in the fire service field. Highlights: I was part of the swim team at Fairfield High School for both my junior and senior years. I also took AP Euro, AP Psychology, AP Calculus, and AP Language and Composition.

Scholarships, awards: Principal’s Honor Roll. In 10 years: I hope to have completed my education and be working as a firefighter with a stable income. Ideally, I would also have my own house.

Logan Christopher Brooks

Next year: I will be majoring in Mechanical Engineering at University of California, Merced. Career goals: After college, I’m looking to pursue a career in the Fire Service.

Next year: My plans include attending Solano Community College and beginning work toward a degree in Business, with hopes to transfer to University of California, Davis. During that time, I also plan to serve as a volunteer firefighter with the Suisun Fire Protection District. Career goals: I hope to build a career in the fire service and take on leadership roles wherever I go.

Highlights: Some of my highlights include leading my school’s Friday Night Live mentoring chapter for middle school students and being a member of my school’s strength training club. My favorite highlight is serving as the Three-Star Commander at PSA.

Next year: I plan to attend University of California, Merced with one of my friends to study Mechanical Engineering, with hopes of designing robots. Career goals: I am passionate about robotics, whether they are used to automate tasks, explore environments, or

entertain people. I hope to work in the field of robotics and design innovative robotic systems.

Highlights: My highlights include serving as a Treasurer for eight years, participating in PSA Honor Guard and Color Guard with multiple Veterans Day performances and graduations across the district, serving as Cadet-in-Charge of Honor Guard, earning recognition in the Solano Campaign for Kindness (first place in 10th grade and finalist in 11th grade), serving as Robotics Club Treasurer, and playing Varsity Golf during my freshman year. In 10 years: I hope to be working in the field I love, designing and creating robots, and being financially stable.

Eduardo Hernandez

Next year: My plan is to save money and continue living at home. I will be attending either Solano Community College and then transferring to University of California, Davis after two years, or going directly to UC Davis if I am accepted off the waitlist. I plan to earn a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and I will continue working at my fast food job, where I have been employed since May 2024.

Career goals: My goal is to join an automotive company as an engineer and grow into a lead role, with the hope that the cars I help design are driven all over the world.

Highlights: My highlights include joining the VJ soccer team in my sophomore year, being in Honor Guard since fifth grade, winning our category in the Fairfield Veterans Day Parade with Honor Guard, taking AP European History, AP Calculus, and AP Psychology, starting my job in May 2024, volunteering as an usher at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, and working as a grassroots soccer referee. Next year: My current plans are to attend Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. I also hope to participate in a mission trip to Ecuador over the summer, spend time socializing with friends before college, and attend the SDA camp meeting in Angwin that I have been part of since I was 5 years old.

Career goals: I hope to enter the field of psychology, possibly health psychol-

ogy, where I can focus on preventative healthcare by encouraging positive lifestyle changes that reduce the likelihood of illness or harm. Highlights: My high school experiences include serving as ASB President, being a two-year member of PSA’s Friday Night Live mentoring chapter, serving as a Cadet Cadre member, and acting as a student representative for district student leader meetings. My favorite class has been AP Psychology with Mr. Mangum. Some of my most meaningful experiences include medical mission trips to Sri Lanka and Peru. Next year: I plan to attend a four-year university to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Biology. I will be attending UCLA in the fall on the pre-med track with the goal of attending medical school and becoming a physician.
