Fair Policies for a Safe and Fun Experience
Please make sure you are aware of the fairgrounds’ rules before arriving. They are designed for everyone’s safety.
• No weapons (including guns, knives of any kind, pepper spray) allowed on grounds – leave them at home or in your vehicle – we will not hold them at the entrances. Off-duty peace of cers may carry after checking in with our security team.
• No gang or similar attire of any type. Family friendly please!
• No Pets or emotional support animals allowed on the fairgrounds with the exception of Service Dogs.
• No outside food or beverages of any kind allowed except UNOPENED sealed plastic water bottles; Baby food and special dietetic foods will be allowed. NO Coolers. NO alcohol may be brought into the fairgrounds; EMPTY refillable bottles are allowed – They can be lled with water after entering the fairgrounds at our water re lling stations; No Glass Containers allowed.

Racing Pigs Return to Delight Crowds at the 2026 El Dorado County Fair

A longtime fair favorite, these talented little racers will take to the track three times daily at 2:00, 4:00 and 7:00 pm, delivering an entertaining show that’s perfect for all ages.

I would like to thank everyone entrusting us with your precious children since 1999. I love being part of this community and helping children learn and grow. With 4 children of my own (now 27, 24, 15 and 14), my own journey began in the daycare preschool eld because I was unhappy with the care and education I was receiving.
I have been blessed to have a large facility in El Dorado Hills where I employ 50 loving teachers and care for 300 children. We offer education and care for babies, Preschoolers, Pre-K, and private Kindergarten, before and after school. Don’t be fooled by our large size, our teachers make each classroom homey and warm. The kids have lots of outdoor space to play, we are on over an acre and have 4 large playgrounds, a soccer eld, and
an organic garden. The Gift of Kids outdoor area gives the kids space to explore, garden, and play on age appropriate playgrounds.
The teachers at The Gift of Kids Daycare and Preschool include talent that brings us music, yoga, and even Spanish on a daily basis. We have been working with soccer shots for over 7 years and have a very structured and advanced curriculum! Teachers here are all educated in child development, CPR and First Aid certi ed, and make it a priority to continue their education.

Step right up for laughter, amazement, and interactive fun as Circus Imagination & Clown College take center stage at the 2026 El Dorado County Fair. This lively, family-friendly attraction blends classic circus imagination thrills with hands-on entertainment, creating an unforgettable experience for fairgoers of all ages.
Circus Imagination will perform daily at 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, and 6:00 PM, showcasing a colorful mix of juggling, balancing acts, comedy, and crowd participation. Each performance invites audiences to not just watch the show—but become part of it.

Historic Studebaker Wheelbarrow Races
Return to the El Dorado County Fair
Placerville, CA — A beloved tradition rooted in Gold Country history returns to the spotlight as the El Dorado County Fair hosts the Studebaker Wheelbarrow Races, promoted by the Placerville Kiwanis Club, on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 5:00 PM in the Grandstands. Admission is included in Fair admission.
This one-of-a-kind event pays tribute to El Dorado County’s rich past, when wheelbarrows were an essential tool of the Gold Rush. Miners relied on sturdy wheelbarrows to transport dirt, rock, and precious finds across rugged terrain. Among the most well-known makers was Studebaker, a company that built its early reputation crafting durable wheelbarrows for miners before eventually becoming a prominent name in American transportation history.
The Studebaker Wheelbarrow Races are included with fair admission, making it easy for everyone to enjoy this lively and historic event.

Livestock Show & Junior Livestock Auction Highlight Youth in Agriculture at the El Dorado County Fair
The El Dorado County Fair proudly showcases the dedication, hard work, and achievements of local youth during the annual Livestock Show, taking place June 15 through June 19, 2026, followed by the Junior Livestock Auction, hosted by the Jr. Livestock Auction Committee, on June 20, with registration beginning at 8:00 AM.
Throughout the week, participants from 4-H, FFA, Grange, and independent youth exhibitors will present the livestock projects they have spent months raising and preparing. From cattle and swine to sheep, goats, and more, the livestock show highlights not only the animals themselves but the responsibility, discipline, and knowledge these young exhibitors have developed along the way.
The excitement continues with the Junior Livestock Auction, where community members and businesses come together to support these dedicated youth. People’s Choice Voting Returns to Celebrate Creative Excellence at the El Dorado
County Fair
The El Dorado County Fair invites guests to take part in one of its most engaging and interactive traditions—People’s Choice Voting—celebrating the incredible talent on display in Fine Art, Photography, Minerals & Mining, Quilts, Favorite Wool, Favorite Floral Niches, and Favorite Cross Stitch.
Throughout each day of the fair, visitors are encouraged to explore the exhibits and cast their votes for their favorite entries. From stunning handcrafted quilts and intricate cross stitch work to breathtaking

Expert Advice in Bloom at the El Dorado County Fair
Fairgoers looking to grow their gardening knowledge or learn the art of food preservation will find a wealth of expertise at this year’s El Dorado County Fair, June 18–21, 2026.
Inside the Floriculture Building, the University of California Master Gardeners will be on hand throughout the day to answer questions on everything from soil health and pest management to plant selection and seasonal care. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just getting started, their booth is the perfect place to dig into practical, research-based advice.
Over in the Home Arts Building, the Master Food Preservers will be sharing tips and techniques for safely preserving food at home. In addition to answering questions, they will host live demonstrations, giving fairgoers a chance to see food preservation methods in action and learn skills they can take back to their own kitchens, and perhaps a taste or two of the delicious results.
