FAIRFIELD — Solano County missed the mark Tuesday in its quest to relax restrictions placed on businesses and personal interactions due to the pandemic. The county reported just 16 new cases of novel coronavirus infection, saw a significant reduction in the number of active cases and a drop in the seven-day positivity testing rate. Hospitalizations among people with Covid-19 increased but matyas remain low overall – especially when compared to the winter surge. FAIRFIELD — Solano County supervisors on Tuesday appointed 14 of 15 representatives from their five districts to the 2021 Redistricting Advisory Committee. Board Chairman John Vasquez’s appointments were not included in the written material, but he announced Steven Greenberg and Lois Cross will be two of the members. If Solano County can drop below 2% and remain there, that two-tier shift would likely be enough for the county to move to the orange tier.
