cenotaph honoring fallen local military service members has been constructed in their memory, memorializing the 12 who served in both Afghanistan and Iraq in the parking lot of the El Dorado Veterans Services Office in Placerville. The Military Family Support Group of El Dorado County unanimously approved construction of the cenotaph by Rescue Boy Scout Troop 700 member Matthew Woodin as his Eagle Scout project.
