The homeless encampment cleanup on upper Broadway in Placerville commenced on a cold Monday morning. Facilitated by the California Department of Transportation, environmental specialist crews from American Integrated Services donning hazmat gear started the project as snow began to create another obstacle for the workers clearing out tents, furniture, human waste and other items left by camp occupants.
