Over the decades, The McGee Group has brought inspired eyewear collections to optical professionals across the country, from boutique names to iconic lifestyle brands.

1976

McGee Eye Fashions

Known today as The McGee Group, our company is founded.

1992

Totally Rimless joins the family and is now our longest, continuous brand.

2005

Ducks Unlimited and Vera Bradley, two unique and different brands, come aboard.

2008 XOXO joins our portfolio.

2011

Couture brand Badgley Mischka and Argyleculture pop up on the scene.

2016

Trina Turk brings sun- drenched style and bold, modern elegance.

2017

Life is Good brings easygoing optimism and playful color to The McGee Group.

2019

Mr Turk is launched, crafted by the minds behind Trina Turk.

2026

Outdoor lifestyle brand, Mossy Oak, becomes part of The McGee Group’s portfolio.

2021

In-house brand Jenny Lynn is created, named after co-founder and matriarch of the McGee family.

Giving Back

Since 1998, the Vera Bradley Foundation has raised over $41 million for research and treatment in the fight against breast cancer. The McGee Group has partnered with the Foundation for more than 20 years, sharing the Foundation’s commitment to finding a cure. Every year, we debut a line of eyewear featuring Vera Bradley’s annual Foundation patterns and colors. The McGee Group also donates a portion of every Vera Bradley frame sold to support the work of the Foundation.

The Life is Good Playmaker Project is a non-profit, fueled by optimism and joy, and powered by an annual donation of 10% of net profits from the Life is Good Company, along with the generous support of everyday optimists (like you!) who believe in the power of play to help kids heal. Through Playmakers, the Life is Good Playmaker Project impacts over one million kids every year. Our vision is a world where kids who’ve endured the most devastating circumstances have the relationships and experiences they need to heal, grow, and thrive.

Ducks Unlimited was founded in the late 1930s by a small group of sportsmen to protect the nation’s dwindling waterfowl population. Now a world leader in wetlands and waterfowl conservation, Ducks Unlimited has more than 737,000 members and has conserved more than 15 million acres of land. As a proud partner since 2006, The McGee Group is inspired by the commitment of Ducks Unlimited to conserve America’s wetlands. Since the program’s inception, DU Eyewear has donated more than $1.5 million towards the mission of wetlands conservation.

Jenny Lynn McGee was a mission-oriented volunteer who devoted her time to helping girls find their natural beauty and let it shine from within. Five percent of net profits from the Jenny Lynn Eyewear collection go to the Jenny Lynn Foundation, which funds organizations that strive to help women impacted by circumstances beyond their control.
