CLUB UPDATES

Dear Members,

I wanted to take a moment to give everyone an update on the progress following the fire sprinkler damage in the clubhouse, along with a few other projects happening around the club

It’s officially been a month since the incident, and I want to thank you for your continued patience over the past few weeks with the disruption. Situations like this are never ideal, but overall the cleanup and restoration process has gone smoothly. Damaged materials were removed quickly, drying equipment was brought in, and we’ve been working closely with contractors and the insurance company to move the repairs along as efficiently as possible

The good news is that we’re making solid progress Most of the drywall repairs and painting in the affected areas should be completed by next week Some of the final finishing work will need to wait until we receive final approval from the insurance adjuster

As part of that process, we also plan to replace the flooring in both the yoga room and the men’s locker room entry over the next few weeks. This will allow us to fully restore those spaces back to normal.

We’re also using this opportunity to address additional work on the clubhouse fire sprinkler system to ensure everything is operating properly and reliably moving forward Contractors are currently replacing the pipes and sprinkler heads on the exterior of the building and will proceed with the interior work over the next several months

You may have also noticed that we’ve had to move our offices while the repairs are taking place. The administrative offices have been relocated, and the Food & Beverage team will now be operating out of the former boardroom just outside the kitchen. My office has also moved and is now located to the left of the lobby in the space that previously served as the Membership Director’s office.

We haven’t made a final decision yet on how we will ultimately use the former administrative office space. We want to take a little time to think through the best use for the club and membership, so that decision may take a few months to finalize I will certainly keep you updated as work continues to progress

Beyond the clubhouse repairs, we have several other projects moving forward around the property. The tennis building is getting very close to completion. Unfortunately, we have experienced some delays due to the city’s approval and inspection process, but we anticipate finishing the remaining site improvements soon. Once the building is complete, it will provide bathrooms as well as office and storage space to better support our tennis and pickleball operations.

Our golf course team continues to focus on early-season course conditions, and the course is shaping up nicely as we head into spring Due to the colder weather over the past few months, some of our early-season work has been slightly delayed, but the team is making great progress as temperatures begin to improve

We’ve also started the process of getting the pool complex ready for the upcoming season, which always means warmer days are right around the corner.

While the past few weeks have certainly been eventful, I’m proud of how quickly the team has responded and how much progress has been made in a short amount of time. We’ll continue to keep everyone updated as things move along.

Thank you again for your patience and support, and I look forward to seeing everyone around the club soon

Warm regards,

TREYBURN GOLF NEWS

Dear Treyburn Members,

After a cold, wet, and snowy winter, it is wonderful to see all of our members’ friendly faces once again. Below you will find the 2026 Golf Calendar. This year’s event schedule is filled with tournaments for players of every skill level, and we have made a few adjustments that we hope you will enjoy

We will kick off the season with our Glow Golf Event on March 5 We have partnered with Glow Vibe Golf to make this event brighter than ever before! This promises to be a fun-filled evening as the course comes alive with glowing golf balls and illuminated bunkers, creeks, and greens

Our Cabin Fever Tournament will be held on Saturday, March 14. This stress-free event is a great way to start off the season. Teams of two will compete in a captain’s choice format with a 10:00 a.m. shotgun start and a lunch buffet following play. The event is open to all membership types and is a wonderful opportunity to meet fellow members. You may sign up as a team or individually, and the professional staff will gladly pair you The cost is $35 per player

The TMGA Divot Party has been moved to April 14 to allow the grass additional time to begin growing before we fill the remaining divots with sand During this event, members will head out onto the course to fill fairway divots This effort goes a long way in helping Mark Snell and his team prepare for the growing season and ensure the course is in excellent condition for spring play Following the divot work, we will gather upstairs in the clubhouse to enjoy burgers, hot dogs, and snacks. We hope to see you there!

The Men’s 1st Annual Treyburn Spring 2-Day Invitational will take place on May 15–16. The registration window opens on March 14 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Those who were on the waitlist for the October Men’s Member-Guest will have first right of refusal and will be contacted prior to registration opening. Remaining spots will be available to all Golf Access Membership types. Teams will consist of one member and one guest at a cost of $800 per team Additional details will be shared prior to registration

Demand continues to grow for our Men’s Member-Guest, scheduled for October 1–3 Due to high demand, this event will be restricted to V-Club and Full Golf Membership types If spots remain following the registration window, they will open to Junior and Fazio Membership types, and a lottery will be conducted if necessary

Weekend tee times will return to an 8:00 a.m. start following Daylight Saving Time on March 8. The practice range will be open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and the Golf Shop hours will be 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

We are excited to share that several projects are underway to enhance the member experience. A new cart path is being added near the bag drop area to allow golfers easier access to the parking lot Previously, players had to drive around the traffic circle to reach the main lot This improvement complements the daily bag drop service offered in front of the clubhouse

During my tenure at Treyburn, I have seen a significant increase in walking rounds One challenge has been that our current sand bottles are heavy and too large for golf bags or push carts This offseason, we purchased a large storage chest that will be placed between Holes 1 and 10 near the white tee box, housing 80 walking sand bottles. These new bottles are sleeker and easier to carry. They should arrive within the first two weeks of March. As always, we appreciate the steps our members and guests take to keep the course in tournament-ready condition.

Mark Snell and his team have also been working diligently to remove select trees both on the course and around the property. This will allow for increased sunlight and airflow, promoting the healthy growth of Zoysia and Bermuda grasses Please know that tree removal is done only when necessary to improve turf health, address disease, or ensure equitable playability across all teeing areas

As always, I appreciate your continued support of the Treyburn Golf Operation If our staff can assist you in any way, please do not hesitate to contact me

Best Regards,

2026 marks the 100th anniversary of Sedgefield Country Club and its historic Donald Ross–designed golf course in Greensboro, North Carolina This video highlights the club’s early history, from its founding in 1926 to its lasting influence on professional golf and regional sports Sedgefield hosted early editions of the Greater Greensboro Open now the Wyndham Championship featuring legends such as Sam Snead, Ben Hogan, and Byron Nelson, and is the birthplace of the Atlantic Coast Conference Today, under McConnell Golf, Sedgefield continues to honor its past while building for the future. PROGRESS CONTINUES ON COURSE RENOVATION PROJECT IN BLYTHEWOOD, SOUTH CAROLINA

With work on the Black 9 now complete, the renovation project at Cobblestone Golf Club has shifted to the Garnet 9 All bunkers will be rebuilt with Capillary Concrete liners and new sand, accompanied by subtle shaping to improve drainage and minimize washouts. The project also includes the installation of new concrete cart paths, selective rerouting for improved playability, and tree removal as needed to protect the new infrastructure.

The 2019 Perry’s Blend is a beautifully crafted Bordeaux-style Napa Valley red from Juslyn Vineyards, showcasing the intensity that defines the Spring Mountain District Juslyn Vineyards was founded by Perry and Carolyn Butler in 1997 after they left the tech world to pursue their passion for winemaking Their vineyard sits high above Napa Valley, where cooler mountain temperatures help create wines with great depth and character They focus on small-lot production and hands-on care, apparent in every bottle.

Bright red cherry and black currant lead the way, layered with hints of spice and subtle oak. Silky, polished tannins give the wine a graceful structure, while its supple texture and balanced acidity carry through to a long, lingering finish The result is a wine that is both powerful and refined equally suited for savoring now or pairing with a memorable meal. To reserve, please contact your club’s food & beverage director
