As we move into May and June, the club is in full swing Longer days, beautiful weather, and a vibrant lineup of events make this an ideal time to enjoy all that Holston Hills has to offer Whether you’re on the course, by the pool, or dining with friends, the start of summer brings a special energy to the community
Over the past two months, March and April have been especially busy on the membership side It’s been one of those stretches where catching up on emails, returning phone calls, and keeping up with daily inquiries feels like a moving target but in the best way possible.
We were excited to welcome 19 new families to the Holston Hills Country Club and McConnell Golf community Even more meaningful, 13 of those families joined through member referrals, which truly makes me smile It says so much about the pride you all have in your club and your willingness to share it with others.
As summer brings more members out to the club, we kindly ask everyone to be extra mindful in the parking lot Please take a moment to look bothwayswhenpullingoutanddouble-checkyoursurroundingsbeforebackingup,especiallywithlittleonesheadingtothepool.
Parents, the parking lot can become quite busy this time of year Please make sure your children are wearing shoes while walking across the lot fortheirsafety, andremindthemtostayawareoftheirsurroundingsandclosetoyou.

A NOTE FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER
Dear HHCC Members,
As we turn the page into May and June, there’s an unmistakable energy around Holston Hills one that signals the start of a busy and exciting season ahead.
We are thrilled to welcome the Visit Knoxville Open back to the Club This event continues to be a highlight not only for our course but for our entire membership experience. It’s always impressive to watch the transformation of the property and to be part of such a premier event in our community.
Our summer tournament season is full steam ahead, setting the stage for a distinguished stretch of golf. These events
remain central to the rhythm of club life, and we look forward to full fields, competitive play, and the fellowship shared across the course
Inside the clubhouse, we’re excited to introduce our new Banquet Manager, Jessie Duval. Jessie has hit the ground running and is already fitting in like she’s been here for years. We’re so glad to have her on board and can’t wait for you all to get to know her
And of course…pool season is back. Seeing the pool open never gets old, and this year we’re especially excited to have Shearer Ashley leading the charge She’s bringing great energy to the space, and we know it’s going to be a fun and lively season for families and friends alike.
We’re also looking forward to enhancements to our pool bar area, giving us the opportunity to better serve all of your favorite poolside snacks and refreshments making it even easier to settle in and enjoy your time by the pool
It’s shaping up to be a full, fun, and memorable season, and we’re glad to be spending it with all of you
Warm regards,

McConnell Golf once again placed all of its North Carolina private clubs among the state’s Top 100 courses, highlighted by four clubs earning Top 25 rankings in the North Carolina Golf Panel’s 30th annual statewide rankings, published in the April issue of Business North Carolina magazine
Leading the portfolio is Greensboro’s Sedgefield Country Club, home of the PGA TOUR’s Wyndham Championship, ranked No 7 in North Carolina Old North State Club in New London followed at No 11, while Raleigh Country Club climbed to No 15 Durham’s Treyburn Country Club made one of the year’s biggest moves, jumping four spots into the Top 25 at No 25 In total, 11 McConnell Golf courses earned Top 100 recognition statewide, marking a strong year of upward momentum across the company’s North Carolina portfolio
Several Triangle-area clubs posted notable improvements. The Country Club at Wakefield Plantation in Raleigh made a significant leap, rising to No. 75 from No. 94 last year. Treyburn’s move into the Top 25 further strengthened the region’s standing among the state’s premier courses. Eastern North Carolina also saw major gains, as Wilson Country Club surged into the Top 100 at No. 84 after being unranked last year one of the largest upward moves in this year’s rankings
Other McConnell Golf properties earning Top 100 honors include:
Country Club of Asheville, ranked No 52, up two spots year-over-year
The Cardinal by Pete Dye in Greensboro, ranked No 54, continuing its steady upward trend
Porters Neck Country Club in Wilmington, improving to No 57
Providence Country Club in Charlotte, ranked No. 85.
Brook Valley Country Club in Greenville, rounding out the list at No. 100.
McConnell Golf remains the only individual golf course owner in the world to steward four Donald Ross-designed courses, including Sedgefield Country Club and Raleigh Country Club, both of which continue to rank among North Carolina’s elite layouts The 2026 North Carolina Golf Panel rankings, based on playability, design, conditioning and experience, highlight another strong year driven by continued investment in courses, facilities and member experience
