Dear Friends,

Momentum is a powerful force. It’s the forward motion that carries us from where we are to where we want to be. At Metropolitan Community College, we feel its push every day. It’s in the excitement of students stepping onto campus for the first time, in the creativity of our faculty and staff, and in the generosity of supporters like you who make our progress possible.

Because of you, the College’s mission to provide relevant, student-centered education to a diverse community of learners comes to life. Your support helps students reach their goals, inspires innovation across our programs and strengthens our connection to the communities we serve. Together, we’re not just keeping pace — we’re building momentum.

This past year, that momentum showed up in meaningful ways:

For students. In 2024–25, the MCC Foundation awarded scholarships from 161 donor-supported funds to 1,336 students, totaling $1.8 million in direct support.

For the community. MCC continues to shape a future where education, innovation and opportunity intersect. From our new Biotechnology Lab to our AI planning initiatives and modernized technology systems, we’re preparing students and our region for what’s next.

As we celebrate what we’ve accomplished this past year, we’re also looking ahead. The College’s new Sarpy County Campus marks the next chapter in our story of growth and possibility. This summer, we broke ground on what will become the College’s fourth full-service campus — a place that will bring together advanced technology, workforce innovation, and student-focused design to create a hub for lifelong learning and community connection. It’s a project that embodies what “building momentum” truly means: Turning vision into opportunity for generations to come.

What makes MCC special isn’t just the programs or facilities. It’s the friends, partners and advocates — like you — who believe in what education can do. Since 1977, the MCC Foundation has been the bridge between those who want to make a difference and the students who benefit from it.

Thank you for being part of this incredible journey. Your belief in our mission continues to inspire our growth, enrich our students and strengthen our shared future. The momentum we’re building together is real, and with the Sarpy County Campus on the horizon, we’re just getting started.

Sincerely,

Karen Pesek
