BILTMORE PREPARATORY ACADEMY CONSTRUCTION UPDATES

Creighton School District is partnering with SPS+ Architects and McCarthy Building Co. to replace and modernize Biltmore Preparatory Academy.

This project will deliver a new, approximately 75,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art K–8 campus on the existing Phoenix site, purpose-built for the existing dual language Spanish emersion program.

Project Updates

Overall campuslayout and design is complete!

Design & Construction Teamsare actively working through Design Development documents to add plan details such as structural connections, floor plan layouts, exterior elevations and interior finishesselections (flooring, paint colors, ceiling types, etc.).

Campus and Community Impacts

The Biltmore Preparatory Academy Rebuild GroundbreakingCeremony was heldon May 13, 2026, bringing together students, staff, and community members to celebrate this excitingmilestone. Aurora Garcia, BPA studentrepresentative, didan outstandingjobfacilitating the ceremony, while a heartfelt performance by the first-grade students had the audience clapping andsmiling along. The event concluded with the official groundbreaking and photos to commemorate the beginning of this transformational projectfor the BPA community.

Construction Mobilization– The project team is coordinating closely with the City ofPhx and utility providers to finalize demosequencing, existing utility coordination, and site logistics details. Site mobilization occurred on May 26and demolition is set to begin the firstweek of June. More information to come.
