Selecting the correct KUBI System Size.

KUBI Dry Gloves System Size* - Important information please read: The KUBI Dry Glove Systems are available in four KUBI system sizes. It is important to understand the system size to ensure you have the correct product and/or accessories. The KUBI system size is the internal diameter of the smallest aluminium ring your hand will pass through (with your thumb tucked in, as shown). This is the alu ring on the glove side of the KUBI System (& NOT the cuff side).

90mm Diameter Glove Side Alu Ring.

This Glove Side aluminium ring will have an internal diameter of 70, 80, 90 or 100mm & this defines the KUBI system size you require. This system size will be required for future guidence for replacement Orings and spare parts.

KUBI Standard System The Standard System is designed to fit directly to your existing drysuit latex or silicone cuff seals, via an o-ring system. This means you can fix our dry glove system to your drysuit yourself and it can be used on any drysuit that has latex or silicone cuff seals, (or even zip seals). The Standard System is available in four system sizes (70, 80, 90 & 100mm) with five outer glove sizes (S,M,L,XL & XXL) and are supplied as a complete set. Not suitable for connecting on to neoprene cuff seals.

KUBI Dry Gloves Standard System Assembly Guidance. Cuff Seal on your Drysuit

3 Cuff Side l Turn Drysuit Sleeve inside out. l Pass inner Alu ring (A) down sleeve (large groove facing down sleeve). l Position Alu ring in the cuff seal leaving enough latex to turn alu ring back down the sleeve. l Hold Alu ring to cuff seal using Oring (4)- Cuff Side Fixing Oring. l Pull sleeve right way around. l Place outer Alu Ring cover (B) over sleeve and inner Alu ring. l Hold in place with Oring (2) - cuff side securing Oring. l Repeat on the other sleeve. The Cuff side Alu rings are now in place.

The RED sealing Orings and Cuff Side inner Alu ring will require lubrication before use, to clean and assist with putting together. We recommend the use of NarkOx oil as very little is required and it does not affect the Orings. If you do not lubricate, initial use will be very tight and the Dry Gloves may prove difficult to separate after use.

This system connects to the existing latex or silicone cuff seals of a drysuit. Outer Alu Cover (D) Oring (5) Oring (3)

Place Alu ring (C) inside latex glove. l Hold in place with Oring (1) - glove side fixing Oring. l Fold back excess latex of the glove over the Oring (1). l Place Alu ring cover (D) over the inner Alu ring. l Hold in place with Oring (5) - glove side securing Oring. l Fit RED sealing Oring (3) in remaining outer groove. l Repeat on other glove. l The Glove side is now complete. If you bought a Glove Side Set this would be pre fitted for you. When complete simply push the Cuff side and Glove Side together until the Red Oring can no longer be seen. Your Dry Gloves are sealed.

KUBI Fitted System Cuff Side Only Sets The KUBI Fitted System is designed specifically for Drysuit Manufacturers. These would then be glued/fitted in to a drysuit, during manufacture or alteration. We strongly recommend this is done by your drysuit manufacturer or their nominated agent. This system allows for an aesthetically pleasing system which enables the use of replaceable cuff seals (sold seperately). 3 Fitted Cuff Side l Alu Cuff Ring (A) is installed to your Drysuit by the suit manufacturer. This is recommended as alterations may be required to your suit.

l Connect Cuff Seal to Inner Cuff Ring (B) with Oring (1). l Install Red Sealing Oring (2) to the centre groove of Inner Cuff Ring (B). l Clean and Lubricate both Oring (2) and the inner suface of Alu Cuff Ring (A). l Position Inner Cuff Ring (B) into the Drysuit sleeve and Alu Cuff Ring (A). l Ensure that the empty groove is fully exposed when correctly in place. l Hold in place with Oring (3) - Fitted Cuff side securing Oring. l Repeat on other sleeve. The Cuff side Alu rings are now in place.

KUBI Replacement O-Ring Sets “Do KUBI Drygloves require maintenence?” KUBI Dry Glove systems do need regular checks like all diving equipment. l Check all Alu rings are clear of dirt & debris. l Check your O-rings are in suitable condition & replace them as required. l Lubricate sealing O-rings lightly, to ensure ease of use as required. l Replace KUBI Reflex labels if yours become damaged. l Remember Black O-rings are holding parts in place and the Red O-rings are the seals.

KUBI FAQ’s

Below are a few of the questions we are asked on a regular basis, which we hope assist. Will KUBI Dry Gloves work with my Drysuit? If your existing drysuit has latex or silicon cuff seals, then you can simply fit yourself the KUBI Standard System. If you require a permanently installed system (KUBI Fitted System) discuss the alterations required with your drysuit manufacturer. If your drysuit currently has a permanently installed system already, then this would have to be removed, before using KUBI. If you are purchasing a new drysuit, consider discussing the KUBI Fitted System with your drysuit manufacturer.

Will KUBI Dry Gloves connect to Neoprene cuff seals? The KUBI Standard Dry Glove System will not seal directly onto neoprene cuff seals. There are two options available for the use of neoprene cuff seals & KUBI 1) Consider asking your drysuit manufacturer to install the KUBI Fitted system. 2) Consider the use of a Latex Overseal (see video on our website).

What is the difference between KUBI Standard and Fitted ranges? KUBI Dry Glove Systems are available in two systems: KUBI Standard range is designed to fit to the exisitng latex or silicone cuff seals of your drysuit. KUBI Fitted system is designed to be installed permanently into your drysuit (which we recommend is done by your drysuit manufacturer) The Glove side of the system is the same for both systems.

Do KUBI Drygloves require maintenence? KUBI Dry Glove Systems, do need regular checks, like all diving equipment. * Check all alu rings are clear of dirt & debris. * Check your orings are in suitable condition & replace them as required. * Lubricate sealing orings lightly, to ensure ease of use as required. * Replace KUBI Reflex labels if your become damaged. * Regularly check & replace all orings as required. (Remember - black orings are holding parts in place & the red orings are the seals)

How can I check what size my KUBI System is? KUBI Dry Glove Systems are sized using the smallest aluminium ring, which your hand will fit through. This is the alu ring on the GLOVE Side. Measure your hand passing through a hole the size of this alu ring (70, 80, 90 or 100mm) Visit our dealers and try the size chart to get the correct size for you.

What size KUBI System do I need?

Do KUBI Sealing O-Rings need any lubrication? We provide info with all KUBI Dry Gloves & O-Rings sets, advising that we recommend the careful lubrication of the sealing orings. Especially when new, orings are dry & not compressed, so this is when lubrications is specifically required to prevent them feeling tight. Please check the inside of the alu-ring (cuff side) to remove all dirt & debris, before use. We recommend the use of the NARX-OX oil we can provide, as this requires very little & will not affect with the orings, in any way. We do not recommend the use of silicone based lubricants, as this can be absorbed by orings, causing issues.

Will KUBI Dry Gloves work with my SANTI Smart Seals or DUI Zip Seals? Yes - you can use the KUBI Standard System to connect to the latex cuff zip seals of your DUI system. The KUBI system is only fitting to the latex cuff seal and not to the suit itself.
