I believed in one simple truth: when a community gathers around a story, we change—together. Over the last few years, we’ve grown from a handful of productions to a bustling slate of performances, concerts, classes, and youth programs. That growth hasn’t been accidental; it’s been powered by you—our audience, artists, educators, volunteers, partners, and the City of Mauldin showing up, lending your voice, and daring to imagine what theatre in this space can be.
This season, you’ll see that spirit on full display. We’re stretching artistically, investing in new talent, and deepening our commitment to accessibility and education. From bold mainstage titles to opportunities for young performers, every moment on our stage is designed to spark connection between neighbors, across generations, and within ourselves.
SEP 2019 • 7PM
None of this happens without an extraordinary network of people. To our creative teams and crews who build worlds from scratch, our performers who pour their hearts into the work, our staff and volunteers who make the magic run, and our sponsors and donors who fuel the mission thank you. And to you, seated here tonight: your presence matters. You complete the story.
Here’s to a year of brave storytelling, generous community, and the kind of nights that linger long after the curtain falls. I’m honored to share this season with you.
Kristofer Parker
See you after the show, Kristofer Parker Theatre Director

You may know Braylen from previous roles such as Angel (RENT at MTC), Ritchie (A Chorus Line at Greenville Theatre), Kevin G. (Mean Girls Jr. at MTC), and Mike (A Chorus Line at MTC), to name a few. Performing is his passion, whether that’s dancing, modeling, or film acting, and he encourages everyone to put themselves out there even when it’s the scariest and to continue to be their most authentic self because someone will love that. He would like to thank Kristofer Parker for giving him this opportunity and trusting him with this position, as well as the Schendal Family for their love and support

Notable messes include: writer, director, & performance artist (The Poet & The Juggler); costume designer (Upstate Shakespeare Festival, Vagabond Shakespeare, Mauldin Cultural Center); poet, artist, & anthology editor (Game Over Books, Shoji Press). Children's Theater ,Carolina Ballet Theatre, Ballet Spartanburg, South Carolina Governors School and Mauldin Theatre Co.

Jonah “Willow” Collins - Puppet Designer
Jonah "Willow" Collins is dedicated to creating art that expresses truth in a way irreplicable by any other medium than theatre. They have crafted a myriad of works according to their training at the Accademia dell’Arte and Coastal Carolina University, which gave them a grounded understanding of their craft and their character. Willow is inspired by alterity, relationship, and the pursuit of unanswerable questions, but inspiration is unreliable. Discovery is rooted in the open acceptance of creative ideas, and Willow believes strongly in the power of listening. Special thanks to my loving fiancé and wonderful kid for endless artistic inspiration and collaboration.
