ARTLab Maui

A creative summer experience designed to inspire. ARTLab Maui’s thoughtfully curated art camps invite young artists to explore, experiment, and express themselves in a vibrant, professional studio setting. Each week introduces a fresh, playful theme, guiding students through engaging mixed-media projects that build skills, confidence, and a deeper connection to the creative process—all led by a credentialed art educator with over 25 years of teaching experience. Camp themes include Doodle Zoo, Bubblicious, Noodle Ninjas, Glow Up!, Shaka Squad, Sugar Rush, and GearHeads. Families can choose morning or afternoon sessions, or the VIP full-day experience. Craftable Club

Level up your child’s creativity this summer with Craftable Club’s hands-on camps! Designed for curious minds and creative builders, our camps blend technology, imagination, and teamwork in a fun, supportive environment. Friends & Faire

Keiki Crafternoon Camp is back for a fun-filled summer edition at FRIENDS & FAIRE! Designed for kids ages 6–11, this hands-on camp invites keiki to explore creativity through a variety of island-inspired projects. Each day features multiple crafts—from fairy gardens and mini worlds to painting, tie dye, and playful mixed-media creations—so no two days are the same. In a warm, welcoming space, keiki are encouraged to express themselves, try new materials, and build confidence through creativity. All supplies are included, and campers take home everything they make. Whether your child loves crafting or is just beginning to explore their artistic side, Keiki Crafternoon Camp is a joyful space to create, play, and connect. Maui School for Strings

Experienced instructor Uncle Roy leads violin and cello camps, perfect for beginners. 3-day sessions (9 total hours) provide all the supplies and instruction for students to learn proper techniques. Students can bring their own instruments, as long as they are the proper size and in working condition. Class size is limited to 12 students per violin session and 6 students for cello session, so don't miss this exciting opportunity to learn a new instrument and have fun in the process!

Young Artmakers

Maui Arts & Cultural Center brings back its popular Young Artmakers visual arts education program, taking place this summer at Schaefer International Gallery. Led by teaching artists and gallery staff, the program will provide young artists an opportunity to meet and make new friends while enhancing and exercising their creative skills. Class offerings include hands-on workshops for elementary, middle, and high school students in media ranging from printmaking to papermaking and sculpting. Each session will meet for four consecutive classes (Tuesday – Friday, for three hours) over the course of a week. Yulia Maui Art Summer Art Camp offers a fun and creative environment where young artists can explore a variety of artistic techniques and materials. Hawai‘i Nature Center

Hawai‘i Nature Center’s popular outdoor Nature Adventure Camp returns this summer for six weeks of camp in partnership with Keālia Pond National Wildlife Refuge and Maui Nui Botanical Gardens. Enrollment is now open for this hands-on, outdoor program for keiki, ages 6 to 11, with an immersive experience that promotes environmental stewardship and a love for nature. The outdoor nature camp is devoted to connecting students to nature through the study of Hawai‘i’s natural environments and builds skills in earth science, enhanced vocabulary and art. Launched in 1991, the Maui division of Hawai‘i Nature Center once included an ‘Īao Valley Center for place-based learning. Since then, the nonprofit has reimagined its program to bring students to a variety of sites across Maui that will serve as outdoor learning laboratories for optimal study.

Kama‘aina Kids

At Kama‘aina Kids, children will have the opportunity to build friendships, learn new skills, and create memories that will last a lifetime! Our program this year, Camp Kama‘aina Kids, is built around hands-on, enriching activities focusing on the world around us. Each week will include a variety of experiences—both on-site and off-site—which are planned by our staff and aimed at strengthening each child’s social emotional learning through hands-on and collaborative engagements. Each week is designed to provide a basis for introducing new concepts to our students, in a safe and cooperative environment.

Maui Hero Project

In a time of rapid AI-driven change—impacting connection and increasing anxiety—this fun adventure-based program helps youth deeply reconnect with themselves and others, adapt, and grow stronger. Led by 27-year master's-level adventure therapist Loren Lapow, MSW, the Maui Hero Project is a small-group adventure camp that builds confidence, resilience, and real-world skills and has served 1,000s of Maui youth. Guided adventures include hiking, kayaking, waterfalls, ocean jumps, snorkeling, and catchand-cook spearfishing, archery, and deer butchering. Integrated throughout are FEMA, junior first responder skills, including disaster preparedness, search and rescue, CPR/first aid, lifeguarding, fire-making and suppression, and wilderness survival. The structured, phone-free environment helps youth unplug, face meaningful challenges, and leave with practical skills and confidence to navigate an uncertain world. Maui Huliau Foundation

Maui Huliau Foundation offers multiple ‘āina-based summer programs for Maui youth ages 12–18 in partnership with community organizations:

Huaka‘i i Waihe‘e– (June 10-11) is a two-day overnight camping program exploring the Waihe‘e ahupua‘a from mountain to sea, with hands-on learning alongside cultural practitioners and environmental stewards in coastal protection, native and invasive species, mo‘olelo and oli, and night sky observation.

Huliau’s Careers in Conservation– (June 22-24th) summer program offers a 3-day exploration of ‘āina and kai-based careers, featuring hands-on activities alongside Maui professionals in marine conservation and native species protection, including an introductory scuba experience.

EcoAdventure– (July) for grades 7–9 visits multiple sites and community organizations across the Kula district, from Upcountry Maui to Kīhei, with activities including coastal cleanups, swimming, and working in native forests.

Pacific Whale Foundation

Ocean Camp–Ages: Entering 2nd-5th grade. Learn about the ocean & ‘āina through hands-on science lessons, team-building games, fun crafts, and daily nature-based field trips. Each week includes interactive nature-focused field trips, including snorkel trips on PacWhale Eco-Adventure vessels and adventures with local community and conservation partners. We focus on empowering our keiki to care for the environment around them. • Cost: $370-670. Scholarships available Ocean Camp: A Deeper Dive–Ages: Entering 6-8th grade. Experience leveled-up science lessons and exploration. We will dive deeper into science, conservation, and solutions to environmental issues of today. Pono Grown Farm & Nature Camp

Our outdoor program weaves the skills of nature connection into fun daily activities such as scavenger hunts, obstacle courses, art & craft projects, gentle gardening, experiential learning games, on-farm exploration, introduction to navigation, shelter building, and other wilderness skills, mindfulness moments to engage all the senses, and water play. Kids adore romping around the 15-acre farm just above Makawao, and often don't even realize they are learning along the way.

Pono Outdoor Program

Want your keiki immersed in nature this summer? Join our 4-week PEA Summer Program where children spend their days hiking, foraging, swimming, and building a deep connection to the ‘āina. Our program is nomadic, meaning each day takes place in a new location. Keiki will explore a variety of ecological zones across the island, creating a rich, diverse, and adventurous learning experience. Just drop them off in the morning and pick them up at 2 pm—our experienced teachers will take care of the rest. Bring lunch (in reusable containers), water bottle, extra clothes, towel & swimwear.

Hawaii Technology Academy

Registration for HTA’s 2026 Virtual Summer School program is open to all Hawai‘i resident students in Grades 9-12. High school students, catch up on classes or explore new interests this summer. HTA’s virtual summer school is a five-day-a-week program. On some days, students meet online with their teacher and peers; on other days, they log on for independent assignments. HTA is a leader in virtual education, and our teachers know how to keep classes engaging and relevant. Courses are offered for both credit recovery and credit advancement. They include math, history, P.E., and health. Or dive into fun elective courses with digital photography, drawing and painting, or financial literacy.

Our weekly themes include sensory and science, Hawaii nature, music and dance, and dinosaurs to name a few. Each week includes a gymnastics class with Maui Tumblers! Crafts, movement, music, books, and plenty of free play will fill your preschoolers' summer days!

Maui Christian Academy

Grow in your faith at our three-night Christian youth camp, crafts, skits, games, beach, and Bible study on the campus of Maui Christian Academy in Pā‘ia.

Seabury Hall

Seabury Hall Summer Camp (formerly Summer at Seabury) is back with a new format and exciting options for students who want to have an unforgettable summer! Students may choose from Day or Specialty Camps, each designed to provide engaging, age-appropriate experiences. Day Camps (Grades 1-6) include: academic enrichment, sports and team activities, performing and visual arts, and language and cultural studies. Speciality Camps (Grades 3-12) include: sport-specific training, fitness, dance and culture, technology and engineering, arts and crafts. This year's program will run from June 1-26, 2026, and will feature a new format of four, one-week sessions. Each session will be filled with an exciting mix of enrichment courses, athletics, arts, and hands-on experiences thoughtfully designed for students of all ages.
