OUTLINE BRIEF AND REQUEST FOR FEE PROPOSAL, CONCEPT DESIGN SERVICES – PREFABRICATED ‘REMOTE HOUSING’ DESIGN, TRANSPORT AND ASSEMBLY CONCEPT
Thank you for our recent discussions regarding our intent to initiate a Flat Pack, Remote Housing Construction Company, selling unique Housing products directly to Regional Communities and Land Owners in Far North Queensland and possibly beyond. We are pleased to understand that you have good experience and a good track record in the design, fabrication and shipment logistics for such a business model. We provide here, for your information, an outline Brief for an Example Design for a Housing Module, a brief outline of Design Compliance Criteria, and an approximate Scope and Timeline for an 8 week design Programme, to allow us to obtain a ‘Proof of Concept’ Design for the Product based on our specific Criteria. Design Criteria Delivery We expect to utilise a flatbed truck with on board lifting gantry crane, that can deliver the Product into very remote locations. This Truck can be identified as part of the Design Phase, however an indicative example is shown at left, and link to the Truck Description as per below. This may change, as we agree the most appropriate design module and tonnage. https://lvtruckcranes.com.au/product/ferrari-truck-crane-7261c/ We expect that House Modules will be constructed in locations that will be at times very remote, but reasonably clear of debris and obstruction at the building site (at least, at time of arrival of the House Module), such that the Truck can drive to and park immediately adjacent the designated Building Site. For this reason, we prefer a non-articulated Truck as per the example shown at left, such that the Truck is more capable of traversing uneven ground to reach the designated Construction Site.
