We are fully accredited through the Rocky Mountain Region of the Mountain Rescue Association, and one of the oldest search and rescue teams in the state. We respond to approximately 100 calls per year. One-third of those calls are spent searching for lost people, another third carrying out injured people, and the remaining calls are for technical rescue, mutual aid requests, and body recoveries. One-hundred percent of our organization is comprised of volunteers. We raise necessary funding through the solicitation of public donations and local and state grants. We promote mountain safety education by hosting several public events per year, as well as numerous school and other social group visits.
