In the News Coldwell Banker Mason Morse Focuses New Sponsorships on Skiing/Snowboarding In partnership with Aspen Skiing Company, Coldwell Banker Mason Morse continues to make commitments to support the skiing heritage that is part of the fabric of the Aspen community. CBMM is proud to be supporting the Aspen Winternational Women’s FIS World Cup as a Corporate Silver partner for 2014-2016 along with becoming Title Sponsor of the Town Race Series next season. In addition, CBMM will be supporting the Ski and Snowboard Schools of Aspen (SSSA) this season and beyond with a dedicated race lane on Aspen Mountain which will create a unique opportunity for SSSA instructors to hone their client’s skills. CBMM has hired a team of part-time and fulltime instructors from Aspen Skiing Company to manage the lane during operations. Beginning December 18th, the race lane will be open every Wednesday through Sunday. The hours of operation will be 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. CBMM plans to host several community promotions at the CBMM Tracks course throughout the season. “We don’t just sell the idea of living in Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley - we live it,” said Karim Souki, vice president of development at

Coldwell Banker Mason Morse to fund AVSC’s National Team Athletes Trying to compete on the world stage is hard enough without having to worry about making ends meet. Aspen Valley Ski & Snowboard Club members who have qualified for the U.S. Ski Team or U.S. Snowboard Team now have a new ally to help them cover some of the expenses incurred at this elite level. Coldwell Banker Mason Morse is committing $25,000 per year, for a minimum of three years, for AVSC to award to current and alumni athletes who are officially recognized on the U.S. Ski Team or U.S. Snowboard Team. “We have wanted to do this for years” said AVSC Executive Director Mark Cole. “But our priority has had to be scholarships for current

participants.” Cole went on to say that the idea was hatched by Karim Souki and Will Herndon of CBMM, who approached the club with the concept. With one dozen alumni athletes and another seven current Adaptive athletes competing on U.S. Teams, there will be high demand for the grants. During the program’s first year, each athlete that is selected will receive $2,500. Recipients will be chosen by AVSC based upon a combination of the athlete’s current connection with the club, the commitment of the athlete to give exposure and/or give back to AVSC, financial need and how he or she acts as a role model for AVSC’s core values of commitment, teamwork, integrity.
