Pipistrello was created in 1965 from a design project by Gae Aulenti for the Olivetti showroom in Paris. Produced by Martinelli Luce and still in the catalogue in different colours. For its 60th anniversary it is proposed in a new finish that enhances the purity of its lines. We have chosen, for the cone and the knob, a non-colour, matt white, discreet, soft, enveloping, evoking the atmosphere of a landscape covered by the silence of snow and inducing serenity and reflection. The satin white opal methacrylate of the diffuser and the satin inox steel of the telescope and ring enhance the new materiality.
Le Pipistrello a été créé en 1965 à partir d’un projet de Gae Aulenti pour la salle d’exposition Olivetti à Paris. Produit par Martinelli Luce, il figure toujours au catalogue dans différentes couleurs. Pour son 60ème anniversaire, il est proposé dans une nouvelle finition qui met en valeur la pureté de ses lignes. Nous avons choisi, pour le cône et la poignée, un blanc mat non coloré, discret, doux, enveloppant, évoquant l’atmosphère d’un paysage recouvert par le silence de la neige et incitant à la sérénité et à la réflexion. Le méthacrylate opale blanc satiné du diffuseur et l’acier satiné du télescope et de l’anneau renforcent la nouvelle matérialité.

For the 60th anniversary of the Pipistrello lamp, a version with a matt finish is offered. Metal cone and knob painted in matt white. Diffuser in white opal methacrylate with satin finish. Ring, telescope and base in satin-finish steel.
