Pipistrello was created in 1965 from a design project by
Gae Aulenti for the Olivetti showroom in Paris. Produced by
Martinelli Luce and still in the catalogue in different colours.
For its 60th anniversary it is proposed in a new finish that
enhances the purity of its lines. We have chosen, for the cone and
the knob, a non-colour, matt white, discreet, soft, enveloping,
evoking the atmosphere of a landscape covered by the silence
of snow and inducing serenity and reflection.
The satin white opal methacrylate of the diffuser and the satin
inox steel of the telescope and ring enhance the new materiality.
