THE BEAUTIFUL GAME TOOK THE WORLD STAGE IN DALLAS How soccer became the world’s most powerful sport, and how America is finally entering its golden age There are games that entertain, games that divide, games that sell tickets, and games that build empires. Then there is soccer, the only sport on earth capable of turning a city square, a luxury hotel lobby, a neighborhood bar, a private aviation terminal, a royal box, and a child’s street corner into extensions of the same global stadium. Known to most of the world simply as football, soccer is more than a sport. It is language, identity, religion, diplomacy, fashion, commerce, migration, music, and memory. It is Buenos Aires at midnight, Madrid after a Champions League final, Lagos during a penalty shootout, Mexico City beneath a sea of flags, and now, increasingly, Dallas, Miami, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Seattle, and Kansas City discovering what the rest of the world has always known: no sport moves the planet quite like soccer. The modern game was born in England in the 19th century, when different versions of football were played under different rules. In 1863, The Football Association established a single set of 13 laws, creating the foundation of association football, the origin of the word “soccer.” From those modest laws came the greatest global sporting phenomenon in history. Today, FIFA represents 211 member associations across six continents, more national associations than the United Nations has member states. FIFA’s landmark Big Count survey estimated 265 million football players worldwide, plus 5 million referees and officials, approximately 270 million people directly involved in the game at the time. Its audience is even larger. FIFA reported that nearly 1.5 billion people watched the 2022 World Cup Final between Argentina and France, while roughly 5 billion people engaged with the tournament across platforms and formats. Numbers for 2026 have not yet been released but they are of course expected to be much higher than four years ago.

28

What began as a working-class game has evolved into a global luxury economy. Soccer now lives as comfortably in couture as it does in concrete. The modern footballer is no longer only an athlete, but a cultural house: a fashion figure, a social-media empire, a sponsorship vehicle, a national ambassador, and often a global luxury icon. Clubs are no longer merely teams; they are lifestyle brands with international tours, private hospitality suites, architectural stadiums, digital memberships, documentary series, fashion collaborations, and global fan communities that stretch far beyond geography. For decades, America admired soccer from a distance. The game lived in parks, schools, suburbs, universities, immigrant neighborhoods, and youth leagues, but the center of American sports culture belonged elsewhere: the NFL, the NBA, Major League Baseball, college football, and March Madness.

Where is it heading? American football remains dominant, but soccer is gaining extraordinary ground with younger, more international, more digitally native audiences. Gallup reported in 2024 that 41% of U.S. adults named football as their favorite sport to watch, while 5% named soccer. Among adults ages 18–29, however, soccer rose to 8%, ahead of baseball in that younger group. YouGov reported in 2026 that 12% of Americans described themselves as avid soccer watchers, but among 18-to-34-year-olds, that figure climbed to 23%. This is the key: soccer is not yet America’s No. 1 sport overall, but it may be the sport best positioned for America’s next generation. It is younger, more multicultural, more global, and more connected to the luxury and entertainment economy than any traditional U.S. sport.

Participation is moving in the same direction. The Sports & Fitness Industry Association reported that U.S. outdoor soccer participation reached 16.8 million participants in 2025, an all-time high and a 15.8% increase from 2024. Indoor soccer reached 6.6 million participants, also a record. By May 2026, SFIA estimated that nearly 8% of Americans, approximately 24.9 million people, participated in indoor or outdoor soccer.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup accelerated that transformation at a scale America had never seen. The tournament became the largest in World Cup history: 48 teams, 16 more than in Qatar 2022, 104 matches, three host countries, and 16 host cities across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The United States alone hosted 78 of the 104 matches across 11 cities, turning the tournament into a coast-to-coast cultural and economic event.

Then came Lionel Messi

Dallas emerged as one of the defining stages of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, hosting a tournament-high nine matches, including a semifinal, and welcoming 631,843 spectators to Dallas Stadium in Arlington. With an average attendance exceeding 70,000 per match, North Texas experienced an extraordinary convergence of sport, culture, tourism, and international visibility. Although final numbers have not yet been released, it is estimated that the tournament generated between $1.5 billion and $2.1 billion in regional economic impact, while attracting as many as 100,000 visitors per match day.

When Messi joined Inter Miami in 2023, American soccer did not merely gain a player. It gained a gravitational force. Messi brought with him the aura of Barcelona, the mythology of Argentina, the romance of the World Cup, and the credibility of perhaps the greatest footballer of all time choosing to make the United States part of his final defining chapter. His influence was immediate and measurable. Nielsen reported that soccer’s popularity in North America grew 10.9% over five years, reaching more than 136 million fans, and identified Messi’s 2023 Inter Miami debut as a key driver. According to Reuters’ summary of the Nielsen report, Messi’s arrival helped produce a 173% spike in Leagues Cup viewership and a 97% increase in viewership for the 2025 MLS Cup, which Inter Miami won. The same report placed the United States as the world’s fourth-largest soccer fan base, with 62.5 million followers. Messi did what only the rarest athletes can do: he converted attention into cultural legitimacy. He made MLS appointment viewing. He made Inter Miami a global brand. He made American stadiums feel like international events. He made children in Dallas, Houston, Miami, Los Angeles, Chicago and New York see not only Premier League or Champions League stars on a screen, but the greatest player of his generation wearing a domestic club jersey. That matters because soccer’s American rise is not only about attendance. It is about aspiration.

As home to FIFA’s International Broadcast Center and the official Fan Festival at Fair Park, Dallas did far more than host the World Cup, it became one of its most important global stages. In the United States, television numbers reached historic territory. The numbers were not just a soccer statistic. It was an American sports statistic, placing soccer inside the national attention economy at a level once reserved for the country’s most powerful sporting properties. The 2030 FIFA World Cup will be hosted primarily by three countries: Spain, Portugal, and Morocco. In addition, to commemorate the World Cup’s 100th anniversary, three centenary matches, one in each country, will be played in Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay. The tournament will therefore involve six countries across three continents: Europe, Africa, and South America.

LUXCIORDallas.com

29

Tourism became one of the clearest expressions of that power. Ahead of the tournament, Tourism Economics projected that the United States would welcome 1.24 million international visitors for the World Cup, with 742,000 considered incremental trips that would not have happened otherwise. U.S. Travel Association research also found that international World Cup visitors expected to spend more than $5,000 per person, about 1.7 times more than a typical international trip to the United States. That is where the luxury opportunity became most relevant. World Cup travel was never only stadium travel. It was hotel suites, private dining, luxury retail, chauffeured transportation, designer boutiques, private aviation, nightlife, cultural experiences, art, wellness, beauty, real estate discovery, and high-level hospitality. For affluent international visitors, the match was often the centerpiece, but the city became the experience.

That is why soccer’s rise in the United States now feels different. It is no longer a niche passion imported by immigrants or sustained primarily by suburban youth leagues. It has become part of American urban identity, luxury marketing, sports media, youth culture, streaming behavior, and international relevance. The NFL may still own the American Sunday. The NBA may still dominate global basketball culture. Baseball may still hold its nostalgic claim on the American summer. But soccer owns the world, and in 2026, the United States was no longer watching from the outside. It hosted the world. It invested in the world. It was watched by the world. And through Messi, MLS, youth participation, record audiences, global tourism, and the largest World Cup ever staged, America learned that soccer is not just another sport competing for attention. It is the global game becoming an American obsession.

In that sense, the World Cup did more than bring soccer to Dallas-Fort Worth and America. It introduced our city to the world under the most emotionally charged circumstances imaginable.

THANK YOU, DALLAS! For Dallas, Houston, Miami, Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, and other YOU MADE IT MEMORABLE. . . AGAIN!

host markets, the tournament became a rare convergence of sport and destination branding. It was not only a showcase of stadium capacity, but of lifestyle identity: where to stay, where to dine, where to shop, where to celebrate, where to invest, and where global citizens might imagine themselves returning long after the final whistle. Culturally, its impact may prove even more enduring. In a fragmented world, soccer remains one of the few global rituals still capable of producing shared emotion. The World Cup brought together countries divided by language, religion, politics, economics, and history, and placed them under one drama, one ball, one clock, one possibility. Dallas stood among its prime stages, a city where global passion, cultural diversity, luxury hospitality, and international energy converged beneath the lights of the world’s game.

30

Dallas’s role in the tournament was also a reminder that world-class moments are never created by one city, institution, or leader alone. The North Texas FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee, Dallas Sports Commission, the cities of Dallas, Arlington and Fort Worth, Fair Park, Dallas Stadium, DART, Trinity Metro, regional airports, public safety agencies, corporate supporters, volunteers, and North Texas’ hospitality community transformed nine matches into an extraordinary regional experience. Together, they gave Dallas more than the tournament’s largest match schedule. They gave North Texas an enduring place in the memory of the world’s game.

MES SI

The Greatness of a Beautiful Soul Who Speaks the Language of the World Honoring a different and superior kind of luxury: Not the luxury of excess, but the luxury of character. Martin G. Frediani, Publisher There are athletes who become champions, and then there are rare figures who become something larger: symbols of excellence, humility, family, discipline, and grace. Lionel Messi belongs to that rare category. His numbers are almost impossible to comprehend: more than 900 senior career goals, eight Ballon d’Or awards, a FIFA World Cup, two Copa América titles, four UEFA Champions League trophies, and a career that has placed him among the greatest players in the history of all sports, and on the top three of soccer history, by most, considered number one. Yet what makes Messi truly extraordinary is not only what he has achieved, but how softly he has carried it.

That devotion to family is one of the most touching parts of Messi’s story. The world sees the captain, the champion, the genius in the number 10 shirt. But again and again, what seems to matter most to him is much simpler: his wife, his children, his home, his privacy, his peace. His move to Miami was widely understood not only as a sporting decision, but as a personal one, a way to continue playing while giving his family a more stable and private life after difficult years in Paris. In Miami, reports have described him not only as a global superstar, but as someone gradually finding ordinary moments again: local bakeries, family life, and brief, warm interactions with fans.

For more than two decades, Messi has lived under a level of global attention that would transform most men into distant icons. He has been celebrated in Barcelona, worshipped in Argentina, embraced in Miami, and admired across the world. When Argentina plays, the whole world watches, not because of the country, but because of Messi. Everyone expects something extraordinary to happen, and most times, it does. Still, his public image has remained remarkably simple: a quiet man, a devoted husband, a loving father, and a competitor whose greatness has never seemed dependent on arrogance. In a culture that often confuses noise with power, Messi’s strength has always been different. He does not need to announce himself. He lets the ball speak.

That is why Messi resonates beyond soccer. His career is not merely a lesson in talent; it is a lesson in restraint. He has been called the greatest by millions, yet he has never built his identity around self-proclamation. He has carried fame with a quiet dignity that feels increasingly rare. His humility is not theatrical. It does not appear designed for public approval. It feels natural, the humility of a man who knows what he can do, but also understands that gifts are meant to be honored, not paraded. There is also a tenderness to Messi’s public image. He is not the loudest leader, nor the most theatrical. His leadership is quieter, built on trust, loyalty, example, and emotional connection. Teammates have often treated him with a kind of affection that goes beyond respect. Fans do not simply admire him; they feel protective of him. Argentina’s love for Messi became especially powerful because his journey with the national team included heartbreak, criticism, perseverance, and finally redemption. When he lifted the World Cup in 2022, it was not only the triumph of a player. It was the emotional release of a man who had suffered, endured, and remained faithful to the dream.

Part of Messi’s beauty as a human being is the contrast between his genius and his temperament. On the field, he has produced moments that feel almost supernatural: impossible dribbles, delicate passes, goals from angles that seem to defy geometry and physics. Off the field, however, he appears grounded, private, and deeply attached to the ordinary rhythms of family life. His wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, has known him since childhood in Rosario, Argentina; they married in 2017 and have three sons, Thiago, Mateo, and Ciro. Despite the magnitude Messi’s virtues are also visible in the causes he has supported. Since of their fame, their family life has often been described around routine, school, 2010, he has served as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, using his platform to soccer activities, dinner, and structure, the kind of normalcy that says more about bring attention to children’s rights, including traveling to Haiti after the earthcharacter than luxury ever could.

Messi with his wife and chidren Thiago, Mateo, and Ciro. Celebrating time with his cridren in Dallas during the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Lionel and Antonella Messi.

Although Argentina relinquished its crown to Spain in the final in New York, one truth remains undeniable: Messi gave us the time of our lives right here in Dallas just as he has done for millions around the world for more than two decades.

quake to raise awareness for children affected by the disaster. That commitment aligns naturally with the image the world already sees: a man whose greatness is softened by compassion and whose legacy reaches beyond stadiums.

does not have to erase tenderness. A man can conquer the world and still return home as a husband and father, as a respectful, loving human being. A champion can stand above the sport and still appear grateful for the game.

For LUXCIOR, Messi represents a different and superior kind of luxury. Not the luxury of excess, but the luxury of character. The luxury of discipline. The luxury of being loved not only because one is brilliant, but because one remains human. In an age of performance, branding, controversy, and constant self-promotion, Messi has built one of the most magnificent careers in history while seeming, somehow, untouched by the vanity that often follows greatness.

Lionel Messi is one of the greatest players football has ever known. But perhaps his most beautiful achievement is this: after all the goals, trophies, records, stadiums, and adoration, he still gives the impression of a man who has not forgotten where he came from, who he loves, or what truly matters. If you pay attention, almost every single time he scores a goal on a tournament, the first thing Messi does is look up to heaven, pointing upward in a gesture of respect, gratitude, and acknowledgment, a quiet reminder that even one of the greatest talents in the world of sports can still bow before the God that makes his success possible. As Argentinian myself, and as a Christian, I respect that above all.

That is what makes Lionel Messi a true role model. He reminds us that greatness does not have to be loud. Power does not have to be aggressive. Fame

The Storm Wears Pagani Marcel Stefano, Auto, Jet & Yacht Editor The Pagani Huayra 70 Derecho is a bespoke, few-off storm on wheels created by Pagani’s Grandi Complicazioni division. Revealed as the second of three exclusive Huayra 70 models, it celebrates the 70th birthday of company founder Horacio Pagani. At its heart is a 5,980 cc, 60-degree twin-turbocharged V12 developed exclusively for Pagani by Mercedes-AMG. The formidable powerplant produces 864 hp at 6,000 rpm and delivers 1,100 Nm of torque from 2,800 to 5,900 rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a transverse seven-speed manual gearbox engineered by Xtrac for Pagani, supported

34

by an electromechanical self-locking differential. Its maximum speed is electronically limited to 350 km/h—or 217.5 mph. The Derecho is constructed around an advanced central monocoque made from Pagani’s Carbon-Titanium HP62 G2 and Carbo-Triax HP62 composite materials, complemented by front and rear subframes in chromiummolybdenum steel and lightweight carbon-fiber bodywork. Its independent double-wishbone suspension features upper rocker arms, helical springs, and electronically adjustable, interconnected shock absorbers engineered to deliver exceptional precision and control.

Horacio Pagani

Stopping power comes from four ventilated Brembo carbon-ceramic discs measuring 398 mm at the front and 380 mm at the rear. The car rides on specially selected Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires—265/30 R20 at the front and imposing 355/25 R21 at the rear, providing the mechanical grip required to harness its extraordinary performance.

Its exclusive Pearl Orange and Blue exposed-carbon livery draws inspiration from the force, speed, and precision of a derecho storm. Pricing has not been officially announced, but as an extensively personalized Pagani commission, its value is estimated to fall between $5 million and $9.5 million, depending on the scope of customization.

THE HOUSE of Winter Scents Ramier Dorsett, Fashion & Lifestyle Editor

Perfume has always been one of the most intimate expressions of beauty and elegance. For a lady, it becomes far more than a fragrance; it is a distinctive part of her image, her presence, and the impression she leaves behind. The right scent speaks softly, yet powerfully, completing her style with refinement, sensuality, and unforgettable character. Fall and winter call for fragrances with substance — scents that feel dressed, intimate, and unforgettable. This is the season of amber, oud, cognac, spice, woods, and golden warmth; perfumes that do not simply accompany an outfit, but complete the entire presence. ROJA Amber Aoud Parfum opens the collection with unapologetic opulence. Rich rose, fig, saffron, cinnamon, oud, benzoin, woods, ambergris, and musk create a fragrance that feels regal, sensual,

and deeply luxurious, the kind of scent that enters the room before a word is spoken. Maison Francis Kurkdjian Grand Soir offers a more luminous interpretation of evening elegance, blending labdanum, cinnamon leaf, benzoin, and amber-vanilla into a smooth golden warmth that feels formal, refined, and timeless. KILIAN Paris Angels’ Share brings the indulgent side of the season, with cognac, oak, cinnamon, tonka, praline, sandalwood, and vanilla creating the atmosphere of a crystal glass by the fire. Together, these three perfumes define the colder months with extraordinary character. One is royal, one is elegant, and one is deliciously intoxicating — a perfect wardrobe of winter fragrance for those who understand that luxury is often felt before it is seen.

ROJA Amber Aoud Parfum ROJA Amber Aoud is a fragrance of absolute opulence, created for those who understand perfume as an invisible jewel. Its blend of oud, rose, amber, spices, and Oriental sweetness envelops the skin with a rich, sophisticated, and deeply seductive presence. It is the kind of scent that does not accompany an entrance, it announces it.

68

The God Martin G. Frediani

The Bible -our unparalleled Manual for Life- contains a treasury of wisdom so profound that the greatest minds in history have drawn from it for centuries. And still today, perhaps more than ever, its truths continue to illuminate, elevate, and transform. Among its most extraordinary teachings are those delivered directly by Jesus Christ: God in human form, Creator of all things visible and invisible, the source of all power, all wisdom, and all possibility. For thirty–three and a half years, humanity had the indescribable privilege of seeing Him walk among us.

And Jesus simply replied: “Come.” With that single word, the supernatural became reality. Peter stepped out of the boat and, defying every law of physics. He walked on the water toward Jesus. It wasn’t a metaphor. It wasn’t symbolism. It was a miracle in motion.

Many of His greatest lessons were not spoken, they were demonstrated. Miracles served as living parables, manifestations of divine authority over the very laws of nature He Himself created. As Scripture boldly declares: “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh; is anything too hard for Me?” - Jeremiah 32:27

But for a moment, Peter shifted his focus. Proud of what he was accomplishing, he turned around to look at his friends. That instant of distraction was all it was needed for him to lose sight of Jesus; he felt the wind, saw the waves, heard the fear of his companions. His attention left Jesus for a split moment… and he began to sink.

Among these supernatural moments, few are as evocative or rich in meaning as the night Jesus walked upon the waters of the Lake of Gennesaret. You can read the story in Matthew 14:22-33:

Desperate, he cried: “Lord, save me!” And instantly -without hesitationJesus reached out, lifted him, and spoke the gentle correction of a loving Father: “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”

“After feeding thousands, Jesus instructed His disciples to sail ahead to the other side of the vast lake while He dismissed the crowd. Then He ascended a mountain to pray alone. Night fell. Far from shore, the disciples’ boat battled fierce winds and relentless waves. Between three and six in the morning, the darkest hours before dawn, something extraordinary happened.

When they entered the boat, the wind ceased. And the disciples, overwhelmed, worshiped Him, saying: “Truly You are the Son of God.”

Jesus came to them walking on the sea. Terrified, thinking they saw a ghost, the disciples cried out. But Jesus spoke with the calm authority that dissolves all fear: “Take courage. It is I. Do not be afraid.”

This scene is not merely history. It is a blueprint for every human life. Peter walked on the water as long as he kept his eyes fixed on Jesus. When he looked at the storm, the fear took over. That famous fear that controls the emotions and thinking process of most of humnanity. When he looked at Jesus, the impossible obeyed him.

This miracle alone revealed divine power. But what happened next revealed the divine combination of power and heart.

We are no different. There are moments when what we desire or what we need is humanly impossible. No strategy, no effort, no discipline, no medicine, do theraphy, no fortune, can produce it. It requires intervention beyond the natural.

Peter -bold, passionate, beautifully human as always- made an audacious request: “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.”

Yet miracles still happen. But they follow a pattern, clear, simple, eternal. And this is celestial. Amazing. Heavenly. Beautiful:

70

STYLE

“Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?” - Jeremiah 32:27 “For with God nothing will be impossible.” - Luke 1:37 “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” - Matthew 19:26 “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.”- Mark 10:27

OF THE IMPOSSIBLE

THE THREE KEYS TO THE IMPOSSIBLE 1. Ask “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” - Matthew 7:7–8 God does not resent bold prayers. He encourages them.

2. Believe without hesitation “But let him ask in faith, with no doubting… for the one who doubts should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.” - James 1:6–8 Faith is not wishful thinking. It is certainty before the miracle appears. This is the most difficult of the three. How can you believe? You can’t.

Here you also need to ask, like the father of a demon-possessed did: “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” He was not doubting Jesus’ power, he was admitting the weakness of his own faith and asking Jesus to strengthen it. And of course, Jesus did.

3. Keep your eyes on Jesus “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.” - Hebrews 12:2 Your focus determines your outcome. Look at the storm and you sink. Look at Jesus and you rise above it into the supernatural. Everything, absolutely everything, is possible with Him. And the moment you dare to step out of the boat, fix your gaze on the One who governs the winds and the waves… the impossible becomes your new reality.

The

Chama Gaúcha

Experience A Brazilian Symphony of Fire, Flavor, and Elegance

I

In a city as sophisticated as Dallas that understands indulgence, few dining experiences capture the essence of refined abundance quite like Chama Gaúcha Brazilian Steakhouse. From the moment you arrive, there is a quiet understanding that this is not simply dinner, it is a celebration, and an immersion into the rich culinary heritage of Southern Brazil. Having reviewed hundreds of dining styles, I am not easily impressed. This is one of the few exceptions.

72

LUXCIORDallas.com LUXCIOR.com

73

The experience begins not with the meats, but with a prelude that sets the tone: an expansive gourmet salad bar that rivals the main event itself. Beautifully arranged and impeccably fresh, it offers a sophisticated selection of imported cheeses, delicate charcuterie, crisp seasonal vegetables, and thoughtfully prepared sides. Each element feels curated rather than assembled, inviting guests to savor each bite rather than rush toward what lies ahead. And yet, what lies ahead is nothing short of extraordinary. The signature of Chama Gaúcha is its continuous tableside service of expertly grilled meats, carved directly onto your plate by skilled gaucho chefs. Each cut arrives with pride from the perfectly seasoned picanha, with its tender center and caramelized fat cap, to the succulent filet mignon, lamb chops, and ribeye, each prepared over an open flame to achieve a depth of flavor that is both primal and refined. The rhythm of service is seamless: attentive without intrusion, generous without excess. Complementing this culinary spectacle is a thoughtfully curated beverage program that elevates the entire experience. The wine list is both expansive and discerning, featuring celebrated Old World labels alongside bold New World selections, each chosen to pair beautifully with the richness of the meats.

74

The ambiance mirrors the cuisine: elegant yet welcoming. Rich wood tones, soft lighting, and a sense of understated luxury create an environment that feels equally suited for an intimate dinner or a celebratory evening. Conversations flow easily, laughter lingers, and time seems to stretch just a little longer than expected. And just when the experience feels complete, dessert offers a final, indulgent crescendo. From classic Brazilian favorites to decadent, European-inspired confections, the dessert selection is as thoughtfully executed as the courses before it. Rich, velvety textures, balanced sweetness, and elegant presentation provide a satisfying and memorable conclusion, often best enjoyed alongside a finely crafted espresso or after-dinner drink. But perhaps the most defining element of Chama Gaúcha is its service. There is an attentiveness here that feels intuitive rather than rehearsed, staff anticipate needs, remember preferences, and guide the experience with a level of professionalism that elevates the entire evening. It is hospitality in its purest form. Dining at Chama Gaúcha is not about excess for its own sake; it is about abundance done with intention, craftsmanship, and grace. It is a reminder that when tradition meets precision, the result is not just a meal, but an experience worth savoring long after the last course is served. One closing word of warning: This can get addictive.

The cocktail offerings are equally refined, from expertly balanced classics to Brazilian-inspired creations that add a vibrant, refreshing counterpoint to the meal. Whether you begin with a crisp white, transition to a robust red, or indulge in a signature cocktail, each sip feels intentional and perfectly placed within the progression of the evening. What elevates the experience further is the balance, each offering is as intentional as the next. The meats are complemented by warm pão de queijo, creamy mashed potatoes, and caramelized bananas that add a subtle sweetness to the richness of the meal. It is a choreography of flavors designed to unfold gradually, never overwhelming, always inviting.

Kelly Hrad 76

Kelly Steller Hrad is a contemporary abstract artist whose work is rooted in emotion, memory, and the layered beauty of real life. Known for her textured, vibrant paintings created primarily with palette knives, she calls herself a “reflectionist” an artist who processes life through color, movement, and the physical act of painting. Her work is deeply personal yet widely relatable, often described as visual jour-naling that invites connection. Originally from New Mexico, Kelly draws lifelong inspiration from vast western landscapes, childhood road trips, and spontaneous stops at museums, backroads, and ever-changing skies. Her intuitive, feeling-driven process is shaped by lived experience, emotional memory, and the quiet rhythm of 1970s music playing in the background. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is held in private and corporate collections worldwide. She lives and works in Texas, creating full-time from her home studio. When not painting, she finds quiet retreat in her office, the Pink Palace, accompanied by her loyal Yorkie muse.

The Reflective

brilliance of Kelly Steller Hrad

Kelly Steller Hrad, a renowned contemporary reflectionist in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, creates works that function as emotional maps—textured surfaces built with palette knives, rich layers of color, and movements that narrate what words cannot express. Her artistic voice, shaped by her New Mexico roots, retains the stillness of the desert, the memory of open horizons, and the visual poetry of Western landscapes, even as it unfolds through a modern, vibrant abstraction. In her Texas studio, accompanied by ’70s music and an intuitive creative rhythm, she blends oils, acrylics, and mixed media to produce dimensional pieces that are both meditative and deeply human.

With a career that spans national and international reach, Hrad has presented numerous solo exhibitions, been selected for juried shows across multiple states, and completed commissions for luxury and corporate spaces including Louis Vuitton in Plano and Lamborghini in Italy. Her work, found in private collections and high-end environments alike, is grounded in a clear philosophy: art as a mirror of human experience. Hrad does not paint to impress, but to connect; which is why her canvases invite introspection and emotional recognition, solidifying her as a luminous and authentic figure within the Texas art landscape and beyond. Dallas The Heart of Texan Luxury By Ramier Dorsett

80

In contrast to many of the South’s largest cosmopolitan areas, Dallas has created a unique and well-polished identity. The city’s steady growth over the last century allows new residents to mature the city’s culture at a slower pace than is possible in cities that have experienced explosive growth within recent years. Consequently, Dallas’ long-standing history as the state’s premier center for trade and finance has attracted artisans, businesses and wealthy individuals from across the country, fostering a culture of refinement, excellence and formality unlike any other in the state. Dallas’ sophisticated yet vibrant atmosphere makes it the heart of Texas’ luxury scene.

The Rise of Dallas From its earliest days, trade and service have been the backbone of Dallas’s economy. Founded in November 1841 by John Neely Bryan on the east bank of the Trinity River at a natural ford, the settlement sat at the intersection of two major Native American trails, making it a prime trading post. As railroads and infrastructure expanded, the population surged from 678 in 1860 to over 10,000 by 1880, and Dallas emerged as the leading regional wholesaler. Its economic importance was cemented in 1914, when the city became headquarters of the Eleventh Federal Reserve District. By the early 20th century, Dallas’s cultural and luxury identity began to take shape, largely through the vision of Neiman Marcus. In 1907, Herbert Marcus, his sister Carrie Marcus Neiman, and her husband Abraham Lincoln Neiman founded the store to serve the city’s growing affluent class. From the outset, Neiman Marcus distinguished itself as a premier destination for highquality, fashion-forward clientele. By the late 1920s, the store pioneered weekly fashion shows, the first of their kind in American retail, bringing the excitement of couture directly to Dallas shoppers. In 1934, under Stanley Marcus’s leadership, Neiman Marcus became the first specialty retailer outside New York to advertise in national magazines such as Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, further elevating Dallas’s profile on the national stage.

In 1938, Stanley Marcus established the Neiman Marcus Fashion Award, formally the Neiman Marcus Award for Distinguished Service in the Field of Fashion. Unlike other awards of the era, it recognized not only American designers but also international figures, bringing global attention to Dallas. Over the years, the award, sometimes called the “Oscar of Fashion”, honored designers, journalists, and style icons alike, cementing Neiman Marcus’s reputation as both a cultural and commercial institution. Through these innovations, combined with Carrie Marcus Neiman’s discerning eye for fashion and Stanley Marcus’s visionary leadership, Neiman Marcus became more than a store: it became a cultural force, firmly establishing Dallas as a city of luxury, style, and international influence.

Contemporary Dallas Today, Dallas stands as a sophisticated, cosmopolitan powerhouse and one of America’s most dynamic financial hubs. The Dallas–Fort Worth metro area now ranks second only to New York in the number of people employed in finance. Leading institutions are making bold bets: JPMorgan Chase employs more people in Texas -many based in Dallas- than it does in New York, while Wells Fargo has erected a sprawling 850,000-square-foot campus in Las Colinas, housing some 4,500 employees in a $455 million investment. This robust financial presence has infused Dallas with a culture that celebrates both ambition and refinement. The city now boasts two Michelin-starred restaurants -Tatsu in Deep Ellum and Mamani in Uptown- joining a landscape of world-class dining, high-end shopping, and cultural landmarks. Affluent enclaves like Highland Park and University Park evoke the elegance and exclusivity of California’s most iconic luxury neighborhoods. With its combination of financial clout, sophisticated lifestyle, and cultural prestige, Dallas is not just growing, it is arriving, in style.

WYNN’S ARABIAN MIRAGE Al Marjan Island and the Rise of the Gulf’s Next Great Destination: Wynn’s newest development brings the spirit of the Strip

to the shores of the Arabian Gulf, not as imitation, but as reinvention. Along the Arabian Gulf, just under an hour from Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah is preparing for one of the most ambitious hospitality transformations in the region. At the center of this evolution is Wynn Al Marjan Island, a landmark integrated resort designed to bring a new level of luxury, entertainment, dining, retail, and destination appeal to the United Arab Emirates. Set on Al Marjan Island, a sculptural waterfront destination framed by white sand beaches, marina views, and the dramatic natural beauty of Ras Al Khaimah, the resort is expected to redefine the emirate’s global profile.

84

More than a hotel, Wynn Al Marjan Island represents a carefully orchestrated shift: from emerging coastal escape to international luxury destination. The project brings together the signature language of Wynn: refined hospitality, theatrical design, elevated cuisine, curated retail, nightlife, and resort living, with the growing ambition of Ras Al Khaimah as one of the Gulf’s most compelling tourism markets. The result is not simply another luxury opening, but a new anchor for high-end travel in the Middle East.

With more than 1,500 rooms and suites, private villa estates, a luxury shopping esplanade, expansive pools, a five-star spa, restaurants and lounges, entertainment venues, event spaces, marina access, and the UAE’s first licensed gaming component, Wynn Al Marjan Island is positioned to become one of the most watched Las Vegas-style resort debuts of 2027. Its significance extends beyond hospitality. The resort is expected to accelerate investment, real estate development, branded residences, culinary concepts, luxury retail, and international tourism throughout Ras Al Khaimah. For travelers who already know Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Monaco, Macau, and Las Vegas, this new destination introduces a different proposition: Gulf glamour with Wynn-level polish, set against a more intimate coastal canvas. What makes the project especially compelling is its timing. Luxury travel is no longer defined only by traditional capitals. Today’s affluent traveler is drawn to destinations that combine privacy, spectacle, design, access, and discovery. Ras Al Khaimah offers all of these, with Wynn Al Marjan Island serving as its defining statement. By 2027, the world will not only be watching the opening of a resort. It will be watching the arrival of a new luxury address in the Middle East.

SCENT OF SUCCESS: WHAT A GREAT WINE CAN TEACH YOU TO SUCCEED By Martin Curiman Lessons from Viña Cobos and Paul Hobbs for leaders who want to leave a legacy In the heart of Mendoza, Argentina, Viña Cobos not only produces exceptional wines; it is also a living example of how a clear vision, a solid strategy, and flawless execution can transform an idea into a global benchmark. Its founder, American winemaker Paul Hobbs, arrived in the region in 1988, captivated by its potential. There he identified a unique opportunity: to elevate Malbec to a level of excellence never before achieved. That same process applies to any business, regardless of industry. In viticulture, terroir is the combination of soil, climate, and culture that gives a wine its identity. In business, terroir represents the target market. Hobbs did not choose Mendoza by chance; he studied its soils, altitudes, and microclimates, detecting unmatched potential. In the corporate world, this is equivalent to conducting in-depth market research to find the space where a product or service can truly shine. In a vineyard, the grape variety defines the wine’s personality. Hobbs bet on Malbec when few considered it a luxury varietal. In business, this is the value proposition—the unique quality that sets a company apart. Choosing it requires bold decisions, often contrary to trends, but with the conviction that the distinctive element is both real and sustainable. A great wine depends on harvesting at the optimal time, neither too early nor too late. In business, timing is the ability to launch a product or project when the market is ready. Viña

90

Cobos took its time; its first labels reached the market only when quality and reputation were already established. Both winemaking and business demand attention to every detail. From vineyard to bottle, Viña Cobos maintains uncompromising standards. In management, this translates to guaranteeing consistent quality, efficient processes, and an outstanding customer experience, knowing that a single oversight can undermine years of work. Viña Cobos does not merely sell wine; it tells a story of passion, innovation, and respect for the land. Likewise, the most successful companies do not just sell products or services; they create experiences and foster emotional connections that endure over time. While Hobbs expanded product lines, explored new vineyards, and embraced modern technology, he never abandoned the essence that made the brand remarkable. Businesses that grow successfully maintain their identity while adapting to new challenges, balancing evolution with authenticity. The journey of Viña Cobos shows that a business, like a great wine, is built with patience, strategy, and a love for detail. It is about identifying the right market, offering a unique proposition, launching at the perfect time, protecting every stage of the process, and building a brand with soul. In business as in winemaking, the ultimate goal is not simply to produce, but to create experiences that endure long after the first encounter.

WHEN PRECISION

BECOMES A SPECTACLE Roger Dubuis may be a relatively young name in Swiss watchmaking, yet since its founding in 1995 it has emerged as one of the boldest and most distinctive maisons in haute horlogerie. Drawing upon the remarkable technical expertise of its founder -who spent over a decade at Patek Philippe mastering the art of precision- the brand has forged a reputation for uniting meticulous craftsmanship with an audacious, almost theatrical aesthetic. Rather than adhering to traditional codes, Roger Dubuis dares to reinvent them, redefining what modern haute horlogerie can be. The Excalibur collection has become its defining signature, with timepieces that are as much works of art as they are instruments of precision. A remarkable example is the Excalibur Knights of the Round Table The Enchanter Merlin, launched in 2025, where the maison recreates a medieval scene with twelve knights sculpted in gold, encircling an invisible crystal palace, all within the watch dial. This ability to conceive nearly sculptural pieces has earned Roger Dubuis admiration among collectors who seek rarity combined with technical mastery and creativity. Likewise, models such as the Excalibur Chronograph or the vibrant Blacklight Spin-

Stone Monobalancier embody a unique blend of contemporary design and mechanical virtuosity, keeping the brand at the forefront of innovation. At the heart of the maison lies a devotion to traditional métiers. From hand engraving and micro-sculpture to daring gem-setting techniques, every detail is executed with an artistic precision that transforms each watch into a singular statement. Many of its movements carry the prestigious Geneva Seal, a guarantee of accuracy and exceptional finishing, reaffirming Roger Dubuis position among the most exclusive names in fine watchmaking. What truly sets Roger Dubuis apart is its refusal to be discreet. While many watchmakers pride themselves on understatement, Dubuis thrives on extravagance, drama, and originality. Its creations are not designed to go unnoticed, but to serve as manifestos of creativity and technical excellence. In this way, the maison has carved out a space for those who view watchmaking not only as tradition, but as bold expression, making Roger Dubuis one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary haute horlogerie.

n the world of haute horlogerie, few maisons master mechanical poetry quite like Jaquet Droz. Its latest masterpiece, part of the brand’s emblematic line of automata, once again proves that time can be far more than a measure, it can be a spectacle. The piece pays tribute to the legacy of its founder, Pierre JaquetDroz, renowned in the 18th century for creating mechanisms capable of stirring emotion. Today, the maison carries that legacy forward with a dial that comes alive: moving birds, miniature landscapes meticulously handpainted, and a minute repeater whose chime transforms every moment into a sensory ritual. Crafted from noble materials, with finishes that merge traditional craftsmanship and contemporary precision, this timepiece is not merely worn, it is contemplated. It is a creation for collectors who revere art, technique, and exclusivity in their highest form.

94

Each component is assembled like a sculptural work of art. The complexity of its movement, the harmony of its automata, and the refinement of its decoration turn it into a living testament to watchmaking savoir-faire. It is a watch that demands time to be truly appreciated: every button, every sound, every animation reveals a different story, a scene that only attentive eyes can unravel. More than a device that measures hours, this timepiece invites us to pause, observe, and rediscover the magic of craftsmanship in an era dominated by immediacy. Its presence on the wrist is a silent statement of culture, taste, and a passion for grand mechanical traditions. Jaquet Droz once again confirms its place among the world’s most refined maisons, offering not a watch, but an experience: time transformed into luxury, detail, and emotion, a piece that not only marks minutes, but elevates each one to the realm of art.

TEXAS

PRIDE THE RACE FOR SUPREMACY From Sealy, Texas to the world stage, how John Hennessey turned raw American audacity into a global hypercar force. By Martin G. Frediani, publisher The 2025 Hennessey Venom F5 Evolution represents far more than another leap in hypercar engineering, it is the embodiment of Houston’s relentless spirit of innovation and ambition. For founder John Hennessey, what began more than three decades ago as a performance workshop has evolved into one of the most respected and daring automotive brands in the world.

Yet, beyond its numbers and records, the Venom F5 Evolution carries a distinctly Texan soul, a combination of boldness, craftsmanship, and authenticity. Every car is hand-assembled in Hennessey’s state-of-the-art facility by a team of artisans and engineers who share the founder’s philosophy: perfection is not a destination, but a continual process.

Based just outside Houston in Sealy, Texas, Hennessey Performance Engineering (HPE) has become a symbol of American ingenuity and precision. From the earliest twin-turbo conversions in the 1990s to the birth of the Venom GT and now the Venom F5, every creation reflects the same obsession that drives Hennessey himself: the pursuit of absolute speed.

For purists, the new Venom F5 M (Manual) Roadster offers something almost unheard of in today’s hypercar world, a six-speed manual transmission, connecting driver and machine in a raw, mechanical symphony of power and precision. It’s a love letter to true driving enthusiasts, reminding us that speed, when crafted with purpose, becomes art.

The Venom F5 Evolution marks the next chapter in that pursuit—an audacious attempt to break the 300-mph barrier and redefine what’s mechanically possible from a road car. Powered by the aptly named “Fury” 6.6-liter twin-turbo V8, the new Evolution delivers a staggering 2,031 horsepower and 1,445 lb-ft of torque when running on E85 fuel, an increase over its predecessor’s 1,817 hp. With a curb weight of roughly 3,000 pounds thanks to its ultralight carbon-fiber monocoque, it achieves a blistering 0–200 mph in just over ten seconds, an achievement that firmly places it among the world’s elite hypercars.

Today, Hennessey Special Vehicles stands as a testament to what Houston can create when vision meets precision. The Venom F5 Evolution isn’t merely a car, it’s a declaration that American engineering can rival, and even surpass, the legends of Europe.

102

In a world dominated by technology and automation, John Hennessey reminds us that passion, grit, and the courage to chase impossible dreams still define greatness. His story, and the machine that bears his name, make him not just a figure in hypercar history, but a symbol of Houston’s audacious excellence.

Exclusive one-on-one WITH JOHN HENNESSEY

R R

eceiving a direct email from John Hennessey himself requesting information to feature his brand “in your beautiful magazine” —as he graciously put it— was undeniably flattering. After all, here was an internationally celebrated legend in the world of hypercars reaching out personally. As he later shared with me, he first came across LUXCIOR while boarding his private jet at one of Houston’s airports where our magazine is distributed (for privacy reasons, I won’t reveal which FBO he was referring to). Still, it was gratifying to know that our distribution team is doing its job —and doing it well. Two weeks later, when I sat down with John Hennessey at his Sealy facility, what struck me first wasn’t the cars, it was the calm, deliberate focus of the man behind them. A clearly devoted family man and, to my satisfaction, an unapologetic Christian. John spoke openly about his faith with the same authenticity that defines his work. I immediately sensed I was in the presence of a humble, decent human being, one whose character stands in noticeable contrast to the fame surrounding his name.

104

There’s no flamboyance, no PR‑polished persona. Instead, there’s a confident determination that mirrors the precision of the machines bearing the Hennessey brand. John -I asked- what still drives you after more than 30 years at the top of your game? He smiled before answering, “Passion. That’s the short answer. I still wake up every day excited about making cars faster, better, and more thrilling. I’ve always believed that if you build something extraordinary, people will feel it. That’s never changed.” As we sat at his conference table, surrounded by rows of gleaming engines and carbon-fiber panels shimmering under the workshop lights, the air carried the faint scent of metal and ambition. It was the kind of place where power and precision coexist in perfect balance. I turned to him and asked how the Venom F5 Evolution fits into his personal vision. “Evolution represents everything we’ve learned” -he explained. “It’s lighter, sharper, and more refined. We call the

STYLE

engine ‘Fury’ for a reason. But we wanted more than raw power and speed; we wanted purity. That’s why the manual version exists. It’s about reconnecting the driver to the car in an age of automation.” I asked if the Texan identity people often associate with Hennessey Performance was intentional. He laughed softly. “It’s who we are. Texans dream big and work hard. We don’t wait for permission to build something world‑class. Every Venom we create carries that Texan DNA: courage, confidence, and pride. We’re not just competing with Europe; we’re defining what American performance means.” When I mentioned the rise of electric hypercars, John leaned forward, thoughtful but resolute: “Electric power is fine”

-he said-, “but emotion still matters. The sound, the feel, the connection, you can’t replace that with silence. The Venom F5 is our celebration of combustion.” I ended our talk by asking how he’d describe the Venom F5 in one sentence. Without hesitation, he replied, “It’s America’s statement to the world that we can build the fastest, most beautiful, and most emotional hypercars, right here in Texas.” Few stories embody Texas excellence quite like that of John Hennessey, a visionary who has placed our state on the global map of automotive greatness. Today, his name stands confidently beside the world’s most iconic hypercar brands, a symbol of ingenuity, courage, and the unstoppable drive that defines Houston and the Lone Star State.

GENTS STYLE

WHEN LUXURY BECOMES A LANGUAGE OF IDENTITY For decades, men’s jewelry was confined to the functional: a discreet watch, a wedding band, perhaps an inherited chain. Yet contemporary aesthetics have opened the door to a new narrative: jewelry is no longer just an accessory, it is a declaration of identity. Today, men embrace pieces such as gold bracelets, bold link chains, signet rings, and natural-stone necklaces as expressions of personality, heritage, and style. This shift comes from the intersection of high fashion, urban culture, and a growing desire for individuality. Athletes, artists, and cultural icons have played a crucial role in normalizing jewelry as an extension of masculine presence, something intentional, not ornamental. Brands Leading This Evolution. Cartier, the maison reinforces masculine elegance through precious metals and timeless forms, from subtle bangles to heavier cuffs, demonstrating that refinement does not require excess. Louis Vuitton has captured the rise of luxury men’s jewelry with collections that blend iconic symbols (like the LV monogram) with materials such as titanium and leather, aligning with the new urban-luxury lifestyle. Tateossian London, a contemporary alternative for men who want a refined yet relaxed expression, mixes stones, leather, and metal in pieces that feel personal and effortlessly stylish. Today, luxury is defined by intention: What does this piece say about me? More than shine or status, modern men’s jewelry speaks to authenticity, heritage, and meaning. And this is where bracelets have taken the spotlight: tactile, subtle, sophisticated, easy to integrate into daily movement and layered with watches, rings, or chains to form a quiet, powerful narrative. The revival of men’s jewelry is not a passing trend, it is a cultural evolution. A reminder that elegance has always been, and will always be, an act of self-expression. Cartier

The Ancient Art of Writing Perfected for the Digital Age

II

A masterpiece of Italian artistry, created not merely to be admired, but to be held and carried with every word.

n an age where thoughts travel at the speed of light and conversations vanish with a tap of a screen, there remains something profoundly meaningful about putting pen to paper. A handwritten note carries intention. A signature carries identity. And the instrument that creates them becomes an extension of the individual behind every word. For more than a century, Montegrappa has transformed writing into an art form. Founded in 1912 in Bassano del Grappa, Italy, the renowned maison has earned its place among the world’s most prestigious makers of fine writing instruments, where Italian craftsmanship, precious materials, and timeless design converge with extraordinary precision. Every pen is meticulously assembled by skilled artisans using sterling silver, gold, celluloid, exotic resins, and other noble materials, creating heirlooms meant to be admired as much as they are used. More than a writing instrument, a Montegrappa pen is a statement of character. It celebrates those who still appreciate permanence over convenience, craftsmanship over mass production, and the enduring elegance of leaving one’s mark with ink rather than pixels. In the hands of visionaries, entrepreneurs, collectors, and world leaders, it becomes a quiet symbol of achievement, one that reminds us that while technology may shape the future, true legacy is still written by hand.
