Gourmand treasure hunt Solve the puzzles in order to fill your picnic basket! Your adventure starts at the Tourist Office where you will receive a bag containing a street map and a series of challenges. As soon as your team is ready, set off in search of the partner shopkeepers by solving the puzzles. At each stage, obtain the local products to fill up your picnic basket, which provides for 4 people.

CYCLING The Tour de France has already passed through Martigny on two occasions, emphasising the town’s attraction for exploring the region by bicycle (on roads, gravel track, or mountain biking). BMX enthusiasts can also practise their sport on the pump track.

MAGNUS THE MAGICIAN In the 12th century, Magnus the magician kept his wealth of secret magic spells in Martigny-Combe. Following the destruction of the castle, the magic formula disappeared. Set off with your team on the route of this lost secret.

Barryland Theme park

THE QUEST FOR THE GRAIL Open during the summer of 2025, this adventure enables participants to discover all the Bâtiaz castle rooms in a recreational way.

Enjoy a unique experience in a new park measuring 20,000 square metres and dedicated to the legendary canine rescuer. Explore 300 years of history and myths by meeting the real stars of the scene: the Saint Bernard dogs. The new park provides a space respectful of their welfare, uniting fun and educational discoveries.

Art in the town

From May to October, discover Martigny via a varied route which will take you from the Central Square to the Bâtiaz Castle, passing symbolic places such as the Semblanet Mill, “Barryland” theme park and the Pierre Gianadda Foundation.

As well as the museums and historic buildings presented on the other side of this brochure, Martigny, a town of art and culture, is distinguished by its 19 roundabouts decorated with sculptures produced by national artists. Started in 1994 by the benefactor Léonard Gianadda, this pioneering project resulted in the town’s cultural image being much enhanced. Other works, installed in the streets and shop windows have put the finishing touches to the urban artistic features.

From 2025, a new tour with commentary will enable you to discover Martigny’s surrounding nature ! Get on board for a journey in the heart of the verdant landscapes such as the Follatères reserve and its unique biodiversity, the sunlit orchards as well as the banks of the River Rhône.

Visit of the Morand Distillery Since its creation in 1889, five generations have striven to reach their present-day success in the cordial and eaux-de-vie markets. A guide will lead you to the discovery of the majestic stills and the imposing fermentation vats. During the visit, you will follow the fruit’s journey, from its arrival at the distillery to its bottling. Before leaving, you will have the opportunity to sample the Morand Company’s inescapable products such as the Williamine® pear liqueur or l’Abricotine, abricot liqueur.
