2026 A N N U A L C E L E B R AT I O N
Dear Friends, For over 117 years, Martha’s Vineyard Bank has grown alongside the people of the Island and Falmouth. Those deep roots shape how we give, and in 2026 the Martha’s Vineyard Bank Charitable Foundation has awarded more than $2.3 million to nonprofits and scholars. Among them, the Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club is building a new clubhouse where Island youth can learn and play. To address the housing shortage, Harbor Homes of Martha’s Vineyard is creating a permanent site for its winter shelter and services. In Falmouth, Belonging to Each Other is guiding neighbors from crisis toward stability, and the Falmouth Housing Trust helps local workers stay in the town they serve. Each effort began with people who saw a need and acted. This evening honors every recipient, including the students whose promise points to what lies ahead. Thank you for being here to celebrate the work that keeps our communities growing together. Warm regards,
James M. Anthony President & CEO Martha’s Vineyard Bank

MARTHA’S VINEYARD BOYS & GIRLS CLUB $1,000,000 For nearly 90 years, the Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club has offered young people a safe, inclusive place to learn, play, and discover what they can become. Today it serves more than 420 members, about one in four K–8 students on the Island, through after-school programs, summer camp, and support that extends to meals, medical, and dental care. Demand, however, has outgrown a clubhouse built more than four decades ago, and enrollment has been capped with families waiting for a spot. This grant helps close the final funding gap for a new 22,000-square-foot facility in Edgartown. Plans include a gymnasium, library, computer lab, art room, and dedicated spaces for tweens and teens, allowing the Club to welcome at least 25 percent more children from across the Vineyard. 3
HARBOR HOMES OF MARTHA’S VINEYARD $500,000 Every effort here shares one goal: making homelessness on the Island brief, rare, and non-recurring. Support ranges from congregate residences and a winter overnight program to case management for neighbors at risk of losing a place to live. This grant helps fund a new facility in Vineyard Haven, giving the shelter a lasting address and adding six shared units and a hub for job training, ESL classes, and health screenings.
ISLAND ELDERLY HOUSING $210,500 Since 1977, this nonprofit has provided affordable apartments and supportive services that help the elderly and those with disabilities live independently, with 165 units across four campuses. This grant covers the purchase and installation of a generator for the Woodside Village buildings in Oak Bluffs, where many tenants rely on oxygen, refrigerated medication, and powered medical equipment. Having backup electricity keeps residents safe during storm outages.
FALMOUTH HOUSING TRUST $20,000 Year-round workers shouldn’t have to leave Falmouth to own a home. Falmouth Housing Trust helps them stay by creating deedrestricted properties families can afford, including five workforce houses sold earlier this year. This sponsorship supported Homecoming: Celebrating 40 Years, the organization’s sole annual fundraiser.
BELONGING TO EACH OTHER $20,000 Belonging to Each Other provides Falmouth neighbors experiencing homelessness with cold-weather lodging, meals, transportation, and other essentials at no cost. This grant funds personalized services that help guests move from temporary quarters into homes of their own.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF CAPE COD $13,000 Through Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod, future homeowners work alongside volunteers to create affordable housing across the region. This grant supports the Gifford Street Extension project in Falmouth, reserved for buyers earning 60 to 80 percent of area median income.
BOSTON MEDFLIGHT $5,000 New England Life Flight, operating as Boston MedFlight, is the region’s leading nonprofit critical care transport organization, reaching more than 6,000 patients a year by helicopter, jet, and ambulance. No one is turned away for inability to pay. With this grant, that lifeline stays within reach for residents and visitors year-round.

VINEYARD HOUSE $5,000 Since 1997, Vineyard House has given Islanders a safe, structured, sober place to live while they rebuild. Sponsorship dollars went to the 2026 Water Tasting by the Sea, the organization’s primary annual fundraiser.
FALMOUTH BIKE LAB $3,000 At Falmouth Bike Lab, volunteers refurbish and donate bicycles, along with helmets, lights, and reflective vests. In its first seven months at Teaticket Park, the shop outfitted 288 riders. This grant supports its continued growth and commitment to no-cost transportation for all.
VINEYARD CONSERVATION SOCIETY $3,000 Since 1965, the Vineyard Conservation Society has worked to protect local land and water through advocacy, education, and stewardship. This year’s sponsorship helped make its 34th annual cleanup possible.
