You will receive a welcome email from Marshall White Concierge introducing you to the complimentary Marshall White Concierge service. Our professional Concierge team will then contact you 48 to 72 Hours after your purchase is confirmed to offer personal assistance. UPON UNCONDITIONAL SALE (confirmed purchase)

AS SOON AS YOU HAVE A MOVE DATE

Removalists

Removalist bookings can fill quickly, so it’s ideal to secure one early. We work with two highly recommended companies and will arrange for them to contact you directly to provide obligation-free quotes. Or we can simply pass on their details if you prefer.

Packing & Unpacking Assistance

Many of our recommended removalists also offer full packing and unpacking services if required.

Storage Options

If there’s a gap between moving out of your current home and moving into the new one, we can recommend temporary storage solutions if you need your items stored in the interim.

Insurance

Check insurance for your new property (some lenders require this before settlement). For a complimentary property insurance consultation please reach out to the Concierge Team for assistance.

Trades, Handyman or General Maintenance

Are you planning on any major or minor trade work to the property that requires a professional? Marshall White has a team of reputable trades that we can recommend.

5 WEEKS BEFORE SETTLEMENT

You will receive a Pre-Settlement Call from Concierge. Discuss a personal moving plan and let Concierge help tick off all the must-do items leading up to settlement.

Cleaners

Consider a professional clean before moving in and out of your property. We recommend trusted cleaners for all levels of service, including vacate cleans, steam cleaning, deep cleaning, and pressure washing.

Plan for Pets

Update pet tags with your new contact information and research local veterinarians.

3 WEEKS BEFORE SETTLEMENT

Arrange for utility disconnection (current address).

Arrange for utility connection (new address).

Through our partnership with Direct Connect, we can coordinate all connections for you—at no cost. They work with all major providers including Origin, AGL, Red Energy, and Lumo, and can ensure everything is live on settlement day with no lock-in contracts. Direct Connect can also assist with internet and NBN Connection.

NBN

Please ensure the NBN modem remains at the property. It belongs to the property, not the individual resident. You can check if your new property has NBN by clicking here - Check your address | nbn.

Owners Corporation (if applicable)

If your property includes an Owners Corporation, a welcome pack will be provided once your conveyancer notifies them of the change of acquisition. It’s worth contacting them prior to move-in, as some utilities may be embedded and require specific providers. You’ll also need to confirm your move-in date with them.

Set up Mail Redirection

Start Organising Change of Address

Suggested list below:

• Linkt / Toll accounts

• Driver’s licence

• Medicare

• Bank accounts (not linked to the home loan)

• Subscriptions & online services

• Mobile phone provider

• Voter registration

• Health insurance

• Car insurance

Final pre-settlement inspection (Scheduled by your Marshall White Agent).

The keys will be available for collection from the Marshall White office when the property has officially settled. The expected time can be confirmed by your conveyancer/solicitor.

Consider Changing the Locks

Whether it’s for peace of mind or practicality, we can arrange for our trusted locksmith to provide a quote.

Consider Pest Control

It’s an ideal time to have the house treated while it’s vacant, before pests settle in and before you move in.

Take Your Time Unpacking

Don’t rush the unpacking process. Prioritise setting up essential rooms, such as the bedroom and kitchen, and gradually tackle the rest.
