Prep time: 3 hrs. 10 min. Cook time: 11 minutes
Ingredients:
5 lbs. flanken short ribs 1 yellow onion chopped 3T ginger grated 6 garlic cloves rough chopped 1 T Five spice 2 oranges, zested and juiced .5c rice wine vinegar 1c tamari .5c honey (Craft & Kitchen) .25c hoisin 2T Sambal 3c shredded cabbage .5c matchstick radish 1c matchstick carrots 2T green onion, chopped 1.5c rice vinegar 1.5c water 3T sugar 4.5t salt
Steps:
Ribs: • Saute onions, garlic, and ginger for 3 min. Add remaining ingredients for marinade, whisk together, and chill. • Once marinade is chilled, add short ribs and marinate for at least 3 hrs.

• Turn grill to high and place ribs on grate. Grill each side for 2-3 minutes. Transfer to a plate and cover with foil loosely. Let rest for 5 minutes. • Garnish with orange zest. Slaw: • Bring vinegar, water, salt, and sugar to a simmer in a pot, mixing well to dissolve sugar and salt. • Pour over veggie mix and mix together.
