Mario Payne

Mario Payne is a U.S. Army veteran, Certified Financial Planner, and the founder of TOAMS Financial, an independent advisory firm based in Jacksonville, Florida. With over 15 years of experience, he has focused on helping clients grow their wealth, plan for their futures, and alleviate financial stress. Through efforts such as The Relax Estate and Payneful Profits, he has worked to provide individuals and families with tools for building long-term financial security. Mario J. Payne was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. After finishing high school, he attended Tennessee State University and earned a degree in Business Administration. Later, he completed a degree in financial planning through the College for Financial Planning. His dedication to his profession earned him the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification and the Accredited Asset Management Specialist designation. These qualifications place him among fewer than 2 percent of licensed African American advisors who hold the CFP® credential. Mario joined the United States Army during college and served as a Financial Sergeant during Operation Enduring Freedom. In this role, he supported fellow soldiers by helping them manage their pay, make careful financial decisions, and plan for their futures during challenging times. He began his career in financial services at American Income Life Insurance Company, where he gained experience in explaining financial concepts to working families. He then joined Edward Jones, where he worked with retirees, families, and business owners to help them prepare for their futures through investment and planning strategies. These experiences helped him develop his skills and shape his client-centered approach. In 2013, Payne founded TOAMS Financial, which stands for “Tithes Offering Alms Means Stewardship.” The firm is based in Jacksonville and serves clients across the United States and internationally.
