PRODUCER’S SPOTLIGHT
Craig and Kathy Moody:
Theatre was mother’s milk to Craig, seeing plays from the age of two. Raised by a father who chaired a large university’s theatre department and a radio-and television-producing mother, plays were what the family did. He retired from an antitrust litigation practice in 2015 in order to focus more on supporting theatres and the study of Shakespeare. Craig and his wife, Kathy, a retired garden-designer, who has, perhaps by osmosis, also become an avid theatre-supporter, have lived in the same home in Piedmont for nearly half a century and have been frequent contributors to more than a dozen Bay Area theatres. They have both been true fans of Lance Gardner since they met him while he was an extraordinary young actor for California Shakespeare Theatre, on whose Board of Directors Craig served. Craig has seen every production of Eureka Day since its premiere in 2018.

In a nutshell, board members:
Care deeply about the work on stage and the community off stage.
Embrace our role as ambassadors, advocates, and strategic partners.
Represent a range of voices—patrons, artists, neighbors, and those portrayed in the stories we tell.
We value a diversity of perspectives and are always looking to build a board that reflects the richness of our community across gender, race, age, background, ability, and geography. Interested in learning more? Reach out to Kara Leslie, Director of Development, at kara@ marintheatre.org.
