This year, we're celebrating something truly special. America turns 250 years old, and there's no better place to mark that milestone than right here, together, at one of Marin's most beloved community gatherings.
Our theme, Stars, Stripes and Stories, says it all. Yes, there will be flags and fireworks, as you'd expect from a 250th birthday party. But the stories part is where this Fair really comes alive. Because the most remarkable thing about 250 years of American life isn't the big moments in the history books. It's the everyday ones: the families who've attended this Fair for generations, the local artists and makers who put their hearts into every exhibit, the volunteers who show up year after year, the kids competing for their first blue ribbon.
Whether you're here for the livestock, the live music, the food, the rides, or just to wander and take it all in, I'm glad you're here. You're part of what makes this place matter.

As the nation celebrates America's 250th anniversary, we're honoring this milestone with the theme Stars, Stripes & Stories.
Step into a world of wonder with immersive theme activations that put YOU in the story. Marvel at a breathtaking balloon art installation that brings Stars, Stripes & Stories to life in vivid, sky-high color. Share your own piece of American history at our Story Sharing experiences, where the voices of our community become part of the celebration. Then grab your map and hit the ground running with our Stars, Stripes & Stories Scavenger Hunt, a one-of-a-kind adventure.
And that's just the beginning. From thrilling rides and world-class entertainment to hands-on exhibits and spectacular nightly fireworks, the Fair delivers five unforgettable days for every age, every background, and every story. We're as committed as ever to sustainability: zero-waste initiatives, reusable foodware, and a safe, welcoming space where all Fairgoers belong.

THE FAMILY STONE STEEL PULSE
With a blend of funk, soul, R&B, rock, and psychedelic music, The Family Stone keeps the music alive on stages around the world. This year, they're celebrating the 60th anniversary of Sly and the Family Stone.

The fun isn’t limited to the stage or carnival rides; the Marin County Fair is alive with grounds entertainment at every turn. Jugglers, balloon artists, stilt walkers, and mini‑trains roaming the Fairgrounds bring bursts of whimsy and surprise throughout the day. From spontaneous performances to interactive moments that delight guests of all ages, there’s always something magical happening just around the corner. Prepare to be entertained!

LATIN HERITAGE DAY - JULY 5
Immerse yourself in Latin culture, with a mariachi band, art projects like pinata making or paper mache marigolds and a Lupita Infante concert.

Letters to the Future
In honor of Marin County's 175th anniversary, fairgoers are invited to write a letter to the Marin of tomorrow. Letters will be collected and preserved as a living record of this milestone.

Journey through the Fair's rich history on this guided scavenger hunt, spotlighting the people, traditions, and moments that have shaped this beloved event over the decades.
Marin History Museum Photo Exhibit
A striking visual timeline of 4th of July parades, from decades past to today. Presented by the Marin History Museum, this exhibit traces how Marin County has marked 4th of July through the years.
Community Paper Patchwork Quilt
Add your square to a community quilt that will tell the story of the 2026 Fair. Pick up a 6x6 inch paper square and decorate it however you like, then drop it off at either the Fair Office or the Stars, Strips & Stories tent during the Fair to see it become part of something bigger.

MCA ART STUDIO
Bring your imagination to life at the MCA Art Studio, where all ages can jump into fun, creative projects. Whether you have five minutes or an hour, you’ll find colorful, hands on activities that spark curiosity and celebrate artistic expression. It’s the perfect place to make something uniquely yours during Fair day.
Take a break from the midway and dive into fresh storytelling at the Fair’s Film Festival. Enjoy animation, documentaries, environmental films, narratives, and experimental works, screened daily at 12:30 PM and 6:15 PM in the Showcase Theater.
Marin Bonsai Club
Explore living works of art with the Marin Bonsai Club’s beautifully cultivated trees. Docents are on hand to share cultivation techniques, styling insights, and care tips as you admire these miniature landscapes.
Marin Orchid Society
Step into a display of extraordinary blooms from the Marin Orchid Society, featuring member grown Phalaenopsis, Cattleyas, Zygopetalums, Dendrobiums, and more. It’s a vibrant celebration of color, craft, and horticultural passion.
