Nine and six story

TIC Austin handling two-building Arboretum complex TIC in Austin has started con­ struction on The Arboretum, a two-building complex going up in the city’s northwest section. Under the direction of foreman Larry Porterfield, the TIC crew is off to a quick start. One of the structures, a ninestory, has shaftwall and mechanical areas framed from the second floor on up. Larry says that such craftsmen as Fred Kennedy, Troy Kennedy, Mike Marcum, and Victor Latorre are providing excellent quality and production. As far as Larry’s abilities, TIC manager Carl Witherspoon claims “there’s none better.” Carl says that Larry gets good produc­ tion from his men and always seems to be under budget. “He’s really doing us a fantastic job,” claims Carl. TIC is expected to complete the core portion of The Ar­ boretum this fall.
