The project in question is the new hilltop campus in scenic Chattanooga, Tennessee for insurance giant Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Tennessee. Landing this contract and working on it is a testament to our ability to successfully tackle very large and complex construction jobs that demand skilled manpower, careful coordination and extensive planning. Working with GC Skanska EMJ Russell (SER), our work scope has included installing numerous partitions, acoustical & Axiom ceilings and many different finishing treatments in this million square foot “mega-project” comprised of four five-story buildings and a 4-story building, each with floor space averaging around 41,000 square feet. We have also installed various atypical structures in several different areas of the complex, including several elliptical furrdowns in the dining facility, numerous sub-floor “overbuilt” framing structures installed to support concrete slabs and heavy gauge
exterior framing supporting decorative panels and EIFS systems installed beneath the two walkways suspended above the courtyard areas.
Congratulations to all those who have worked on this great complex. It stands as a testimony to our ability and craftsmen.
