MBS’ Bill Fotta and David Pryor honored by Friendswood Development MBS-Houston Friendswood Development recently honored two MBS foremen for their exemplary work on the 6 Greenspoint Plaza building. Field Supervi-

project people from McCar thy, the general contractor on the 14-story office building. Fred Rubis is the McCarthy Project Manager and Jimmy Wolf, Sr. their Superintendent. Bud Hudson, MBS Con tract Sales Manager, was on hand as well. He was the MBS Project Manager on 6 Greenspoint Plaza. “It’s quite unusual for the owners of a building to recognize a sub contractor, so you know that what our guys did was pretty special to get such attention. We’ve got a great working relationship with both Friendswood and McCarthy and a lot of that is due to David and Bill. They’re a couple of our top hands. Peo ple like that make my sales tasks easier." Bill Fotta, a three-year MBS veteran, is currently working on the 10-story Southwest Memorial Professional Build ing. He gives a lot of credit for the recognition to his crew. “Carlos Saenz was my righthand man and he was great. Carlos is someone you can really trust. David Pryor made everything fall into place, too. Everybody just worked hard and made the job go smoothly."

Because the finish is what shows, it's ultra important; it’s what people judge the whole job's quality from. David Pryor's beautiful work on difficult surfaces caught Friendswood’s meticulous eye. Lawrence Cieslewicz, Sr. (L.C.), one of MBS’ Finishing Superintendents, has worked with David about eight years. "Everyone enjoys working with David. Not only is his work high quality, but he com municates so well. He finds out what people want and then he gives it to them," said L.C. David was one of the five MBS finishers who were sent to Washington to work on a project for McCarthy. He also recently worked on the 14-story Thornwood II building. David is an avid fisherman and musician.
