This handcrfated planter embodies a harmonious blend of earth tones and architectural elements, carved with textured details and supported by the glazed stoneware interior. Each planter is a unique work of art, with no two pieces being alike.

Our Self-Watering pottery uses our Wick & Grow system to allow your plant to take in as much water as it needs with no risk of overwatering. This wick serves as a prothetic root that won’t develop rot, midew, or mold. Check your pot routinely to make sure it doesn’t run dry, and your plant will never dry out!

Costa Farms Support (Lowes.FieldSales.Support@costafarms.com)

1.94-Gal Majesty Palms & 1.72-Gal Assorted Foliage (55 Units)

Houseplant Watering Guidelines

• Large Foliage (1.50-Gal+): Every 4-5 days so the soil stays moist but not saturated.

• Small Foliage (under 1.50-Gal): Every 2-3 days or if leaves become limp or soil is dry to touch.

• Orchids: Water once very two weeks, when moss has dried out. Never let orchids sit in water more than 30 minutes. Orchids prefer to be too dry than too wet.

• Bonsai: Every 1-2 weeks depending on container size as the potting mix begins to dry. Do not over water.

• Hanging Baskets: Every 3-4 days depending on container size. Be care not to over fill and do not let the water overflow and damage product beneath.

• Wick & Grow: Place water in the tray, checking weekly to ensure it is full. For Wick & Grow planters, check the window on the side of the pot or lift the plant out to ensure water is in the bottom of the planter. Make sure wicks are touching the water.

• Bromeliads: As soil becomes dry. Always place water on the soil, not in the trunk of the plant. Placing water inside the trunk causes rot and infestation.

• Items with glued rocks: slowly pour water around the base of the plant every 2 weeks or as soil dries if it is visible.

• African Violets: weekly water from the bottom using a plastic tray allowing the plant to absorb the water. Avoid getting water on the leaves as this can cause spotting damage.

• Cacti, Succulents and air plants: spritz with water on the days that end in “0”: 10th, 20th 30th of each month.

• Pachira (Money Tree): Keep soil slightly moist, but not wet, especially for extended periods. Do not allow to sit in full water.

REMINDER !

• Wick & Grow Trays:

• Clea n every 3 0 days with soap and hot wat er

• Sp ot che ck wa tering daily and wa ter levels in wick & grow trays.

Post Without Drainage Holes

Don’t let plant roots and dirt sit in standing water

• Make note of houseplants in pots without drainage holes – water sparingly

• If there is standing water in the bottom of a pot, drain it out

• Plant roots growing in soil will rot if left in standing water

• Excludes specialty houseplants with visible bare roots in water

item with visible bare roots –OK to sit in water

Corporate Distressed Plant Markdown Process

Policy:

1. When watering daily, inspect all Live Goods materials to identify distressed material.

2. ONLY distressed products should be pulled for clearance.

3. How to identify:

• 80% of blooms are spent or fully past bloom

• Foliage or branches are broken or damaged

• Foliage is brown or is showing signs of insect damage

• Product does not represent full value of retail price

4. Cull as you water using First In, First out method.

5. When culled, use a black or red marker and draw a thin, horizontal line through the barcode (see picture top right). This indicates to the cashier that product is clearance when being sold or returned.

6. Distressed plants are to be placed on a blue rolling rack that is designated for clearance (signed) at the back of the garden center near the receiving gate. Please keep new inventory separated from the clearance area.

7. Any items that are no longer sellable must be billed out to the non-sellable nursery account (#120) and destroyed.

8. Each Rack should contain the clearance banner and price indicator signage. Minimum 4 racks. There are no max limits as the program may need to be extended in peak season.

DO NOT:

• Sell cull packages

• Sell at zero dollars

• Sell on pretax basis
