2018 Winter Oympic Games
Dans la semaine Lis avec moi (2-6 octobre), où on favorisait la littérature québécoise et canadienne, des parents sont venus en classe pour nous raconter des histoires de toutes sortes. Doux moments appréciés par les élèves et leur enseignante… Présentement, nous travaillons sur un projet qui s’intitule La semaine de Julien. Dans ce dernier, de l’auteure Danielle Simard, on retrouve sept petits romans qui nous racontent les aventures de la semaine de Julien, le personnage principal. Deux fois par semaine, nous travaillons en équipe de quatre sur un roman en particulier. Nous cuisinons le français à toutes les sauces : apprentissage de nouveaux mots en lien avec la littérature, lecture de chapitres en équipe ou individuellement, révision des notions du schéma de récit dans nos romans, intégration des notions de français à nos lectures… Les mathématiques seront également intégrées… Prochainement, peut-être aurez-vous la chance de voir Julien entre les murs de Saint-Marc…

South Korea chose two mascots: Soohorang, a white tiger, and Bandabi, a black bear. If you go to these Olympics Games, you will see the mascots during the one hundred and two events.

J’ai un nouveau chaton à la maison. Elle s’appelle Akko. Nous l’avons fait stériliser. Stériliser ça veut dire faire une opération pour que l’animal ne puisse pas avoir de bébé. C’est important parce qu’il y a trop de chats sans famille. Après l’opération, le chaton ne doit pas lécher sa plaie et on lui met un cône. Pas un cône de circulation, mais un collier en plastique. Pour la prendre, nous devons la tenir par les fesses pour ne pas lui faire mal. Maintenant, elle va très bien.
In the world we have a lot of pollution. That’s why I want to show you today what we can do to help the Earth, which country makes the most pollution and finally the impact of pollution on our planet. To help the planet, we can reduce our garbage by buying less. But when we have some, please recycle it instead of putting it in the ground. We can also never waste water, food etc. The impacts of the pollution can be seen with climate change. The warming of the planet’s temperature kills some animals on the ice fields. Also, the animals that eat the garbage in the water, die. The country that pollutes the most is China. When you go to this country, you can smell and see the problem. The main reason for the pollution in China is that they are 1,200,000,000 people living there! However, they make many objects that we buy and that also makes pollution. Finally, in summary, try to reduce your waste and to help the Earth in your own way.

Fall is beautiful. But the cold wind is powerful. With the leaves on the ground. With the colors all around. In the beginning of the fall. There are leaves on the trees. At the end. All are on the ground.
On this night of Halloween. I see a lot of pumpkins in front of me. I see a cemetery. I am not welcome. This place is their home. You know, dead people are sensitive. If you want play with them you have to be courageous. Don’t let life go too far from you. Now the dead invade you!

Maël Ducharme GR. 32 Sophie, une petite fille de 12 ans, adorait les tigres. Il y en avait sept au zoo proche de sa maison, le plus grand zoo de Paris. Sa tigresse préférée s’appelait Durga, la plus belle et jeune de tous les tigres. Un jour, pendant les vacances d’été, Sophie alla au zoo pour voir Durga. Il y avait une foule en dehors de l’enclos des tigres. – Durga s’est échappée ! s’écria une femme portant l’uniforme du zoo. Devant la foule, Sophie pouvait voir un gros morceau de viande devant la tanière noire de Durga. Même endormie, la tigresse pouvait sentir la nourriture et sortait de sa chambre. Pas maintenant, Sophie s’inquiétait. Un tigre, c’est dangereux !
Un soir d’Halloween, quatre petits enfants se promenaient dans les rues de Québec. Ils allaient sonner à une porte et tout à coup un fantôme sortit. Les enfants coururent le plus vite qu’ils purent, mais le fantôme les rattrapa. Une chance que leur maison était là. Mais ils avaient oublié que les fantômes pouvaient passer au travers des portes. Le fantôme passa à travers la porte. Mais les enfants étaient rusés et ils savaient que les fantômes pouvaient
En revenant du zoo, Sophie vit quelque chose de si effrayant qu’elle ne put s’empêcher de crier. Une silhouette rayée, couchée en haut de la haie des voisins. Durga ! La tigresse regarda Sophie d’un air curieux, pendant que cette dernière s’enfuyait vers sa maison. – Maman ! Maman ! cria Sophie à sa mère, qui regardait une annonce à la télévision qui parlait de Durga. Ensemble, la fille et sa mère s’en allèrent au poste de police. Les policiers revinrent sur la rue de Sophie puis ils examinèrent la haie où Durga était encore endormie. Ils marchèrent vers Sophie. – Je ne sais pas où vous avez eu l’idée que ce soit la tigresse !, dit l’un d’eux, en tenant dans ses bras un gros chat rayé qui ronronnait. Sa mère disait toujours que Sophie avait beaucoup d’imagination ! Soudain, un policier reçut un appel du zoo. Durga était dans l’enclos ! En arrivant au zoo, Sophie vit sa tigresse préférée, couchée dans un nid de feuillage, avec quatre petits bébés à côté d’elle. Pour le reste des vacances, Sophie alla au zoo très régulièrement pour voir Durga et ses petits : Raaki, Batupi, Aïzu et Mimabé. Même après la frousse que Durga lui avait donnée, Sophie aimait les tigres encore plus qu’avant sa mésaventure !

Par une nuit d’octobre 2017, Florence, qui habitait dans une maison immense, se dit qu’elle était toute seule pour la fin de semaine et qu’elle pourrait inviter sa meilleure amie Danaë pour faire un party. Flo et Danaë ont environ 13 ans. Danaë a 12 ans et demi et Flo 13 ans et 1 quart, donc elles ne passent plus l’Halloween.

Aujourd’hui, au camp des Lamas, c’est la fête d’Halloween. Il est 19 heures et nos personnages font la fête. Dans la soirée, il y a des bonbons, une fontaine et des activités méga cool. Après la fête, Kalys, Margot et Cameron se dirigent vers leur dortoir pour dormir.

Cameron réveille alors Kalys et Margot pour leur montrer cette famille étrange qui habitait la maison voisine.
Bien et toi?
- Les filles, il y a des vampires, ils vont nous croquer, cria Cameron. Les filles, pas encore bien réveillées, se dirigent vers la résidence avec Cameron pour en savoir plus. Cela fait 30 minutes que nos personnages marchent. Arrivés dans la résidence, nos personnages sont bien accueillis par une petite fille de 5 ans qui les invite à prendre le thé. Après leur rencontre, Cameron en profite pour diriger sa lampe de poche vers elle et lui faire sentir de l’ail. Malgré ses tentatives, la gamine est toujours en forme. Kalys, l’une des amies de Cameron, a l’idée de chercher des indices pour prouver aux gens qu’ils sont des vampires et il qu’il faut les éliminer. Nos compagnes cherchent partout, dans la salle de bain, dans la cuisine et dans les chambres, mais sans succès. Sans espoir, nos personnages décident d’aller demander de l’aide à M. Gaston, le gérant des dortoirs.

À 20 h 15, Danaë partit de chez elle pour aller chez Flo. En passant devant l’épicerie du quartier, elle se sentit suivie. Elle se retourna et vit un homme vêtu de noir portant un masque horrible qui la suivait. Alors, Danaë courut tellement vite qu’elle tomba plusieurs fois, mais se relevait tout le temps. L’homme la rattrapa. Arrivée chez Flo, elle cogna et Flo lui ouvrit la porte, mais, l’homme réussit à entrer par une fenêtre ouverte. Florence, sans crainte, retira le masque de l’homme. Elle dit à Danaë que c’était son cher oncle, monsieur Lapierre, qui était derrière le masque et ses habits noirs. Alors, Flo dit qu’elle s’excusait, même si c’était drôle de voir la face de son amie qui courrait pour s’échapper. Danaë accepta ses excuses, mais pour se faire pardonner Florence devrait lui faire écouter son film favori et devrait lui donner tous ses bonbons. Florence dit que c’était trop. Danaë dit qu’elle avait exagéré un peu, beaucoup, pour tout ce qu’elle avait demandé à son amie, mais qu’elle voulait quand même écouter un film avec des bonbons. L’oncle de Florence décida de tout séparer en trois, alors chacun eut des bonbons et du popcorn et tout finit bien.
- M. Gaston, il y a des vampires dans la maison voisine, panique Margot. -Ha ha ! Ces personnes sont mes amies et non des vampires, dit Gaston. Depuis ce jour, nos amis sont gentils avec les voisins.

A Strange Tree

One morning, Mary and her brother, Jack, walked on Flour Street. Suddenly, a heavy rain started. Mary saw an old manor not too far away. The two children ran toward the black manor. When they arrived in front of the door, Jack knocked, but nobody answered. Suddenly, the door opened itself. Behind the door, there was a baby doll with two yellow flashing eyes.
Once upon a time, a teenager of fifteen years old called Emily lived in the forest. She was a wild and interesting girl. You must be wondering how she ended up in the forest. Nobody knows, but she probably learned how to survive in those kinds of moments. Actually, she had lived here since she was six years old. Emily had blue eyes, red lips and beautiful straight long hair. She was a little and thin person. She liked to run in the forest and didn’t mind being dirty. Emily was very wild.
It broke the silence and said : ‘’HO! HO! ‘’, as if it did something silly. The children were scared. Five seconds later, the doll said, ‘’Look behind you!’’
One morning in 2020, during summer, she woke up with a strange purple butterfly in front of her. It was very weird because after nine years of wild life in the forest, she had never seen a butterfly like this. A moment later, it decided to go away, so she followed it. A second after she had got out of her bed she strangely woke up again! But this time, she was in front of a tree.
The kids looked but they saw nothing. They looked back at the doll and she came closer to the two kids. Jack jumped on the doll and pulled out the battery. Then, the doll stopped moving. After, Mary and Jack turned in the other direction to run away but they heard a loud, ’’HO! HO!’’
It was a very strange tree, as strange as the butterfly. Emily decided to forget about it and come back where her hut was but she couldn’t find it. The forest was very big. She had no choice but to build another hut exactly where she was. At the same time, she wanted to know more about the tree. So she walked around it and saw a door, so she opened it.

Then she saw a thousand butterflies flying in front of her. How did the inside of the tree look? Was it like a giant room? She had no idea, but for sure, she would live near this amazing tree until the end of her life!
Mary was trying to sleep but she coudn’t because it was Christmas. She wanted to know more than anything what gift she was going to receive. ‘’A doll? A teddy bear? Candies? I want to know!’’, was thinking Mary. She finally fell asleep at midnight and dreamed about Santa Claus and his millions of gifts to give to all the children on the planet. A few hours later, she opened her eyes and looked at her clock - it was seven o’clock. ‘’Santa clause has already put my gift under the Christmas tree!’’, shouted Mary. She ran to the living room and saw a big gift under the Christmas tree. ‘’Mom, dad, come! I want to open my gift!’’, cried Mary. Her two parents arrived and Mary joyfully opened her big gift and inside was… A BEAUTIFUL DOLL HOUSE! ‘’This is the best gift that I have ever had in all my life! I am so happy! Thank you Santa Claus!’’, said Mary.

Je m’exprime Les droits des femmes Éléonore Huot GR. 51
Bonjour mon nom est Éléonore H. et je suis féministe. Mais qu’est-ce que le féminisme ? Le féminisme regroupe les féministes, qui sont des femmes et des hommes qui se battent pour les droits des femmes dans le monde entier. Depuis longtemps, les hommes persécutent, attaquent et violent les femmes. Elles sont sous-payées et souvent nous ne faisons rien, car nous sommes habitués à cette société inégale et pourtant dit « mixte ». Le sexisme est une inégalité entre les deux sexes. Par exemple, dans certains pays, les filles ne doivent pas mettre de casque en moto pour ne pas défaire leur maquillage, et leur « brushing ». Peut-être avez-vous déjà été victime d’une telle chose, alors dénoncez-les et retrouvezmoi dans les chroniques, vous saurez tout sur les femmes qui ont fait de grandes choses ou sur les nouvelles actualités sur ce sujet. Hi my name is Felipe and I want to give you my opinion about why children spend so much time in front of a screen.
Did you know? In Quebec, of the 85,6% of the children who have electronic gadgets, 43% spend a normal amount of time in front of a screen. The normal time is 2 to 3 hours for 11 year olds, like me. We are 1,291,590 children in Quebec. I think that electronic gadgets are like a drug so we are not able to stop playing and watching. Conclusion, I think that too many children spend too much time on their electronic devices. Why do you think children are not able to control their screen time?

À chacune de mes chroniques, je vais vous parler d’une bande dessinée et ce mois-ci, la bd est… VICTOR ET IGOR !!! Ce que j’aime avec Victor et Igor, c’est qu’on y trouve pleins de références québécoises. Victor et Igor sont tous les deux des robots. Ils ont été créés par Ernest et Isaac. Ce sont les “parents” de nos deux héros. Ce qui est bizarre, c’est que Igor est un singe ! Ils passent tous leurs temps libres à jouer à des jeux vidéos et à aller au laboratoire pour faire des expériences.

For this DIY (Do it yourself) You will need : A marker Some bleach A pair of rubber gloves Before you start make sure that you wear a pair of rubber gloves! 1. To start, put some bleach into a bowl. 2. Take a marker of your choice. 3. After, take out the felt and the ink tube in the back and put them into the bleach so that they become white.

If the music of your Ipod is not loud enough, put your Ipod in an empty glass and this way, the sound will come out louder. 2. If you want to go out but it’s raining and you don’t want to wet your shoes, make your shoes waterproof by putting beeswax on them. 3. Your ice cream is melting? No problem, you just have to put a cupcake mold under your ice candy. 4. If you don’t want look for your keys every day, paint them with nail polish with different colours to recognise them easily. 5. When your shoes start to be dirty, try applying toothpaste on them with an old toothbrush and they will be white like new.
4. To speed up the process, you can press the ink tube.
6. So as not to lose your earphones, you have to attach them with a hair clip.

7. If your highlighter doesn’t work, soak a cotton ball with lemon juice and renew your marker.
