Je m’exprime Arthur vengeur : Une année mouvementée Estelle Galarneau, GR 41
Chapitre 1 — Me voici Bonjour! Je m’appelle Arthur, mais on me surnomme Arthur vengeur même si mon nom de famille est Vaillancourt. On m’appelle comme ça parce que la bande de Jules dit que je me venge tout le temps sur les gens qui m’insultent. Quoi! Ce n’est pas mon problème s’ils m’insultent, j’ai le droit de me défendre. Une chance que mon copain Paul est là pour me protéger. Il fait partie de la SPHE, Sauvons les personnes harcelées à l’école. J’adore cette mini entreprise; en fait, ce que j’aime, c’est surtout agacer Jules et ses amis pour qu’ils apprennent que les personnes qu’ils humilient n’ont plus peur d’eux. Mon copain, c’est le meilleur, il sait tout faire, il jongle à six balles, c’est le champion du saut en longueur et il danse comme Michael Jackson. J’ai un peu honte d’être avec lui. La bande de Jules est formée de Jules, le leader du groupe, Sam, celui qui harcèle les filles, Tom, celui qui harcèle les garçons et finalement, Mélissa. Mélissa a un bon côté, mais Jules, son frère, l’a entraînée dans la méchanceté. Une chance que Madame Élise est là pour nous protéger. Madame Élise, c’est la prof de Paul, Tom et moi. Je tiens un journal appelé Kitty, mais Tom dit que c’est pour les filles. Même pas vrai, en plus ! Mes parents disent tout le temps que je devrais ressembler à Paul. Mon père s’appelle Fred. Il a les cheveux bruns, comme moi, comparé à ma mère qui a les cheveux blonds comme le soleil. Moi, cheveux bruns frisés et Paul, cheveux blonds raides. Nous n’avons rien en commun, mais nous sommes quand même amis pour toujours.
Chapitre 2 — Sac à dos en retard Ce matin, je me réveille en sursaut ! Je regarde mon cadran. OMG ! Il est 7 h 25 du matin et l’école commence à 8 h. Je vois ma mère arriver en disant : « Arthur, dépêche-toi, c’est fini les vacances ! » Oups ! C’est vrai, l’été est fini, c’est l’école ce matin. Je m’habille à une vitesse phénoménale. Ma mère n’a même pas le temps de me servir un verre d’eau. Je cherche mon sac à dos, mais je ne le trouve pas. Je cherche sous mon lit, il n’est pas là. Je regarde dans le panier de mon chien Dooffy. Je vois mon chien mordiller mes affaires d’école. Je lui prends mon cartable d’anglais de force et je m’habille en vitesse pour me rendre à l’école Saint-Jérôme. J’ai hâte de voir les panneaux pour les classes, j’espère être dans la classe 53 et ne pas être avec Tom ou Jules, mes pires ennemis. Je fais le plus gros sprint de ma vie et Dooffy me suit. Je sens une telle peur en voyant l’école et ses élèves! C’est là que je vois Paul, mon meilleur copain, courir vers moi. On ouvre ensemble la porte de la clôture en se dirigeant petit à petit vers notre prof de 4e année qui nous pointe tous les deux vers Mme Michèle, la professeure de la classe 53. Je soupire profondément avant de voir arriver Jules et Mélissa vers moi. J’ai tellement peur que j’arrête net de bouger. Paul se met devant moi et crie : « SPHE, j’ai besoin de ton aide, SPHE ! » C’est alors qu’une troupe de personnes avec d’étranges maillots orange nous entourent. P2
Mélissa et Jules, qui allaient nous insulter, sont alors partis en courant. J’ai alors eu un choc en regardant les panneaux d’école. Mélissa et Jules sont dans notre classe ! En entendant tout ce brouhaha, une professeure de 5e année nous dit de sa voix grave et portante : « Qu’estce qui se passe ici ? On n’est pas dans un tournoi international de lutte ! Tassez-vous que j’aille parler à ma collègue. » Je me suis tassé, laissant la place à une nouvelle prof de 5e année. J’ai couru vers la fiche que ma prof de 4e année m’avait montrée. Je l’ai regardée attentivement et j’ai vu la photo de la dame qui nous a demandé de nous tasser il y a deux minutes à peine. Je suis découragé. Paul, lui, a l’air plutôt content. Cette dame nous a sûrement bousculés, mais elle nous a sortis d’un sacré pétrin !!

Je m’exprime L’histoire de Bob le chat Juliette Arbour Béatrice Laferté-Lamothe Jacob Cianci, GR 51 -61
Un jour, il apprit que M. Exotic Butter avait à voir dans la blague de Chabrina. Tout à coup, Exotic Butter arriva devant lui et dit : « Tu n’aurais pas dû me manger, amigo. » Il lui lança une tarte bolognaise dans la figure et Bob se lécha tranquillement la face avec sa langue longue et très souple. La tarte était tellement bonne qu’il s’exclama : « Exotic Butter ! Tu m’as fait découvrir le goût de la tarte bolognaise et je t’en remercie ! Maintenant, je t’aime ! » M. Exotic Butter s’évanouit de joie. Mais tout à coup, Bob vit une petite fille très ressemblante à Six traverser la rue et il s’élança à sa poursuite, oubliant l’existence de M. Exotic Butter.
Bob est né en 1993 sur Mars. Il vit avec ses parents, Roger le chat et Béatrice la chatte. Son amie Juliette la chatte et lui aiment jouer à Little Nightmares. Le petit Bob adorait le personnage Six. Il était amoureux d’elle. Mais il ne se doutait pas que M. Exotic Butter de Fnaf l’aimait, lui… Mais Bob était très triste, car Six était très solitaire et n’était pas réelle. Bob était enragé alors il mangea M. Exotic Butter. « Miam ! », dit Bob. Pauvre Exotic Butter ! Il avait été mangé par celui qu’il aimait ! M. Exotic Butter commença à remuer dans le ventre de Bob et le chat le vomit. Un jour, par miracle, Six de l’espace apparut et Bob la demanda en mariage. Mais cela était juste une illusion ! La Six de l’espace était en fait sa pire ennemie Chabrina qui était entrée par effraction chez lui ! Elle fit un dab interdit devant lui et s’enfuit par la fenêtre.

M. Exotic Butter se réveilla attaché dans une pièce noire. Elon Musk rit : « Hahahahahaha! » M. Exotic Butter se fit manger une deuxième fois. Et Bob vécut sa vie avec sa nouvelle petite copine, Chix la chatte !

Ma planète s’appelle Okuria. Elle est mauve quand il fait chaud, blanche quand il fait froid. Ceux qui y habitent sont des elfes et des fées, mais il y a malheureusement aussi des ogres. Ils ne sont pas gentils. Les elfes se battent, les fées s’enfuient. Elles ont peur de se faire manger. La végétation d’Okuria est magique et vaste. C’est très joli, là-bas. J’aimerais y aller un jour. Puisqu’il fait calme, je vais apporter un jeu de société. Je ne viendrai pas seule, mais avec mes amies.

Zac Beaudoin Je me réveille dans l’espace ! Je découvre une planète inconnue dans une fusée. La planète s’appelle Mila. Il y a des feuilles et des arcs-en-ciel. Je vois aussi un chien et un extraterrestre, je vois un affreux pirate.
Louis Archambault Je suis né sur une planète inconnue. Je regarde autour de moi et je vois Adrien sur la planète juste à côté de la mienne. Je vois une fusée écrasée. Je vois 80 lunes et je me trouve un ami. Le ciel est rouge. Le nom de ma planète est Sonique.

Léna Legentil Je découvre une planète. Je ne sais pas encore où je suis, ah mais oui, c’est la planète. Enfin, elle a huit lunes. Sur une de ses lunes, il y a Yoga. Il y a deux soleils. Elle est verte et turquoise. Elle a de belles fleurs. Il y a des lapins, des oiseaux, des renards et des écureuils. Les fêtes sur cette planète sont Noël et l’Halloween.
Gustave Schryer-Ladhui J’atterris sur une planète appelée Ganymède. Dans mon voyage, j’ai croisé la comète Tchouri. Sur la planète, il y a des cratères. Elle est très belle. Elle est brune et elle brille. À côté, il y a Kepler-452b. Je me cherche des amis.

On allait oublier que si nous voulons habiter sur d’autres planètes, il faut commencer par un peu plus respecter la nôtre alors NON à la pollution. Merci!

Nicole was born on April 7th 1949 in Mascouche. She has worked for St-Marc School for almost 8 years. Her family encouraged her to become a school crossing guard because she loves kids and she has always been around them. Nicole says that an important quality for being a school crossing guard is the ability to ensure the security of the students. Sometimes, drivers’ behaviour makes her job difficult. Other times, it’s the students who make her job difficult by not listening to instructions. She likes it when people are respectful and adopt safe behaviour.
He gave us a nice interview; he was polite, fun and punctual! He was open to answering all our questions. Thank you!
In the summer, she likes to play with her three daughters and four little granddaughters. P16
Her pastimes are gardening and watching documentaries on TV. Her message for students is this: Enjoy life one day at a time! Here’s what some of the students said about Nicole: "She is a nice and very interesting person." "She likes to be with kids to see them grow up." "She is kind and she works hard." Ça bouge à Saint-Marc La Récré Pierre Normil
You have met this man many times while crossing the intersection of StZotique Street and 1st Avenue. His name is Pierre Luckner Normil. He was born on October 27th 1946 in Haiti. He studied to become a priest in France and was sent to Quebec to work in different communities in the province. Back home in Haiti, where he would spend his summers, he got a school built for the children of his village with the money he earned while working for the YMCA in Montreal. There, he also cultivates bananas. In the summer, he likes reading romantic books along the Lachine Canal. He told us about his ancestors who were brought from Africa to be slaves in Haiti, along with the indigenous people there. These people suffered much under the Europeans’ reign. There was a revolution in 1804 ending with the independence of Haiti.
Pierre loves children and so his daughter proposed that he become a school crossing guard. Pierre has been a school crossing guard for about 6 years and has worked for St-Marc for 4 years. He told us that he loves his job because of us, children, and if you want to be a school crossing guard, you must like kids. However, for him, the only bad thing about his job is that he must wake up way too early, between 5 AM and 6 AM. He has to wake up extra early because he lives in the downtown area. Now you may wonder what he does during the summer. Well, he goes back to Haiti and visits his family and friends. He has a son in France and a daughter who is a police officer here in Montreal. He also has a message for us: If you have any problems, you can talk to your teachers because they are awesome.

GR 70 Younes Boulassel Hello! Today I will talk you about what I liked in the Museum of Ottawa. I think Hitler’s car was very impressive. It was an old car with traces of gun shot. The spare tire was I the front instead of the back. I really liked the dinosaur fossils. They were very big and beautiful. With a small machine, you can hear the sounds of a dinosaur. In conclusion, I really liked the trip to Ottawa.
Alice Fu On my trip, I found many amazing things. Two of them were memorable. The first one was from the Nature Museum in the Earth Gallery. I saw so many different crystals. Some looked fluffy, mysterious or flat. They really stood out. There was way more then you could ever imagine. There were so many beautiful colors and patterns. I couldn’t believe my eyes. Another amazing thing I saw was in the Nature Museum but this time in the Arctic Gallery. You could touch the ice and look at arctic animals. They were so adorable. You could do quizzes and I thought it was really fun. In conclusion, you could probably tell that I really enjoyed the Nature Museum, I am very grateful that I had a chance to visit Ottawa with my class. I hope that one day I'll be able to tell other people how amazing Ottawa is. P18

The War Museum Anaïs Dussault
We went to the War Museum. I really liked it because sometimes, we say: “War is horrible.” But we don’t know a lot of information about that. I had a great grand father and he died one year ago. He fought in the World War II. I was always concerned to listen him when he told a story but he never said many details. It was the first time I read about the World War II and I felt emotions. What is nice is that they don’t just talk about the soldiers. They talk about the soldiers’ families. There was a section just about children. I imagine myself in their place. A little girl wrote a letter to her father. In the letter, she wrote about her day and sent her teddy bear to protect her father. But the father never received the letter. He died before he received it. It was very interesting and I recommend it to you.
The Nature Museum William Chittaro
When I went to Ottawa, I learned many things. Did you know the wild felines play to train their muscles and their movements? That can help them catch preys like little animals. In some sections, there were games about what you read and that was fun. In every section, there were interesting things to read or to see but my favorite one was the owls’ gallery. When we went outside, there were real owls and a real eagle, that was amazing. There was a little biography to learn more about them like their age, their names and a little story about them. That was the outing for the Nature Museum.
The Earth Gallery Arnaud Paiement
My favorite gallery at the Nature Museum is the Earth gallery with the cave at the end and the rock at the beginning. In the cave, I really liked the water running down the wall. There is a little entry in the rock in the cave and we played in it. We sled in and than we did it again. In this gallery, we saw precious stones like quartz, gold or metal. My favorite gallery is the earth gallery because I really liked the rocks. Right now, I know it’s the best museum. P19

Simone Veilleux I loved the Water Gallery because we could see how much plastic and trash they were in the ocean. It was sad but surprising at the same time. When I saw a real bald Eagle, I was really impressed because it was majestic with its long beak. In the War Museum, the tank was really cool without talking of the big beautiful war plane that you can see if you looked up. When we saw the beautiful spider, it reminded me of my old school because we made a project out of it one time. At the Nature Museum, the stuffed animals were so realistic that we could almost see it move. The Moon and the Earth in the museum were enormous but not as big as the real Moon and Earth.
Ottawa Trip Friday, I went to Ottawa and I saw the Museum of Nature. When I passed the door of the Mammals Gallery, I loved it immediately. There was a lot of stuffed animals. All of the animals looked really realistic .Wolves, foxes, oxes and more were there, in beautiful environments. When you are there, you feel like you are in he places with the animals. It’s very cool and impressive. I loved the giant moon and earth too. They were so beautiful. When you go up the stairs, you have a better view of the moon and it’s so impressive. In the War Museum, I was very impressed to see the car of Hitler. This man did a lot of horrible things so it is impressive to see his car. Hitler bought it, he used it, so it impressed me. The windows were broken with what I think were bullet holes. Finally, this car survived World War II and it’s impressive! In the Nature Museum, I liked the Mammal Gallery with the stuffed animals. The environment was very realistic, so much I think I saw the animals moving, and again in the Nature Museum I really liked the big Moon and the big Earth. That it for my summarize of my outing. I hope I give you a good idea of Ottawa.

Do you want to know what I liked in Ottawa? Read more about my visit to Canadian Museum of Nature and the War Museum. First, were the real owls. They flew in their cages or turned their heads to see us. It’s really beautiful! Second, there was the representation of a camp in the Arctic Gallery. The fire was fake so we could put our hands in it. It was really cool! Third, there was the representation of a cave in the Earth Gallery. When we went in, there was like water dripping down the rock and there was a little slide so we could slide. It was super fun! Finally, there were a lot of trenches in the War Museum. It was as if we are there. It was good! It’s not all I liked at Ottawa, but now you know a few things I liked about our visit to Ottawa.

Ottawa’s museums
My class and I went to Ottawa by bus and it took at least two hours and 30 minutes. We went to the War Museum first and saw plenty of weapons, armors, badges, people and other interesting stuff. My favorite part was when we saw tanks and big war planes. We also saw Hitler’s car. It was very big and had bullet holes in the glass. I was shocked when I saw it.

I will talk to you about the two museums that I visited. In the War Museum, I Iiked the last room with all the tanks because I could finally take a break from reading to find information for the scavenger hunt, looking around and writing. I could chill and talk with my friends without doing anything. The tanks were awesome and huge. I also liked the Earth Gallery because I could see all kind of precious stones like ambers, opals and topaz. One of the videos was really interesting because it showed how precious stones were made and I could choose wich one I wanted to learn more about.
Secondly, we went to see the Eternal Flame and learned how and why it was created. We threw coins in the flame and tried to catch the coin but we failed. We learned that the Eternal Flame was made of gas and was created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Confederation. And last but not least, we went to the Nature Museum. At the Nature Museum, we saw amazing dinosaur fossils and animal fossils. It was very awesome to see and be able to touch them.
I hope that one day you will visit the Nature Museum.
In the end, it was very fun and I learned many new things.

A wonderful museum Éloi Pelletier
On November 25th, my class and I went to Ottawa. During our trip, we went to the Nature Museum and we saw wonderful things. In my group, we had the time to visit every gallery like the Fossil gallery, Arctic gallery, etc. But I will talk to about two galleries: Water and Mammal galleries. My favourite one was the Water Gallery because we saw real animals like turtles and fish, but we also saw the big skeleton of a blue whale and it was very impressive. There were many other interesting things like a fake beluga or a stuffed otter. An other place we saw is the Mammal Gallery. In this room, we saw many stuffed animals like wolves or bears and it was very interesting, but it was a little bit sad because every animal is dead and now some of them are in danger of extinction like caribous or pumas, but it was still very cool. Finally, I found this trip very cool and I liked the Nature Museum very much.

The picture that I really like was in the Nature Museum. In the Water Gallery, there was a real jellyfish. Because I never see that thing, it was very impressive, it was beautiful. We can see in it. It was purple and pink. It was weird too because it swims like if it didn’t know how to walk. I don’t no if it had eyes or brain because they are invisible. We can see with human’s eyes but we can’t see their mouth or their eyes. It’s the first animal that I didn’t see its eyes or mouth. I think it’s a fantastic animal but he had an odd side. The jellyfish was not so big. Its head was like the top of a mushroom. It had like six legs. I really want to come back to this great museum and see it again!

That is what I liked at the Natural Museum of Ottawa. I liked the mammals gallery because I could take some pictures. There were polar bears, lynx, wolves, caribous, squirrels etc... My favorite animal was the polar bear. The polar bear was covered in white fur. It hunted a seal. The seal was hiding in a hole in the ice. The polar bear's paw almost catched the seal. There were other animals that I appreciated in the gallery like the squirrel. The squirrel was in a tree looking at the town, the tail floating under the branch. The wolves were hunting a bison, a furious bison. There were the lynx too, with the mother lynx in the forest in the summer with her baby looking around him. In conclusion that is what I liked in the Natural Museum of Ottawa.

On Thursday November 25th, I went to Ottawa and I visited two museums. The first was the War Museum and the second was the Museum of Nature and I will talk you about this museum, more specific about the Arctic Gallery.
One day, we visited two museums. I didn’t have a lot of time and it was so fast. The second museum we visited was the Nature Museum and I really really liked it because with my team, we chose what gallery we wanted to visit.

When we arrived in the first room, there were some videos and they were projected on some real ice blocks. In the second room, we learned about the Inuit, fishing in winter and some arctic animals. In the third room, we saw how they dried and smoked animals plus there were some interactive activities. I hope one day you will go and see all of the details yourselves. It’s worth the trip.

Out of the galleries, my favorite was the Arctic Gallery. In this gallery we could se a lot of things like animals, meat and warm clothing. I was really impressed when I saw the enormous Arctic animals, it was so real and beautiful. Under the animals we saw plates with information on the animals. In a room we found how the Inuit dried and smoked meat. I really liked my visit because it’s as if we were in the life of the Inuit. I recommend the Nature Museum. Thank for reading my text!

J'aime Le Petit Prince

La balade du serpent et de l’oiseau chanteur
Je vais vous parler d’un de mes gros coups de cœur littéraires. C’est en fait un grand classique qui s’intitule Le Petit Prince et qui a été écrit par le grand et fabuleux auteur Antoine de SaintExupéry.
Léon Prud’homme, GR 51-61 Ce livre est un hors-série de la saga Hunger Games, par Suzanne Collins. C’est l’histoire de Coriolanus Snow, 18 ans, qui se prépare à devenir pour la première fois mentor aux Jeux. L’avenir de la maison Snow, qui a connu des jours meilleurs, est désormais suspendu aux maigres chances de Coriolanus. Il devra faire preuve de charme, d’astuces et d’inventivité pour faire gagner sa candidate. Mais le sort s’acharne. Honte suprême, on lui a confié le plus misérable des tributs : une fille du district Douze. Leurs destins sont désormais liés. Chaque décision peut les conduire à la réussite ou à l’échec, au triomphe ou à la ruine.
Le petit prince habite l’astéroïde B612, à peine plus grand qu’une maison. Et chaque fois qu’il explore une autre planète, cela représente toujours une réalité de l’humain. Par exemple, à un moment, le petit prince visite une planète où un renard lui apprend la profondeur de l’amitié. Le livre du Petit Prince contient aussi des phrases comme si c’était une morale et qu’on devait apprendre de cela. Sa plus connue est : « On ne voit bien qu’avec le cœur. L’essentiel est invisible pour les yeux. »
J’ai adoré ce livre, car je trouve que l’auteure s’est plus concentrée sur l’aspect émotionnel de l’atmosphère qu’à la violence et au combat dans l’arène. Même si le personnage principal est de naturel mauvais et sournois, on réussit quand même à s’y attacher, et c’est ça qui fait la magie de ce livre. Je le recommande aux grands lecteurs qui aiment plus l’aspect émotif que la violence ou l’action. Cœurs sensibles s’abstenir.
J’espère que vous avez aimé mon texte et que vous allez lire ce merveilleux petit livre.

Le petit reporter Pâques
Marion Poirier Baillie, GR 41 L’origine de Pâques Pâques est précédé des 40 jours du carême. Les célébrations commencent la semaine précédant Pâques. Pendant toute la semaine, les chrétiens célèbrent par des messes spéciales les derniers jours de la vie de Jésus, telle qu’elle est racontée dans les évangiles. Pourquoi on mange du chocolat à Pâques? Il faut remonter au Moyen-Âge pour comprendre l’invention des cloches de Pâques. En effet, à cette époque, il était interdit de faire sonner les cloches des églises durant la période de Pâques. Ainsi, les adultes racontaient aux plus jeunes que les cloches voyageaient jusqu’à Rome afin de se faire bénir par les papes. Selon la tradition, les cloches sèment des œufs que les enfants prennent plaisir à décorer. Ensuite, la tradition se transforme au 19e siècle et on confectionne des œufs en chocolat, car le cacao est peu dispendieux.

La Russie a commencé son invasion de l’Ukraine le jeudi 24 février. Le président russe Vladimir Poutine a signalé les hostilités deux jours après que le Donbass a reconnu l’indépendance des territoires séparatistes ukrainiens. Le président ukrainien Volodymyr Zelensky a exhorté les Européens à agir. Par conséquent, le gouvernement russe a l’intention d’inciter l’Ukraine à ne pas rejoindre l’Organisation du traité de l’Atlantique Nord (OTAN). L’OTAN est une alliance militaire entre 28 pays européens, les États-Unis et le Canada. L’OTAN permet à ces pays de concentrer leurs moyens (militaires, véhicules, armes, etc.) pour assurer leur défense en cas de conflit avec d’autres pays. L’Ukraine veut s’impliquer.

Le coin du Service de garde Une nouvelle murale orne maintenant un mur de notre école et c’est grâce à un projet du Service de garde. Quelques groupes ont participé au projet : celui de Philippe en maternelle, de Marie-Thérèse (et Kamel) au premier cycle, de Cristina au deuxième cycle et tous ceux du troisième cycle. Chaque groupe a d’abord eu une rencontre avec l’illustrateur, Steve Beshwaty, pour présenter le projet et faire les dessins. Par la suite, M. Steve a fait le montage avec tous les dessins des enfants. Il est venu tracer le dessin final lors d’une journée pédagogique et chaque jour, deux ou trois élèves sont venus l’aider à peindre la murale.
