Joe Kronenberg has poured his heart and soul into his artwork over the years. Through his paintings and art shows, he’s touched countless lives, made lifelong friends, and built an incredible community of collectors and supporters who love not only his work but the person he is.
On September 23 his world was turned upside down when he suffered a heart attack, ultimately leading to an unexpected quintuple bypass surgery. Thankfully, the surgery was a success and Joe is now home recovering, but the road to recovery will be long and will require much rest. This means missing upcoming art shows, pushing back commissions, and putting his passion on hold for the sake of his health.
While we are all so grateful that he is still with us, this also means the financial stress of medical expenses and lost income weighs heavily on him and his family. It will be important that Joe be able to focus on his healing and recovery rather than finances and missed opportunities.
As longtime friends of Joe’s, we want to contribute the best way we know how. The proceeds from this silent auction, with donated works from Joe’s friends, fellow artists, and collectors, will go toward Joe’s hospital costs and his recovery journey.
From Joe’s Family: From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us take care of him the way he has taken care of so many through his art and friendship.
Please support Joe Kronenberg with a purchase of one of these generously donated works.

19 x 19 oil, custom handmade
This painting is a reflection of where I come from - rural Montana. Here, the rhythm of life was measured by seasons, not by clocks. I grew up surrounded by open pastures, by the slow movements of cattle under the big sky, by the scent of hay and dust in the air. Those early landscapes shaped how I see color, light, and space. They taught me to notice the subtle beauty in simplicity. The people I grew up with taught me to be both self-reliant and to take care of our friends/family when they need us.
I’ve used thick and juicy oil paint to honor the land and its texture. The rough edges of work-worn days, the way sunlight breaks into gold across the field, the steady calm of animals that have always belonged to this place. These cows aren’t just part of the scene. They are symbols of endurance, of the quiet strength that defines the people and the land of Montana. We take of each other here.
Joe is a friend and a colleague. Please do consider donating to his fund by purchasing this 100% donation.
