The Wall of Fame at the Maranoa PCYC in Roma will remain at its current location and be integrated into the facility redesign. It will also be digitalised to showcase local sporting legends at events across the region. Nominate a local sports star at: maranoa co/WallofFame
Roma Rest Area Project Council has approved to replace the shelter and seating at the Roma Rest Area, including a shade structure and park tables The project, completed by local business DMAC, will be finished by Q3 of the 2025/26 financial year.

Arcadia Valley Road Upgrade
Council awarded a $4.8 million contract to Cooper McCullough Group to upgrade four key curves on Arcadia Valley Road
This project, supported by the Australian Government and Santos, will improve safety and connectivity with the Central Highlands
Lions Park Upgrades
Over $230,000 has been allocated for irrigation and grounds improvements at Lions Park in Roma Council is refining the project scope to ensure long-term sustainability and the best outcomes for the community.

After a short break over the Christmas period, work on the Denise Spencer Aquatic Centre has returned to full swing, with a number of key construction activities completed during December & January.

Concreting of the 50m pool base
Installation of the pool wall formwork and reinforcing
Amenities building
Continuation of amenities building services installation
Commencement of amenities building footing construction
Commencement of retaining wall blockwork
Toddler Pool / Splash Pad
Concreting the toddler pool/splashpad backwash tank
Preparation to the toddler pool/splashpad area
25m Pool
Concreting of the balance tank walls & lid
Arrival of 25m Myrtha pool components to site
