FAMILY UPDATE SPRING 2026
IN BLOOM AT MAPLEWOOD As the days grow longer and the first signs of spring begin to bloom, we welcome this refreshing new season with open arms. Spring is a time of renewal and offers an opportunity to step outside, feel the warmth of the sun, and enjoy the beauty of nature coming back to life. From peaceful walks and fresh air to celebrating meaningful spring holidays with loved ones, this season brings a renewed sense of energy and connection. At Maplewood Senior Living, we look forward to embracing all that spring has to offer while continuing to create vibrant, engaging experiences for our residents and families.
CELEBRATING EASTER & PASSOVER Creating space for connection and togetherness is at the heart of what we do. As residents and families observe Passover and Easter, we’re grateful to celebrate alongside our residents, welcome their families and honor the traditions that matter most.
VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION MONTH April is Volunteer Appreciation Month, and we want to extend our sincere gratitude to the many individuals who support our communities. We are fortunate to welcome individuals who share their time, talents, and energy in an effort to make a difference in the daily lives of our residents. We’re especially grateful for local schools that help foster intergenerational connections, garden clubs, and individuals who help maintain and beautify our outdoor spaces, and volunteers who share their talents through poetry, music, and craft-based programs. If you have ideas to share or are interested in getting involved, we encourage you to connect with your community’s Lifestyle Director to learn more about volunteer opportunities.
TRADITIONS, CELEBRATIONS & TIME TOGETHER This season brought a wonderful series of celebrations across Maplewood communities, creating opportunities for residents and families to come together. From festive Super Bowl gatherings filled with energy and camaraderie to heartfelt Valentine’s Day moments centered on connection and appreciation, each occasion was thoughtfully celebrated. Lively St. Patrick’s Day performances with Irish dancers and joyful Easter gatherings added to the season, with traditions, music, and shared meals bringing everyone together, often with loved ones right alongside them.
CONNECTION BEYOND THE COMMUNITY Time spent beyond the community brought a fresh sense of energy and connection this season, with many residents enjoying outings alongside friends and neighbors. From exploring local museums and a day at the casino to a special visit to Petco to spend time with animals, each experience offered something new to enjoy together. Shared lunches and dinners, along with a memorable visit to a yacht club, created opportunities to connect, explore, and make the most of time spent outside the community.
STEPPING INTO SPRING With the arrival of warmer days, residents embraced the beauty of the season, enjoying time outdoors after a winter filled with snow. From savoring Rita’s Italian ice on sunny afternoons to hands-on flower arranging that brought the colors of spring indoors, each experience reflected the renewal of the season. Time spent outside, surrounded by fresh air and familiar faces, offered a welcome return to the rhythms of spring.
