HONORING OUR COMMUNITY’S SPIRIT Maplewood at Newtown recently participated in the local Labor Day Parade, exemplifying our commitment to community connection and vibrant living. This cherished event has been a Newtown tradition since 1962 and one that many of our residents have enjoyed year after year. Residents joyfully represented Maplewood on a decorated float, engaging with neighbors and fostering a sense of belonging. This event highlights the importance we place on community involvement as a key component of overall wellness. The knitting group at Maplewood at Strawberry Hill visited the Malta House, a nonprofit organization that provides wraparound services for at-risk, single mothers, and gifted handmade hats and blankets. In honor of September 11th, Maplewood at Brewster recognized local heroes at the Brewster Police and Fire Stations, gifting first responders a Gratitude Goodie Basket to express their deepest appreciation for their daily service to commemorate the sacrifices made 23 years ago. Across all Maplewood communities, we regularly organize similar activities that promote active engagement, social connections, and the celebration of timeless traditions.
