HUMAN SUIT CIRCUIT 2018-2019
An inter-multi disciplinary project based on Human Suit pictoric collection that involves artistic collaborations with invited artists that reflect the humanity historic intention of proving its abstract truths, its souls, with the ephemeral of its creations, and knowing that the essential cannot be proved by itself without physical interventions that seek to prolong and decipher each particle of its expirable materialization full of unanswered realities to the question that is repeated insistently in each of the artworks: “What Are We?
IDENTITIES 2019
A small painting series inspired and created during the artistic residency of the 6th Latinamerican and Caribbean Art Festival holded in Beijing in June, 2019. The 4 pieces reflects the cultural interchange that rely on the different identities of Man Yu, who was born in Hong Kong but lives in Costa Rica since she was 9 years old: the chinese facet, the costarrican facet, the artist facet and the espiritual facet.
WOMEN PROJECT 2016
Woman Project is a serie of 4 conceptual artworks made through the installation of intervened daily-basis objects. The serie delves into the issue of empowered women: her origin, her nature and her self-realization process. The serie was exhibited at the V Edition of Woman Art, yearly organized by the Commerce Chamber of Costa Rica, where the artwork “I’m not this suit” won the contest because the clear representantion of the entrepreneur women.

WOMEN OF THE ORIENT SERIES 2005-2006
The first painting series of Man Yu, created as a reflection of the nostalgy originated from the migration. Each one of the pieces were based in the symbolism and colors of the Asian culture, using women, Chinese Ă“peras and Japanese Geishas, as an study of the technique.
