sustainable way. Best management practices (BMPs) are the tools that producers can use to ensure farming continues to be sustainable. However, for BMPs to be widely adopted, they must provide positive economic outcomes for producers. To address this, the new research chair will examine financial incentive models that enhance the adoption of BMPs, business tools and new technologies. Manitoba Beef Producers, Manitoba Agriculture, and Manitoba Beef & Forage Initiatives have partnered with the University of Manitoba (UM) to create a new research chair position that will advance beef production sustainability in Canada.
