MANI PRESS

MANI PRESS is a collective of sisters Olivia, Sienna, and Dio Ruiz committed to using zines and other artistic mediums to explore what it means to exist at the end of the world. We understand the project of a “press” broadly to refer both to printmaking processes as well as experimentation with artistic performance. We aim, then, to recreate and share print media but also to represent the ephemerality of certain art forms that cannot be reproduced. We might then realize the term “press” to in its active sense - to press upon the paper, the moment, the body, to leave an impression that may or may not last.
