ENROLLMENT & ATTENDANCE
The Camp Wise experience is intentionally designed as a complete session. Campers build friendships, cabin communities, and confidence over time, and uninterrupted participation allows every child to fully benefit from the camp experience.
We ask that campers:
• Arrive on their scheduled arrival day.
• Remain at camp for the entire session.
• Depart on the scheduled departure day.
To preserve the continuity of each cabin community:
• The Camp Director may approve exceptions for significant family lifecycle events, such as weddings, b’nai mitzvah, baby namings, or funerals.
• Early departures, late arrivals, or mid-session absences for athletic competitions, performances, tournaments, club activities, or similar extracurricular commitments will not be approved.
• Tuition is not reduced for late arrivals or early departures, including those resulting from illness.
• Providing false information to remove a camper from camp during a session may result in cancellation of enrollment without refund.
CAMPER HEALTH & WELL-BEING
The safety and well-being of every camper depends upon families providing complete and accurate medical information.
Prior to arrival, Camp Wise requires:
• Full disclosure of all current and past medical, mental health, and psychological treatment or hospitalization.
• A completed physician-signed health form.
• Required immunization records in accordance with Ohio Department of Health requirements.
Camp Wise reserves the right to postpone or cancel attendance when a camper’s physical, emotional, or behavioral needs cannot be safely supported within our community setting.
If significant medical or psychological information was not fully disclosed during enrollment and Camp Wise determines it cannot safely serve the camper, no refund will be issued for early departure.
Camp Wise medical staff are authorized to act on behalf of parents or guardians in emergency situations using their best professional judgment.
If a family chooses to withdraw a camper before the end of a session, tuition is non-refundable.
COMMUNITY EXPECTATIONS
Camp Wise is committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and respectful community for every camper and staff member.
The Camp Director reserves the right to dismiss any camper whose behavior is incompatible with successful participation in the Camp Wise community. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Willfully disregarding camp rules or the Camper Code of Conduct.
• Endangering the safety of themselves or others.
• Threatening harm to themselves or others.
• Physical, verbal, or psychological harassment or abuse.
• Destroying camp or personal property.
• Requiring a level of supervision that cannot reasonably be provided within Camp Wise’s group supervision model.
• Possessing or using alcohol or illegal drugs while at camp or on a Camp Wise program or trip.
There are no refunds for dismissals related to behavior.
REGISTRATION & PAYMENT
• Registration for first session returning campers and their younger siblings opens Monday, July 13, 2026. Registration for second session returning campers and their siblings opens Monday, August 10, 2026.
• A non-refundable $150 application fee is required for each camper, for each enrolled session. Space is not held until this fee is received.
• A $180 security fee will be added to each camper’s account.
• Families are automatically enrolled in a seven-month payment plan with equal monthly payments beginning October 1, 2026, and ending April 1, 2027.
• Families wishing to pay using an alternate schedule, including payment in full, should contact the Camp Office.
• Full tuition must be paid by April 1, 2027. Camp Wise reserves the right to cancel registrations with unpaid balances.
• Credit card payments are subject to a 3% processing fee.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY
We understand that family circumstances sometimes change. Our cancellation schedule is intended to balance flexibility for families with the significant staffing, transportation, programming, and operational commitments Camp Wise makes throughout the year.
• Through December 31, 2026, camp tuition and the security fee are fully refundable for any reason.
• Cancellations between January 1, 2027, and March 1, 2027, are subject to a $750 processing fee for each cancelled session (maximum $1,000 for a full-summer enrollment).
• After March 1, 2027, all camp fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Families may wish to purchase third-party camp cancellation insurance, through their CampIn Touch account or privately, to protect against unexpected changes after the refund period.
FINANCIAL AID
Camp Wise is committed to making the camp experience accessible to as many families as possible.
• Financial aid requests must be submitted at the time of application.
• The $150 application fee is required for financial aid applicants.
• Financial aid applications are completed online and are awarded based on demonstrated financial need in the order applications are received until available funds are exhausted.
DISCOUNTS, PROMOTIONS & REFERRAL PROGRAM
Mandel JCC Membership
Families with an active Mandel JCC of Cleveland annual membership of at least one year qualify for member tuition rates. Families from outside the Cleveland area are welcome to become members to receive this benefit.
Families who are active members in good standing at another JCC are eligible for a $200 tuition discount per camper. Membership status will be verified.
Sibling Discount
Families enrolling more than one child receive a 5% tuition discount for each additional younger sibling after the first enrolled camper. The Staff-in-Training (SIT) and Israel Leadership Summer (ILS) programs are not eligible for this discount.
Early Enrollment Promotions
Returning campers who complete registration and pay the application fee during the first seven days of registration will receive the annual Early Enrollment Gift (Camp Wise Owala).
Campers who enroll by September 30, 2026, will also receive the limited-edition Camp Wise Early Enrollment SWAG item as advertised.
Referral Program
Help grow the Camp Wise community by referring a new family. Families who refer a first-time Camp Wise camper and are identified during the new family’s application may earn tuition credits toward Summer 2027. The referred camper may not be a sibling of the referring family.
Referral credits are:
• First referral: $200
• Second referral: additional $300
• Third referral: additional $400
Families may earn up to $2,900 in referral credits through a maximum of eight successful referrals. Families who host a Camp Wise House Party are also eligible to participate in the referral program.
FINAL NOTES
• Camp Wise is not responsible for loss or damage to camper’s property.
• Camp Wise is authorized to take campers out of camp on supervised trips and activities.
• Camp Wise may use any photo, video recording, audio recording, or likeness of campers for promotional purposes.
• Parents will receive a Parent-Camper Handbook prior to camp with additional information, policies and procedures, and the camper code of conduct.
