KELLYKENUBIA

Amanda

How would you describe yourself?

I’m an entertainer, entrepreneur, and creative. Most people know me as MrKellyK, but at my core I’m someone who loves bringing people together through music, events, and unforgettable experiences. Whether I’m on the mic, in front of a camera, or building new projects, I always try to bring positive energy and professionalism.

You have a unique style, what fashion inspires you?

My style is inspired by confidence, culture, and individuality. I take inspiration from luxury fashion, streetwear, music, and international travel. Fashion is another way of telling your story without saying a word, so I always wear what feels authentic to me.

Tell us about your modelling career.

Modelling has been a huge part of my journey and helped me develop confidence, discipline, and creativity. It’s allowed me to work with talented photographers, brands, and creatives while building my personal image and brand. Every shoot is an opportunity to express a different side of myself.

If you could choose between music and fashion what would it be and why?

Music, without hesitation. Fashion creates an impression, but music creates emotion. A great song can change someone’s mood, bring people together, and create memories that last forever. That’s a powerful thing.

What do you love about your lifestyle?

The freedom to create, travel, meet people from all over the world, and be part of unforgettable moments. Every day is different, and that’s what excites me. I enjoy building experiences that people remember long after the event is over.

What are the highlights of your career so far?

Building the MrKellyK brand, becoming a recognised compère and entertainer, growing KVerse Empire, working with major events, and helping create experiences for thousands of people. Seeing an idea grow into a respected brand has been one of my proudest achievements.

MC-ing or DJing, which do you prefer?

MC-ing. There’s nothing like having a microphone in your hand and being able to connect directly with a crowd. Reading the room, lifting the energy, and creating moments in real time is something I genuinely love.

The Scouse Summer Party Season gives Liverpool actor and producer, Matthew George Walsh, much to celebratecontinuing his mission to help fundraise for local charities and showcasing the city’s talented creatives…

Matthew’s first ever visit to The Cavern, was as local charity supremo Tony Murray’s guest, to raise awareness of the Liverpool Eating Disorder charity - www.tedsuk.comwhere some of the cast of the new Liverpool film, Semolina Pilchard, were serenaded by Danny Taylor, and introduced to the phenomenal rising teen stars of the Welsh band, ‘Anomaly’

Matthew was later reunited with his primary school friend, Brookside actress, Sarah Withe, (Jules Bradley/Simpson) at the Brookside Summer Reunion, hosted by Philip (Tinhead) Olivier on the stunning heritage floating restaurant ‘Daffodil’ on the city’s waterfront Matthew has cast a lot of Brookside actors in his recent films, and continues to work through his casting wishlist to acknowledge these, and others who have inspired him, in upcoming projects.

What’s next? - join him and guests at Bekah Smith’s upcoming Kirkby event on July 12 to raise funds for a lift at the iconic Epstein theatre, which also recently hosted the industry screening of the new Kerry (Out Of Time) Williams film - ‘The Underachievers’ - starring Crissy Rock and a very talented ensemble cast

But I always caught fish. Fishing helped me cope mentally through everything I was going through. it was always my go-to” Jay describes himself as someone who was once on a very different path.

“She reminded me that I’m always teaching and helping other people, sharing my knowledge and experience — so why not build something of my own?”

With Jade’s support, the brand was born.

For Jay Macca, fishing has never just been a hobby: it has been a lifeline.

Now the founder of newly launched angling accessories brand Carp Stacker, Jay is building a business rooted in authenticity, quality and a lifelong love of the sport that has been part of his identity since childhood.

“I’ve fished since I was five,” says Jay. “I remember waiting at the window for my grandad to take me fishing. I lived for those moments. He taught me everything, and I quickly became obsessed.”

Growing up, fishing became more than just something to pass the time. It became a place of calm, focus and escape.

“I didn’t have much growing up, so I fished all the local parks and made do with what I had.

“I’ve turned my life around massively. All I’d ever known was the underworld, but I hated that life I had to realise I was more than that.”

A huge part of that transformation came through his partner, Jade McGuinness, owner of The Body Fixer, who Jay credits as his biggest inspiration.

“Jade has inspired me for 13 years. She showed me my self-worth and gave me direction and purpose. She pushes me to be the better version of myself — and she takes no nonsense, which is exactly what I needed.”

The idea for Carp Stacker came when Jay was looking in the wrong direction waiting for someone else to give him an opportunity.

“I always hoped for a sponsor. That was the aim.

Then Jade turned around and said, ‘Why are you waiting for a sponsor? Become the sponsor.’”

That advice changed everything.

“She created my logo, helped source products and basically said: ‘Here is your business. Now go and build it ’”

Carp Stacker is starting with high-quality polarised fishing glasses, caps and bucket hats, with a full range of angling accessories planned for the future.

What makes the brand different, Jay says, is that it comes from real experience.

“I’m not someone who just picked fishing because it was trendy. I know what works because I’ve lived it. I know the materials, I know what anglers need, and I want to create products made to a high standard while still being affordable.

Fishing has given him confidence, community and purpose — and he wants Carp Stacker to do the same for others

“Fishing isn’t just fishing — it’s mental health, it’s having someone to talk to, it’s giving people something positive.”

PROUD MUM MOMENT:

Today feels like one of those deeply personal victories

My son Floyd has just graduated with a First in Chemistry He follows Honey, who achieved a First in Law, and Saxon, who achieved a First in Biochemistry, all from Liverpool University. And while we're on the subject of my bragging about my children, Albany is a curious free spirit who takes herself off on day trips to Geneva in between booking her next exploration around the world, Darling has been earmarked for Oxford University and Ezme, my youngest at just 12 is in top sets.

When I started my business in Liverpool 18 years ago, it wasn't always a supportive place to be. People love to talk about community, collaboration and supporting entrepreneurs, but that wasn't always my experience I didn't have a family network to help with childcare If I had a meeting, my babies came with me. I breastfed between appointments, attended networking events with a

build a business whilst raising six children. Some people saw determination while others saw an easy target for bullying.

I was trolled. I was laughed at. People whispered when I walked into a room with a bag full of nappies and a baby in arms. I was made to feel that being a mother somehow made me less professional. At times, the business community could be incredibly unkind and I won two defamation cases These were the moments when I questioned myself and I wondered whether I belonged. But I carried on because I believed in my business, bills had to be paid and a lot of little people relied on me so giving up was never an option.

What those critics never understood was that my children were watching. They weren't just coming to meetings. They were watching resilience in action. They were learning that hard work matters, that setbacks don't define you and that when people underestimate you, the best response isn't an argument, it's to focus on your own journey and keep going.

We don't need to tear each other down to succeed and supporting another entrepreneur costs nothing Encouraging a parent who's trying to juggle family and business costs nothing. Choosing kindness over judgement costs nothing Those babies who came to meetings and sat backstage at my events grew into remarkable adults.

So to everyone who thought I was unprofessional because I brought my children with me, or who laughed, trolled and underestimated me... I am having the last laugh. Turns out the babies in the boardroom were never the problem.
