COPY DEADLINE FOR ADVERTISING & EDITORIAL: 28 OF THE MONTH TH

Editor’s Note

Hello June!

While tourism has been down in previous months, everyone is anticipating a stronger month of visitors. And one of the biggest mistakes I see businesses make in Cyprus is cutting advertising and PR the moment sales slow down. It seems logical on the surface to tighten budgets, reduce spending, wait for things to improve. But in reality, silence rarely creates growth. The brands that survive difficult periods are the ones that stay visible. Advertising is not an expense when times are hard; it is an investment in staying relevant while competitors disappear from view You wouldn’t stop going to the gym because you haven’t seen results after two weeks. Marketing works much the same way. Consistency builds recognition, trust and ultimately sales.

In uncertain markets, businesses should be asking, “How do we communicate better?” rather than “What can we cut?”

Visibility creates opportunity. And in today’s crowded world, being forgotten is far more expensive than advertising.

Stay stylish and visbile x

How would you define “spiritual coaching”inyourownwords?

I am careful with the term spiritual coaching because it is often unclear whatitactuallymeans.

Spirit means Geist — mind, spirit, consciousness. And in my understanding, Geist is the energetic formoftheintellect:thinking, speaking, decidingandacting.

MymethodiscalledImpactAlignment. It combines depth psychology, languageandenergeticfieldwork.

I do not only listen to what a person says. I sense the energy they are speaking from, the decision underneath, and whether their conscious wish actually matches the fieldtheyareactingfrom Because a person does not automatically receive what they claim towant.

They only receive what their deeper decision, their energy and their field allowtohappen.

How did your spiritual journey begin, and was thereaspecificmomentthatmadeyourealise thiswasyourpath?

I like to say that every human being has an intellect. But that does not mean they use it in a meaningful way.

Itisexactlythesamewithspirituality. Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is to makeacleardecision.

Whatisitexactlythatyoudo?

MymethodiscalledImpactAlignmentandwhatIdo is, at its core, very precise: I find out what is blocked andcreatethespaceforthenew.

I look at whether what a person consciously wants is even compatible with their inner decisions. Because very often someone says: “I want this,” but inside, somethingcompletelydifferentisatwork. Then, together with my client, I align their inner world with what is truly wanted. Not with what sounds reasonableorwhatothersexpect

If my client wants this, we work exactly there and we can dissolve these fields and take them out of the presentlife.

When someone comes to you for guidance, what aretheyreallyseeking?

Most of the time, people do not come to me with the actual issue. They come when the pain has become bigenough:

Whenthebusinessdoesnotcarry. Whenthebodycalls.

Whentherelationshipisnolongerhome. When they function on the outside, but inside they know it cannot go on like this. And then comes the visiblewish:

USA Mompreneur finds Cyprus her home for growing her Rave Baby Raves and Wedding Nannies

First of all what brought you to Cyprus from the USA and what do you love about it?

We moved to Cyprus because my husband made a joke at work He was obviously the only one who got the joke because 23 days later I lived in Cyprus. It took me a while to learn to love Cyprus, especially coming from Las Vegas and always being on the move. Siga Siga was a learning experience and now it's a lifestyle that I cherish and love I love that Cyprus showed me how to slow down.

What made you think Cyprus needed baby raves and wedding nannies specifically?

I am a mom who loves to travel and loves to party.... without the stress and mom guilt My goal with The Holiday Co Cyprus and Rave Baby Rave is to help parents enjoy themselves with their children. I also am always the girl's night, girl's trip, birthday, and anniversary trip planner and I know it can be exhausting and we are here to be the on site coordinators so everyone can enjoy No matter the idea, we can create the momemnt Parents and trip planners should not get home from holiday and feel like they still

What does a typical event look like from start to finish?

Imagine going to the club, but taking the kids with you. Family raves are set up for fun from beginning to end. We always have 2-3 djs. We even brought Dayah Modo for carnival last year in Limassol There are bounce houses, food, crafts, and of course a full bar for the parents The sky is the limit for The Holiday Co private events Scavenger hunts, Sip and Paint, Private chef dinners, sunset picnics on the beach, and so much more

First of all what brought What’s been the hardest part of launching something so niche?

We moved to Cyprus onestly I have been blessed with this launch. The hardest part was convincing the parents to let loose and NOT chase behind their kids. Limassol is so kid friendly that when I went to Dusty Monkey, Rumours, and Red Resto (Molos) with my concept they were all beyond helpful. Most of the venue owners, DJ's, and vendors are parents themselves so it was not hard to put together a day of fun for families. Now that I have moved to Ayia Napa finding a venue has been a bit more of a hurdle and once I jump over it we are going to bring some more family fun!

How do you create a party atmosphere that’s safe and baby friendly?

We always make sure the raves are enclosed so that we have no tiny escapees. Most kids spend their time in the bounce houses, sensory zones, and craft areas while parents drink and dance. There is always security and extra attendants to help with the kids.

What’s been the most surprising reaction from parents?

" My daughter is 11 months old and the last time I had this much fun was about 20 months ago. Do the math" - This mom and dad came up and just hugged me. They had not had time out like this since before she was pregnant. That's why I do it. Being a parent doesn't stop the party. Our kids are here to enhance life, not end it. It's great to see parents let loose and the reaction of their children when they do.

Could this become a franchise model?

Maybe sometime in the future but for now I love being hands on and getting to interact with the families Almost all of my friend group has come from Rave Baby Rave events As an expat, your friends become your family and I can't imagine franchising that right now.

You’re a serial entrepreneur, tell us about your other skills

I am extremely multifaceted and my AuDHD (Autism and ADHD) is my super power. This is a very accurate adjective lol. Most people know me for Rave Baby Rave and The Holiday Co Cyprus, but honestly, I’ve always been someone who builds things from ideas. Beyond events and experiences, I work in branding, marketing, website design, automation, and client experience strategy I’ve helped businesses launch from scratch, rebuild their online presence, grow communities, and create experiences people actually remember

I’m also deeply involved in mental health and education marketing through DBT in Schools, where I help connect educators, counselors, and parents with tools that support youth mental health worldwide.

I think my other skill is being a natural people connector, whether it’s a family rave, a luxury holiday setup, or a brand that’s lost its voice, and turning it into something people can feel connected to.

What to Expect at a Baby Rave Child-Friendly Music: DJs play upbeat electronic music, techno, and classic rave tunes, but the volume is kept at safe levels for sensitive ears.

Sensory Stimulation: The spaces feature dynamic elements like foam machines, parachute play, glow sticks, laser lights, and bubble machines.

Daytime Hours: These events usually take place in the morning or early afternoon, generally lasting one to two hours to respect nap schedules

Cyprus Is Getting Older – And the Numbers

Reveal a Major Shift in Society

Today, people aged 65 to 79 make up a significantly larger proportion of society than they did 20 years ago.

Cyprus is ageing and faster than many may realise. New figures released by the European statistics agency, Eurostat, show the average age of people living on the island has climbed to 41 years in 2025, compared with 34 9 years two decades ago.

In simple terms, Cyprus has aged by more than six years since 2005, with four of those years added in just the last decade alone. The change reflects a growing demographic trend that could reshape everything from healthcare and pensions to employment and family life

The data paints a clear picture: there are fewer children, more older adults, and an increasing pressure on the working-age population. In 2025, those over 65 accounted for 13.9% of Cyprus’ population up from 9 4% in 2005 and 11 3% in 2015

Meanwhile, younger generations are shrinking.

Children under 15 now represent 15.2% of the population, a noticeable drop from almost 20% in 2005. Teenagers aged 15 to 19 have also declined, falling from 78% to just 4 9% over the same period

The working-age population, between 20 and 64, remains the largest demographic group at 61.7%, but experts warn ageing populations often place greater economic pressure on this segment as healthcare costs rise and retirement numbers increase Cyprus is far from alone The ageing population trend is being seen across Europe, with Eurostat data highlighting a continent-wide demographic shift.

Across the EU, there are now around 99 million people aged 65 and over accounting for 22% of the total population The number has increased in every EU country over the last 20 years.

At the same time, the proportion of young people continues to fall. Children under 15 make up only 14% of the EU population, while those under 19 account for 20% Every EU member state has recorded declines in younger age groups over the past two decades.

What Does It Mean for Cyprus?

An ageing population is not simply a statistic It affects everyday life

Longer life expectancy is undoubtedly positive, but fewer young people entering the workforce could create future challenges around pensions, healthcare provision, housing and economic growth. Cyprus has long been attractive to retirees and expats seeking warmer climates and a slower pace of life.

The question now is whether policies around family support, employment, healthcare and immigration can adapt quickly enough to balance the scales.

NO, THEY AREN’T SPRAYING THE CLOUDS

There’s a particular type of conversation that tends to appear whenever you look up at a slightly dramatic sky. You could be minding your own business, enjoying a bit of sunshine, when someone gestures upward with the confidence of a seasoned meteorologist and says: “See that? They’re spraying the clouds again.”

And just like that, you’re no longer looking at weather. You’re apparently witnessing a live episode of Stranger Things with zero plot, no evidence, and a very committed supporting cast of conspiracy theorists. Let’s talk about the mysterious “they”.

Never named Never identified

Just a floating, shapeless group of sky villains with apparently unlimited aviation budgets and absolutely no interest in being subtle.

Who are “they”?

Scientists? Busy trying to get grant funding for, you know, actual research.

Airlines? On average 110,000 flights per day crowding our skies.

Here's the science: Planes fly through cold, high-altitude air

Exhaust comes out.

Water vapour and tiny particles can form.

depending on temperature and humidity. That’s what creates those white lines you see

Sometimes they disappear quickly, sometimes they linger and spread. Then they drift and fade. Just physics quietly doing its job while people on the ground are inventing a Netflix conspiracy series in real time That's it. It’s just the atmosphere doing atmospheric things. Social media is the great amplifier of conspiracy theories. Always with zero scientific input but maximum confidence Cloud seeding does exist and is carefully planned, weatherdependent, and targeted at specific regions with a clear purpose, usually related to water supply or drought management It’s typically carried out in coordinated programmes by governments or research bodies, often in inland or mountainous areas where rainfall can be influenced more effectively and where water storage like reservoirs can benefit. Contrary to popular opinion, it isn't done over Sefton Park or Benidorm. The sky isn't randomly sprayed to cause rain and make you more miserable than you already are Where cloud seeding is used, it’s selective, conditional, and logistical and mostly done in China and the USA and very rarely across Europe. People's lives are so boring they're looking for drama and so make up theories that the

Men in Black Men in Black are controlling the skies.

The sky does not need help being dramatic or interesting It already can turn blue to grey in 10 minutes and create sunsets that look like an oil painting had an emotional breakdown And occasionally frighten everyone just for fun

If anything, it should be charged for its theatrics

Next time someone points at the sky and confidently declares that they are spraying it, you can smile politely or change the subject

Because, Brenda, I’m sure the entire global aviation industry isn't personally targeting your postcode to make it rain just because you've hung your washing out
