Thank you! Dear Resident, Since I was selected as the Conservative Party candidate for Bury South, I have been overwhelmed by the warm reception you have shown me, culminating in the tremendous achievement last week in turning Bury South blue for the first time in 22 years! This victory is our victory and I want to thank each and every one of you who went out to vote for me and the Conservative Party. I look forward to meeting you all in the coming months and years and to make Bury and Sedgley an even better place. I am keen to work together on the community’s priorities and have already met the Chancellor of the Exchequer this week to discuss investment for our area I want to give a special vote of thanks to Ivan Lewis for selflessly terminating his own re-election campaign and advising people to vote for me instead. I pay tribute to Ivan’s years of dedicated service to Bury South and I hope to replicate his good work and be a true friend and ally to the Jewish community. I also want to pay tribute to the Sedgley campaign team, ably led by my colleague Councillor David Silbiger. My grateful thanks go to all the volunteers who canvassed on the day and in the lead up to the election. Details of my local advice surgeries will be publicised in due course once my constituency office has been set up.
